But I dont want to WORK

Covet: Tae was getting ready to get into the shower so that she could get ready for work. She'd come out of her room and made her way into the kitchen to grab a quick snack.
Alexithymiaa: -Noah was in the process of pouring cheese doodles into a big plastic bowl with the intent to offer them to Adam because he was just feeling super guilty after the incident last night. Grabbing the bowl, he turned and walked into the living room, holding the bowl out toward Adam who was just sitting on the couch studying and minding his own business. "Want some?" // Adam had his LSATs study book in his lap that he was reading. Seeing Tae come out of her room, he sent her a small wave and a smile before directing his attention to Noah who'd offered him multiple things to eat since he'd come upstairs. "No thank you."-
Covet: Tae reached out to take some of the cheese doodles from Noah, "I'll totally take some though. How are you guys?" she asked walking the rest of the way into the kitchen popping her snack into her mouth, so she could get a bottle of water out of the fridge.
Alexithymiaa: "Those aren't for you." Noah retorted, setting the bowl down on the coffee table within Adam's reaach so he could have some if he changed his mind. "We're good, right?" He asked Adam like they were fucking pals or some shit. // "Uh.... yeah, we're good. Just trying to study." He saaid as a gentle hint that maybe Noah should leave him alone for the first time all night.-
Covet: "You made the bowl public, not sorry" Tae said then turned to look at the both of them and raised an eyebrow. "Ah, sorry for interupting with my small talk then. I know your studying is important to you. What about you Noah, how goes the money hunt?"
AlexithymiaaAlexithymiaa : -Noah let out a deep breath, bringing his hands up to fold behind his head. "What money hunt? It's over. He said there's no competitions going on right now so that means no money." // "No, it's okay. I've been trying to study all night." He said as another gentle hint that Noah should leave him alone, looking at him. "Well there are other options to make money other than gaming competitions."-
Covet: "Okay see how far that excuse goes with your parents." Tae said with a shrug. "I just don't want to see you moping about when they yell at you again, because you barely even tried."
Alexithymiaa: "I tried!" He shot back defensively, feeling a little ganged up on between the two of them. "What, are there other competitions going on or something?" // Adam furrowed his brows as he stared at Noah in complete disbelief of his work ethic. "No... but you can apply for a job...."-
Covet: Tae pointed to Adam, "Yep. Good Old fashioned american work." She said as if she didn't have a job nearly as a stripper.
Alexithymiaa: (THATS STILL A JOB)
Alexithymiaa: "A job? Like where I need to go to some stupid store and stock shelves and pretend to be nice to stupid people?" He asked harshly like he didnt just shit on Adam's job. // "Well the point of going to school is so you can eventually be qualified to hold a job you enjoy, but until then... I guess so." No sympathy for that asshole comment, Noah.-
CovetCovet : "Mhhm. And a job is the only thing that's going to keep your parents from harping on you and harshing your stay here in Portland" Tae added in.
Alexithymiaa: -He let out an overdramatic sigh, falling back onto the couch with a big huff. "A job is going to harsh my stay here in Portland in itself though. I don't want to be a stupid cashier or a bus boy or something like that." // "There's nothing wrong with those jobs, but that doesnt mean there aren't others in the area that might be better suited for you."-
Covet: "You are such a whiner. God forbid you have to sustain yourself like a real adult." Tae said rolling her eyes. "So then don't be those... plenty of people are happy to take those jobs, but there is a saying that goes, Beggars can't be choosers."
Alexithymiaa: "Well I'm not begging." He said matter of factly like that was an actual answer to her statement. "Is there anywhere around here I can take my board and get noticed for like a sponsorship or something?" // Adam just proceeded to rub his fingers into his forehead, completely disappointed with the words coming out of Noah's mouth. "I think you'd have better luck applying for a job like everyone else."-
Covet: "It's like you don't live in the twenty first century... Or do you just want everyone else to do it for you?" Tae asked him, because this was annoying "Why don't you look these things up online, I'm sure it'd give you plenty of information."
Alexithymiaa: "Wowwwwww, sorry I ever asked for help." He said sarcastically, digging his hand into his pocket to pull out his phone, positioning it in front of his face so he could google some things. // Adam just watched Noah before swinging his glance around to Tae, very obviously unamused. "How is work going for you, by the way?"-
Covet: "You didn't ask for help, you asked us to tell you where to go. Big difference." Tae said. " Good, I'm really glad that I spent all that time on foot going around town and putting in my application anywhere that would hire me. And I didn't even have a phone at the time to help with that. Makes you really greatful and humble to have found one so easily. Though, when you put the effort in, results are bound to happen." Tae said just kind of rubbing that in on Noah.
Alexithymiaa: -He rolled his eyes draamatically listening to Tae clearly try to make a dig at him. "Well that's great for you." He was bitter. // "That's very true. I did definitely luck out being friends with Eli and getting that in, especially because I have such an interest in the shop itself as a consumer. I'm grateful that if I have to work as much as I do to get by, that it's in a place I enjoy with people I get along well with."-
Covet: "Mhhm, same here. Plus I get to do my costume thing with the Dollhouse too. The girls and staff are great and totally understanding. It's nice to be able to have that, especially when they enjoy having your around just as much as you like being around. " Tae said, coming over to the table to steal more cheese doodles.
Alexithymiaa: "Hey wait..." Noah said, lowerin ghis phone to his lap. "Can you get me a job at the Dollhouse? I would work there." // "I'm glad you have that. I think it's important." Adam said before looking over at Noah. "What exactly would you do?"-
CovetCovet : "Yeah, I mean.. It's not like you know how to bartend, and we already have a bouncer... you're kind of missing the parts to be a dancer..." Tae said to him.
Alexithymiaa: "Who says I don't know how to bartend? I can mix drinks perfectly fine. I know a lot about alcohol." He saaid, sitting up a little straighter. // "I think you need to have some sort of license to be a bartender.. and you might need to be twenty one." He said gently, not wanting to crush Noah's hopes and dreams.-
Covet: "Okay but can you properly mix, named drinks with the right measurements and alcohol?" Tae said, then looked at Adam, " You can serve and bartend at eighteen, you just can't drink it, and you have to know what you're doing and be able to keep up with people at the bar, and the cocktail waitresses."
Alexithymiaa: "Of course I can. And even if i couldn't, I could just practice a little and I'd be fine. Come on, can you at least get me an interview or something?" // "Right, okay." Adam said with a nod, settling back into the cushions of the couch. "You're willing to actually practice and make an effort?"-
Covet: "Um.. I'm not the one who hires people. They're going to audition you at the very least so you're going to have to know what you're doing before you go in." Tae said. "I don't know how you're going to go about practicing when you don't exactly have the money to go pick up a bunch of liquor"
Alexithymiaa: "Let me worry about the practicing. Just drop my name and number to the right person and I'll do the rest." He said with a confident nod. // Adam let out a soft groan because all he could see was Noah embarrassing Tae at her place of work. "Maybe you can find some volunteers to bring their own alcohol and you can serve them here and they'll be your test subjects?"-
Covet: "Yeah no. You can come in and get an application like I had to. I'm not about to put my name and my job on the line, with your obvious lack of work ethic before even going in." Tae said, then looked at Adam, "Actually that's not a bad idea."
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah see, I could do that." He said, pointing at Adam after his remark. "Oh come on, really? They need to know I'm good so they give me a chance. You need to put in a good word for me." // "I have good ideas sometimes." Adam said with a shrug, shfiting his book in his lap.-
Covet: "Your skills should speak for you. Not me. Nobody held my hand. I was honest with them and told them I am willing to learn more. That was enough for me." Tae said. " I think I've been rather helpful in this situation for you, I'm not doing it for you."
Alexithymiaa: "But they're not even going to consider me over someone else to call me for an audition or an interview or whatever since I dont have any experience." He was whining at this point. // Adam ran his hand back through his hair, glancing at Tae because he was curious how this was playing out.-
Covet: Tae rolled her eyes. "You don't know that. I'm not going to get their hopes up when you're probably going to half ass this anyways. Then that looks bad on me. And since I already have a job there, I'm not going to risk jeopardizing that, just because you want another hand out."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not asking for a haand out and I'm not going to half ass it." He was raising his voice a little now, feeling attacked. "That's a really shitty thing to say, especially considering I'm not asking you to get me the job, just the opportunity to prove myself. But fuck me, right?" He asked, shoving up from the couch and looking at her all angry. "It's fine. I'll just be moneyless and stuck in this house and poor." Throwing up his hands he turned and stormed out of the room, slamming his bedroom door closed behind him. // Adam just sat and watched this unfold, slowly turning to look at Tae. "I understand where you're coming from, and I don't disagree with you. He'll come around and see that eventually."-
Covet: "Well if he doesn't it's his loss. I don't feel sorry for him, because it took me what? A week of walking around Portland, to get a job, a phone and set up for school. And I didn't have anyone to show me anything. I just asked the right people." Tae said with a shrug, "Sorry if he was being so bothersome while you were trying to studdy. I should go get ready for work before I'm late. Maybe now you can atually get some studying in."
Alexithymiaa: -Adam smiled. "Exactly. He'll figure it out. He's still young. And don't worry, I enjoyed listening to this little debate. I spend so much time studying that it was a welcome distraction." He flipped his book open again, watching her. "Good luck at work this evening."-
Covet: "Thanks!" She said as she ran off to do the shower things and go to her job that gives her money. HA Noah!
