- We drive up to the outside of the restaurant-the agreed meeting place, to see Tsundere-kun with his dad, and of course, the red blur from earlier himself.
- "I thought you couldn't make it.", my father says to him.
- "That's what SHE thought. I proved her wrong.", Tomboy-kun says, folding his arms and grinning.
- "I know it's important to live a little while you're still young, but what will your mother think?", my father says.
- "Honey...", my mother says to my father.
- "I know.", my father says, as if he knew that this was not his affair, but they were both concerned for Tomboy-kun, as they saw him as a surrogate son ever since that day he ate with us.
- "Both of you, get in.", my father says.
- "Take care of my kid, and that little rat there, too, okay?", the biker dad says to mine.
- "Of course. Safest driver on the west side of the city four years straight, right here.", my dad says to him with pride, and my mother nods in agreement.
- "Heh. Never doubted ya.", the former delinquent says, sure that Miri-chan was safer with them than with himself behind the wheel.
- "Uh, dad? There's a problem.", I call out behind him.
- He looks back.
- Both me and Tomboy-kun are squished on each side, with Tsundere-kun in the middle fidgeting his fingers in embarrassment, face red as a tomato.
- "Sumimasen...", he says.
- Tomboy-kun, unable to take being crushed, opens the door, and gets out. "It's fine. I can run to the party. You two have fun, ok?"
- Tsundere-kun calls out to him, "I'm really sorry, Keichan!"
- Tomboy-kun hollers out "No worries. See y'all there!", before taking off.
- My father says "So that's what sped past us earlier..."
- My mother goes "Like mother, like son."
- "By the way, didn't you say one other was going to join us?", my father said.
- "Yes. My fellow committee member Motonoya-kun. I'll have to let him know there's no space, however.", I tell him.
- "Sumimasen.", Tsundere-kun apologizes again.
- "No, don't be sorry, sweetie. It's perfectly fine.", my mother says to him consolingly.
- "Poor thing...", my father mutters.
- As I was about to text Cringe-kun, my phone buzzes, saying "You have received (1) message from Taiyagi Motonoya."
- That was fast.
- I open it up, and it says, "I have been here for HOURS, and he's really getting on my nerves. Where are you, man?"
- Who knew he would be there first? I guess tonight is full of surprises.
- I put the phone in my pocket where my joke cards were, and I said "Hey father? We can head to the party.". We start to drive off.
