  1. from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel General #924
  2. -----------------------
  3. Does Owlanon have an actual name? What name would fit him?
  4. -
  5. We've talked about this and it just went nowhere.
  6. He should keep his self-insert roots by not giving him a proper name to avoid OC stigma.
  7. -
  8. I call him solaris
  9. ------
  10. How well would Owlanon get along with the Hazbin Hotel cast?
  11. >Charlie
  12. >Vaggie
  13. >Angel Dust
  14. >Alastor
  15. >Nifty
  16. >Husk
  17. -
  18. >Charlie
  19. After some initial awkwardness, they get along fine. Owlnon isn't as enthused as Charlie, and doesn't really thing the Hotel will work, but she's nice, so he humors her ideas.
  20.
  21. >Vaggie
  22. A lot more contemptuous at the start, given Vaggie's distrustful nature, but she eventually realizes that Owlnon has no hidden agendas, and while he clearly doesn't believe in Charlie's ideas, he's polite enough to not belt it in her face. They get along better after that, although not as well as Owlnon does with Chuck.
  23.
  24. >Angel Dust
  25. Because of how much his behavior reminds him of his father's affair, he feels a deep discomfort around the spider, and blows him off hard. If Angel gets pushy enough, Owlnon will insult him in a way that would make it clear to anyone who knows his backstory that he's venting his father's failures at the spider, but for Angel, it'll just seem like Owlnon is being a prude. He eventually starts coming on him, and Owlnon will keep avoiding him. It's a constantly worsening relationship, with the Prince becoming increasingly paranoid and frustrated with the spider, while Angel becomes more and more put off by the owl's clear disgust with him, to the point where both refuse to acknowledge the other, even if they're the only ones in the room.
  26.
  27. >Alastor
  28. Though he's technically more powerful, Owlnon knows to keep his distance, and politely but firmly turns down any offer the Radio Demon makes. There's also an element of mounting paranoia here, but it's far more subtle and builds far slower than the one he feels towards Angel Dust. Alastor is kept at an arm's length, all the time, and any attempt he makes at intimidating him is met with Owlnon lazily cutting off some of Al's shadow tendrils, and boredly observing as the Radio Demon flinches and retracts them. This effortless dominance over the Radio Demon makes him rather appealing to some of the others - Vaggie in particular.

  30. >Niffty
  31. Her ideals about male companions are stuck in the '50s, so she treats the waif-ish, vaguely androgynous Owlnon as if he was a young boy. Owlnon doesn't mind, and even plays along, addressing her as "ma'am". He enjoys her doting hospitality, but knows better than to exploit it.
  32.
  33. >Husk
  34. Owlnon isn't a habitual drinker, so he doesn't frequent Husk's bar all that often.. He's polite, and given the cat's brusque, grouchy nature, he's not inclined to pry deeper, so they remain acquaintances at best.
