1. Seeing the utter defeat that might as well have been a curb stomp perpetrated by Rikka, Azumi's opinion of Rose did not change in the slightest. Only other things did come into play.
2.
3. Seeing her die wasn't that much of an issue, all things considered. She didn't actually mean much to her as a person, just as a friend of another person she did think was at least moderately important, Hawk Shadowflash. Not to mention of Cetea T'Zumo, one of her immediate subordinates.
4.
5. There was also the fact that in death, she would learn nothing, would not have to feel the pain of something called losing. That thing that Azumi herself had faced more than once, even before becoming an Interference. Oh, and the pain of being hit. That too, being within an inch of death for a fight that was her fault.
6.
7. She could easily go on about the idiocy of Remercyan, but it really wasn't worth the time or effort. What she was going to do next? It was worth it, and, though cruel, in no way below her.
8.
9. "Wait!" The indentured ODST ran between them, dropping to her knees with her arms wide, facing and looking up at the woman who had claimed her. "Rikka... wait. Just wait." She took a breath. "I know you can do better than killing. No, I'm not saying you're a heroine, I'm saying that I know you can be a lot more creative. Take me for instance. I know firsthand how you're as ugly as you are selfless and incapable of negotiation."
10.
11. She paused a moment. That stealth insult did not work at all, and actually gave away--
12.
13. Onwards! She blushed at what she had said, but continued to speak, not lowering her arms or moving. "Killing her makes it end. You hate her so much? Why are you killing her for her stupidity in attacking you where you are strongest? If you really want to, I swear you can do whatever you want to me when we get... home." She took a little time to get used to calling it that, still. "Put me in any outfit, make me do anything, make me say anything, hurt me, anything you want as long as it doesn't break what we said. Just let me talk to her, and I'll give her to a healing mage here in some form and let her go back to action. If she's alive she can try to forestall any later issues with fighting you, right? Best to have a spokesperson, and I'm not allowed to give anything away."
14.
15. Yes, she was playing off of her arrogance. It was the only thing she knew she could use, that and herself. "Tell me what to swear on and I will. Just spare her. You spared me, so I know you are better than just killing anyone in your path. How else will you get your reputation well handled than to avoid murder?"
16.
17. One last pause, and more swallowing her pride. "What do you say... my Lady?"
