  1. [21:06:59] Back at it again they were!
  2.
  3. Hendrix having dragged Clementine down back into his forge so that they may finish the spear they had set out to create prior. "Hurry Clemenmine- I've put it off for too long already!" Exclaiming as his pulls her along with strength too considerable to be that of a child's. Caught up in his excitement the mana flowing, and proportionately increasing his reserves.
  4.
  5. In his other hand lies the hammer, the small steel object swaying about freely in his grasp as Atticus moves to unveil the partially finished piece of ebony wood spear. With it's head complete, the only part done so far, the Este comes to a stop at the "neck" of his creation now; discerning eye over looking what should be done next, cautious of how he should approach this.
  6.
  7. "Right here, Clem." Pointing to a seemingly random spot on the wood, he addresses the Fawnling. - " I want you to accelerate the growth of a root right here for me, and if you could- make it a thick one, please." Turning to her, those violets looking up at the girl with a smile plastered all over his face now.
  8.
  9. "Thank you again too, for your help, Clemenmine."
  10. (Hendrix Este)
  11. [21:18:04] Blinking, the young girl finds herself once more dragged along to the basement of the boy's workshop. The spear again, huh? Shrugging, she deems it a good time investment in the least. Maybe she could ask him to make her something later, since she was helping! Though, the Statera was not one to do such things. No…She would just go and make her won things-But…Maybe with the new skills she wanted to learn, she could do such…
  12.
  13. Masks were going to be a big investment soon enough!
  14.
  15. Listening to the boy talk, the fawn would nod. She had a brief idea of what he wanted, but was not altogether sure. Of course, he was going to ultimately shape this thing, not her! Nodding to the boy, hands pressed to the wooden piece; the nature magi was going to do her stuff! Closing her deep, brown eyes, she takes a deep breath and moves her hands as a bud pokes through the side, slowly pushing out to form a thin branch. Slowly, the branch grew longer and longer, the thickness growing as the length increases until-Oh wow!
  16.
  17. Now the vine was longer than the piece of wood!
  18.
  19. "Err…L-Like this, Hendrix…?"
  20.
  21. (Clementine Statera)
  22. [21:32:35] The vine extends- sprouting out in a long streaming, the thickness of it increasing as the seconds pass. As it finally stops, coming out to be longer than the length of the spear as it presently stood he gives a nod -- reaching for the piece of branch now he with his free hand, decides it prudent to once more baptize it in the incinerating heat of his own magic while allowing proper shielding to conflict with the damage it would cause to flesh.
  23.
  24. Gripping it he brings it closer to the head of the spear, where it sprouted from, taking it in long clumps while it remains lax, and easily moldable. "We'll root it in place now." The hammer was left at the edge of the Anvil as he spoke to the Fawn - setting to work himself, he lifts the spear upward! A feat requiring immeasurable strength, considering most of it was still a chunk of unmolded log waiting to be chopped, and carved up by the two little junior smiths!
  25.
  26. After this, he wraps it around once, preparing a spiral as he descends slowly, all the while carefully edging out space for the next loop down the long line. "Root it now, Clem!" His heated hand pressed to it as he had done with the head -- heat generated, what he asked now that was different prior was that from the inside of the ebony wood itself, he wished for Clementine to create a whole new eco systems so that it may naturally bind itself in place over time as well through his make-shift cauterizing of the piece of weaponry.
  27. (Hendrix Este)
  28. [21:50:30] Watching the boy work, the young Statera would just kind of…Stand there. She only moved when he asked, she only looked away when he didn't need her. Clementine was fairly compliant, following direction without much complaint…But staying down here made her antsy, made her anxiety wild. She just hoped the two of them could be finished with this soon. She did NOT like just standing here and making wood…Move, or, whatever.
  29.
  30. "..Huh?"
  31.
  32. Oh right! She was helping make a weapon! Leaning down a bit, as the girl had still grown a fair amount while gone, she would watch as the vines were twisted, the young female hooking them to the spear's body vian smaller, much sharped vine hooks. The type of thing strangling ivy used to cling to it's victims? That's what she was using.
  33.
  34. How nice.
  35.
  36. He could keep wrapping, she would keep binding and rooting the branches tightly to the spear's body. This was not…Fun for her, the mana being pushed from her hands and twisted to create wood into a weapon…It almost offended her in a way. Had it not been Hendrix? She would have not done this, not at all. Maybe she would have beaten the person a good amount too! But no…No, she didn't beat up her little friend; instead she helped him make a weapon.
  37.
  38. The things she did for friends.
  39.
  40. (Clementine Statera)
  41. [21:59:53] Wrapping, and binding...
  42.
  43. Over, and over -- this makes up the next hour or so of their task. Everyone once in a while, Atticus would appear at the call of Hendrix; handing him a some oddly shaped carving knife that for some reason, or another, was able to cut through the bark of the wooden log with minimal effort.
  44.
  45. Doing this, he made his head-way slowly. Keeping Clementine on standby, he left those spirals tightly wound around what was slowly becoming the base of the Ebony Wood spear. Giving it these rigid knots not only for the purpose of securing a unique look, but also providing one with the efficiency of a tool that could easily ''root'' itself within the body of an opponent if such was the goal.
  46.
  47. "Once more, Clem. Right here." Pulling away for a moment to wipe his brow, he lets out a sigh of relief as he points to yet another successfully carved, and wrapped section of the spear! Nearing the end of their rope now, this was the final push, and it seemed as though he was just as ready to lay this to rest as she Fawn was over the whole routine of solidfying, and repeating the process.
  48.
  49. "Almost done!"
  50. (Hendrix Este)
  51.
  52.
  53. [22:21:13] Nearly asleep, the girl is only awakened by the occational nudge of the mini black smith. Blinking, she casts her gaze upon him and blinks, what were they doing again….? Oh, right. Something with a stick. Standing up straight, having been leaning against the man servant in her sleepy stupor, the girl walks back over to Hendrix with a tired look. She had to get started on her rune work. Too many symbols to learn, all of them perfectly. How scary was THAT? And they BLEW UP if you did it wrong.
  54.
  55. This was going to be fun.
  56.
  57. " So…We're done after this last one…Right…?"
  58.
  59. Pouting a bit, the girl stands next to the boy and looks at the nearly completed weapon. IT was sad, looking at this dead wood…Reaching forwards, she gripped a small root nd hooked it around, being extra careful to tightly root and seal the wood together in a holding fashion. It would not be breaking for awhile, if EVER. No…She was good with her magic, and with typing things. She was the best! Once last wrap around with the hood would do the trick, the young fawn stepping back once more for Hendrix to do his thing.
  60.
  61. "There!"
  62.
  63. (Clementine Statera)
  64. [22:21:13] Clementine Statera: (I got two rpp today)
  65. [22:24:38] Hendrix Este: [ well. you're pretty up there in rpl now
  66. [22:28:54] Clementine Statera: (I guess)
  67. [22:37:26] As tired as Clementine, Hendrix felt himself slipping away even more -- every so often his eyes would flutter; falling into a nise little slumber, he dozed off while in the middle of heating certain secionts nearly ruining the whole piece as they went on.
  68.
  69. Thankfully, they had Atticus! The nearly always silent servant offering a grunt, and helpful nudge when seeing the youth pass off into the world of dream. "Yes... Almost done, Clem..!" He was happy- this trial would soon be over, and his first successful work would be completed. Starting his portfolio young was something he was eager to do, but the inexperience he had been painfully made aware of through the numerous breaks, and blockades along the way had opened his mind to how stressful the life of a Smith truly was.
  70.
  71. With the last piece finally entertwined, there came the task of smoothing over any edges, and belting out any pent up heat as it appeared. Reaching for his hammer, his fingers riddled with perspiration he nearly let's it slip through the floor before tightening his grip around it.
  72.
  73. "Alright.. This is it..!" The same as they had begun days before was how it was meant to end it seemed -- with the hammer raised high, and from it radiating that unusually potent heat, he strikes. The hammer hitting true; along the rigid edges, he follows the same method of peining used at the start, yet instead of allowing equal pressure on all sides, he moves to only hit bumps, knots, or whatever else was considered an impurity in his eye.
  74.
  75. All the while he pictures his Uncle's face -- whack-a-erik was the name of the game in his head, and he was a pro at it apparently! "Haaaa....! Alright!"
  76.
  77. A deep sigh relieved, his bombardment nearing it's end, and with it- he turns to Clem for one last time. "Please take a couple of steps back with Mr. Atticus for me, Clemenmine." He asks, a cheerful pitch in his tone as he smiles at her; excitement over this part was probably what had him working so fervently after all.
  78. (Hendrix Este)
  79. [22:40:00] Clementine Statera: <*She backs the fuck up*>
  80. [22:40:00] Hendrix Este: [ LOL
  81. [22:54:30] Dropping his hammer, he lets it fall to the floor- a loud clang that echoes through the halls before dying out. Taking a few steps back the same asher, the boy prepares himself with a few deep breaths..
  82.
  83. Both arms are extended out infront of him, perfectly parallel with one another he begins to channel mana through them; coursing down into the center of palms, from there it spreads to each individual digit present on his that hand.
  84.
  85. Flames begin to sprout along them, the fire a dim orange. Starting as one on each one, it turns into two, and from there it doiubles to four, until finally reaching five; five sparks residing they swirl in a violent torrent of condensed energy as Hendrix prepares to give the spear it's last bath in the radiant pyre that he thought to summon forth now.
  86.
  87. Maintaining it wasn't easy, causing him to forgo any other form of magic- his earthen shell cracking, and falling to the floor as a result, the adrenaline effect of mana doping him up, and allowing for his brutish strength begins to be sapped by the blaze.
  88.
  89. In return, each grows -- forming two separate spheres of magnificent light that threaten to not only illuminate, but burn the entire space down if not placed under heavy ward! "Atticus." The servant called, his task known, and with a strained moan he grabs the ebony wood spear from off the anvil table, and bears it before the tinier figure of the boy.
  90.
  91. Kneeling there now, it looked as though Hendrix might have been knighting him, or alternatively attempting to turn him into cinders.
  92.
  93. With the utmost care, the boy presses himself close to the spear; maintaining the heat around each miniature sphere of flame, he presses one to it's surface at first. The result being... An immediate coating of fire around the spear, shaping itself to match the spear's length and width.
  94.
  95. This was to provide a costant flow of heat, it hangs only a few meters from the wood in truth so as not to damage it, or cause a crumbling.
  96.
  97. As for the second orb...
  98.
  99. Released not, the boy breaking out in a sweat as his arm begins to shake, it soon spreading to his entire body. This orb's shape also shifts, turning into what looked like a serpent -- it coils around the first, rotating constantly, the heat it offers shared equally on all sides of the spear at all times.
  100.
  101. A spit roast made of flames! A radical, and ultimately stupid idea; Hendrix falling to his knees as a result while Atticus comically blows at his hands as he tries to handle the heated armament, rushing to the table in a rush to replace it once more.
  102.
  103. "Auuuaaagh..." Came the grown as his eyes are shut tight, and he kind of... kneels there.
  104. (Hendrix Este)
