  2. My Movie streaming website got hit 2 days ago by google update and i got a big drop of traffic.

  14. My main keyword dropped from 2nd-3rd position on the first page to page 6 and another keyword that i was ranked 1st dropped to the end of the first page (position #8-#9).
  15. What should i do in this case?
  16. I`ve seen as well changes but a fairly new website, which are positive ones.
  17. When you get hit by Google, hit back! Movie streaming sites will always rank! Or at least something has to come up when people search for free movie streaming services. Build more back links and get your rank back!

  111. This is the single most retarded thing I’ve ever read on BHW. Google is not recording metrics from your social pages.

  113. Now if it’s a local business and you stream in reviews on your site that’s a different story. But for a movie streaming website Google is not ranking based on “social retention”.

  117. “Behavior” is a metric that Google can easily record as Chrome browser has majority market share. And I agree it’s a big part of post-Medic updates / algorithm.

  122. Buy 1K+ Social Signals. 10-20 HQ PBN's And Some Diversity Links. And Some Diversity No Follow Links. Then you should get right back if not even better than before.
  123. Likely wasn't due to an update but due to a penalty, they are 2 different things.
  124. Penalty. Probably algorithmic if you got no mail. This can happen any time, no need for a google update. My own rankings are jumping around for months already.

  126. If you want to try to revive and keep it for long term:
  127. Time to clear up your backlink profile, might take some months until you rank again.

  129. If you want to revive it now and afterwards loose it forever:
  130. Blast it with backlinks.

  132. Anyways, be prepared that it will never rank like before again in a looong time. And you don't need to hurry, at this point there is nothing you can do in short term, they got you.

After reading your posts I think you must be new to SEO. 20k traffic is a lot, you probably were just lucky that you ranked long for such competitive keywords, sometimes google just does not comprehensible things. If you bought backlinks here on blackhatworld(or anywere) to achieve this, now you may pay the price for it.

  140. There are public case studies on this which say that google does to some extend in some way. I read one where twitter tweets of popular twitter pages increased ranking pretty fast, especially in short term. Unbelievable how you can be so convinced about your statements in such a complex topic like seo.

  142. It's 2020, Google probably uses EVERYTHING what it can somehow get, to calculate the rankings.
  143. Check your backlink profile. If you don't have the proper Seo know-how, make sure that you aren't and didn't haggled away your hustle in order to rank. Why? Simple, settling on cheap ones often gets low quality.
  144. My site was on page 3. But on Jan 16, I found it on page 8. Then I have stopped working on backlink. I just wait few days. Today I am seeing it on page 3 back. Though the last listing position. Be patient. Hope your site will be back again.
