  10. No
  11. That isnt
  12. Its one of my clients!
  13. He wanted to know the price of both the account and the individual characters.
  14.

  16. There are 4 remaining characters listed, I sold a gladiator warrior from mop and a glad war from cata this year. I have had erratic offers from 250 to 500. I do not know how to price these things, only that over the years I've found it easy to get 250-350 for each listing, depending on market, which is obviously dead the last couple months.

  19. Well I have a buyer thats cash ready. Im not sure what characters he wanted specifically off the account.
  20. I believe the Priest and the Monk
  21. Could you give me your asking for the whole account?
  22. If you were to sell it.
  23. Then also the Prideful glad Monk and the Shadow Priest.
  24. And also
  25. The Warrior with MoP CM

  28. I have never sold a full account and have no idea how to price it, most people who do, do not realize characters have value specific to buyers interest's. I sold a similar warrior a couple months ago for 350, I sold a mop glad shaman for 500, and multiple BFA glads for ~300. That would put the account at 950-1150 which is unlikely. And speaking to a middle man conflates buyer's interest with buyer's expectations, etc. I do not have clean answers like you seek, if I did I would simply sell to some vendor for X amount and let them deal with it, this is a hobby, if these sell cool, if it takes 6 months, cool, I'm not in a rush.

  31. I think the Warrior is the main interest for my buyer. With that being said I have been requested by the buyer to be his advocate and to reach out to you.
  32. My buyer has informed me what his intentions and wants are so I am acting on his behalf.
  33. I think $350 is a bit much for the warrior IMO but let me talk with the buyer a bit and see what hes thinking.

  36. This is where it's contrived, you should already know what the person's budget is and how much you are going to make for middlemanning, this is nothing like a typical interaction. I am busy irl, so I respect that you do this online for a fee, I'm sure you're trustworthy and decent at it. With all due respect, I am not going to spend a shitload of my time talking to a middleman whose main focus is to make money for negotiating sales of characters.
  37.
  38. The characters are there, they all exist, they would all require a transfer to a new cd-key. That is inherited cost. Plus you have a fee, more inherited cost. By the end of "negotiation" I get $225, or whatever the price is, I lose 85 on the transfer and you make $100. RNG number at the end there, but it's why middle manning is toxic to RMT imo.
  39.
  40. 2:21 PM
  41. My fee hasn't even been discussed.
  42. Im not making a fee based on the price I get from you.
  43. He is asking me to negotiate the price.
  44. It not something I am going to take and upcharge.
  45. The buyer is going to pay me whats fair. I am acting as the buyer in this scenario
  46.
  47. Jimmy™, 2:22 PM
  48. The idea of middle manning is antithetical to the entire process, in my opinion. You are the only middle man I have ever even replied to in 10 years simply because you have been on the site forever.
  49.
  50. 2:23 PM
  51. Im not necessarily even being a middleman.
  52. Im being a consumer advocate
  53. And the consumer is going to pay me a fee they find fair completely unrelated to the sale of the account.
  54. The inherited costs you are talking about are already clearly understood.
  55. My fee has no effect on the efficacy of a legitimate and profitable offer for you.
  56. My negotiation for the price of the character is something I would do myself if I was buying it as well.
  57. If you don't want to negotiate on price then just stick a price on the character on the thread and don't take any price unless its that.
  58. Literally all I have asked from you is to give me your price.
  59. And when you did said that I think its a bit overpriced in my own opinion.
  60. My buyer agreed with me that at $350 for the Warrior and $950-1150 for the account he isn't interested.
  61. If you want to negotiate on price for a sale for the warrior let me know happy to find an amicable price. I do however think that if you don't post a price for the characters this is something you should expect.
  62.
  63. Jimmy™, 2:33 PM
  64. I don't really have enough spare time to have long conversations over $100 in regards to a game, I also think that, when considering a reputable seller who is spending $85 on the transfer, $265 is not extraordinary for a character with achievements that are sought after and will never exist again.
  65. There are plenty of offers on epic, similar to that warrior, except up to date where buyers are asking for $500+ because the character has "challenge modes, mage towers, and some shit from this xpac"
  66.
  67. 2:34 PM
  68. If you are including all of the cost of a new account into that offer than yes.
  69. I think thats a fair offer.
  70. Im sorry I misunderstood. I was speaking about the price of the character itself not including the new account game time and xfer.
  71. Let me convey that to the buyer and see what he thinks. We were going to counter with $250 for the character itself so it does line up.
  72. 2:45 PM
  73. Nevermind the buyer isn't interested anymore given the way the conversation has gone. Best of luck with the sale sorry we couldn't come to an agreement.
  74.
  75. Jimmy™, 2:48 PM
  76. Lol
  77.
  78. Enjoy
