[20:49]Setoh Aliapoh grinned at the woman. "Nothing ever is", he agreed. He turned to Kailia. "Meeting, Niblet?"
[20:50]Kailia Mewrilah: Someone told Matron that Venus was giving poisons to people, including Teri. Matron had Kailia question Venus, and collect any poisons from other kits. No poisons though were given out.
[20:51]Venus Greyrider blinks to Kailia. "There is too many things going on..." she murmurs before looking to Setoh. "I don't think I told you darling but... well Kailia just said it all."
[20:51]Setoh Aliapoh glanced at Venus, the turned back to Kailia. "There's some strange things being said around here", he said cryptically. "Some interesting focuses of attention."
[20:52]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia can only conclude, someone lied on Venus. What other interesting things being said?
[20:53]Setoh Aliapoh: "Oh, all *sorts* of things", he said with a smirk. "And that's a problem, don't you think?"
[20:53]Venus Greyrider frowns slightly. She didn't like that it seems like someone was trying to frame her. Her tail wraps around Setoh's leg slowly.
[20:54]Kailia Mewrilah: Someone lying on Venus is problem. Kailia when matron return, will be telling Matron that Venus innocent. Even show her copy of Venus's logs.
[20:55]Setoh Aliapoh: "And that's close the issue, will it, Niblet?"
[20:56]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia not sure. Issue still be, someone lied on Venus. Liars need to be given talking to yes?
[20:57]Setoh Aliapoh: "Why?"
[20:57]Kailia Mewrilah: Because lying is bad, it is untruth, and it hurt sister Venus.
[20:58]Setoh Aliapoh shook his head, a half-smile on his lips. "No", he said. "I meant - why is someone lying? If you talk to them, all you do is let them know that *you* know they're lying. But you don't know *why*..."
[20:58]Kailia Mewrilah: Oh... Kailia would not talk to them. Kailia think Matron would.
[21:00]Setoh Aliapoh shrugged, smirking at the girl. "Well, if you think that's the best way to handle that..."
[21:01]Kailia Mewrilah: Well not Kailia place to question liars.
[21:01]Kailia Mewrilah: She is to only be clan priestess one day.
[21:01]Kailia Mewrilah beams with delight at you.
[21:01]Setoh Aliapoh laced his fingers in Venus' hand. "But it's your place to protect the clan", he said.
[21:02]Venus Greyrider leans onto Setoh, her fingers lacing within his in return. "It will depend on if Matron believes me, or cares enough to deal with the issues."
[21:02]Kailia Mewrilah: Venus is part of clan. Wouldn't telling clan matriarch be protecting clan?
[21:03]Setoh Aliapoh shrugged. "I wouldn't be able to tell you the answer to that", he said. "There's too much going on that escapes my eye. But it *does* seem things aren't what they seem..."
[21:03]Kailia Mewrilah: Brother know something Kailia don't?
[21:04]Setoh Aliapoh: "Brother doesn't", he replied. "And that *bothers* brother..."
[21:05]Kailia Mewrilah: Well... Kailia only knows what happened between Teri and Nhagi, and then supposedly someone told Matron that Venus gave Teri poison to use against Nhagi.
[21:05]Setoh Aliapoh: "And you don't think this has to do with Nhagi attacking Teri?"
[21:06]Kailia Mewrilah: From what Kailia heard. Teri was flirting with Nhagi, and he decided to play back, by putting his hands on wall and asked her if she wanted to play adult game. Then Teri yelled for help.
[21:07]Kailia Mewrilah: That was story Matron got.
[21:07]Setoh Aliapoh: "The story Teri told?"
[21:07]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia not been able to talk to Teri in a while.
[21:07]Kailia Mewrilah: So have not gotten her side yet.
[21:08]Setoh Aliapoh: "Teri's been scared to come here", he said. "She hid out with the Shroudwolves without contacting anyone until last night. Telling, don't you think?"
[21:09]Kailia Mewrilah: Hmm.. Kailia will need to speak to her then. Kailia not make judgement until she hear both sides.
[21:09]Setoh Aliapoh: "How straightforward of you", he purred.
[21:09]Venus Greyrider nods along with Setoh's words, her hand giving Setoh's hand a small squeeze.
[21:10]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia learned that lesson. Hear both sides. Then decide if should get involved and pick side or not.
[21:11]Kailia Mewrilah: And... Kailia assumed Teri had not come back because Matron ordered Teri not allowed at morbolvine manor, unless accompanied by senior shroudwolf.
[21:12]Setoh Aliapoh: "And Matron shuts herself up with Nhagi for secret meetings", he said. "Which makes Teri's banishment *very* interesting, don't you think? Well, the truth will out, right?"
[21:13]Kailia Mewrilah: Maybe. All Kailia knows... she thinks Mholi mad at her for listening to Matron.
[21:14]Kailia Mewrilah: But Sanja tell Kailia, Miah is Matriarch. Kailia must listen to matriarch no matter what.
[21:14]Setoh Aliapoh: "Why wouldn't Mholi be mad", he said. "She's been betrayed by you all."
[21:15]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia apologized twice now to her. She acted like things were okay on second apology. But now she hardly speak to Kailia again.
[21:16]Kailia Mewrilah: All she wants is all kits to meet in her chambers this weekend.
[21:16]Setoh Aliapoh: "She's lost pretty much everything she had", he said. "I'm honestly surprised she's even still here."
[21:16]Venus Greyrider blinks. "Meet in her chambers this weekend?"
[21:16]Kailia Mewrilah: Venus is learning to be keeper... but not sure if she considered kit. Maybe Venus should be there too?
[21:18]Venus Greyrider gives a slight shrug. "I am not sure what I really am within this clan yet. All I know is that I'm learning to be a keeper and a Huntress." she murmurs.
[21:18]Setoh Aliapoh smiled, squeezing Venus' hand.
[21:19]Kailia Mewrilah: All Kailia knows... she getting tired of apologizing. Kailia has no choice but to listen to Matriarch, but that also makes Mholi mad. Kailia not sure what else she can do. She tired of polaali power struggle.
[21:20]Setoh Aliapoh: "Well, let me ask you this", he said, leaning over the couch and grinning conspiratorially at Kailia. "Why is Miah the Matron?"
[21:20]Venus Greyrider smiles slightly and her hand squeezes back, her cool green eyes looking to Kailia for her answer.
[21:21]Kailia Mewrilah: She told Kailia that she rebuilt clan after calamity. That her mother was last matriarch. So she has title now.
[21:22]Setoh Aliapoh: "Nope", he said simply.
[21:22]Kailia Mewrilah tilted her head.
[21:23]Setoh Aliapoh repeated his question. "Why is Miah the Matron?"
[21:26]Kailia Mewrilah: Because she is strong?
[21:27]Setoh Aliapoh: "Nope", he said, shaking his head.
[21:27]Kailia Mewrilah: Then why?
[21:27]Setoh Aliapoh: "Because the clan *agrees* that she's the Matron", he said.
[21:27]Setoh Aliapoh: "Do you understand?"
[21:27]Kailia Mewrilah: Yes
[21:29]Setoh Aliapoh: "Good" he said, nodding. "Then you understand Mholi's anger."
[21:29]Kailia Mewrilah gazes upon you in deep reflection.
[21:30]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia though thinks Miah and Mholi's plans for clan is same.
[21:30]Setoh Aliapoh: "Miah doesn't think that", he said. "Otherwise she wouldn't have stripped Mholi."
[21:31]Kailia Mewrilah: And Miah made good point about the whole if her daughter's clan was wiped out and she joined another clan, she would not want her daughter upon joining, to be groped, fondled, and finger banged by the matriarch soon after.
[21:32]Setoh Aliapoh: "Well, why not?" He shrugged at her. "Mholi wasn't *forcing* herself on anyone. Was it wrong for you to be groped, fondled, and *actually* banged by Hawk?"
[21:33]Kailia Mewrilah: When Eloise was brought in wounded by Winter and Summer, they asked clan for help. But they got no help. Mholi and new kits were too busy doing mating stuff to come help.
[21:34]Setoh Aliapoh: "And when Teri was attacked and frightened so much that she fled the clan house - this place which is supposed to be *safe* for us and our friends - Miah responded by banishing her."
[21:35]Setoh Aliapoh: "It doesn't go both ways. Either non-clan members don't matter, or they do."
[21:35]Kailia Mewrilah gazes upon you in deep reflection.
[21:35]Setoh Aliapoh: "But the way you speak of it. The way you condemn Mholi with your words, Niblet. Are your apologies to her even sincere?"
[21:36]Venus Greyrider: "Not to mention letting prisoners free after they've been locked up." she adds, frowning slightly.
[21:36]Kailia Mewrilah: No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. Mholi and Miah no exceptions. Kailia admits she even made mistakes.
[21:37]Setoh Aliapoh: "That's not what I mean, Niblet."
[21:38]Setoh Aliapoh: "You've already judged Mholi in the wrong. You've condemned her for the things she's done. It's clear to me just from listening to you. Now, Mholi's no fool. If I can see it, then she can, too."
[21:38]Setoh Aliapoh grinned wickedly. "So *why* should she accept your apology?"
[21:39]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia apology is sincere though. Kailia wants to spend time with Mholi. Mholi adopted Kailia thinks of her as a mother. Kailia wants to help her be matron one day. But... Kailia also likes Miah. Kailia just ... what's good term...
[21:39]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia wants to have cake and eat it too.
[21:40]Setoh Aliapoh pursed his lips. "What would you do, Kailia, if Miah banned Hawk from the clan grounds?"
[21:40]Kailia Mewrilah looks at you in shock!
[21:41]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia... would be hurt... angry... sad... not know what she would do.
[21:42]Setoh Aliapoh: "Think about that the next time you see Mholi", he said. "She's hurt. She's angry. She's sad. *And* she's lost her position. She's being treated as one of the lowest in the clan, and people she cared about say condemning things about her. If you *really* want to help her, then you should *help* her."
[21:43]Kailia Mewrilah: How... can Kailia help her?
[21:44]Setoh Aliapoh: "You have Miah's ear. Do you think it's just that Mholi be stripped of her position like that? Publicly humiliated? Her mate driven away?"
[21:45]Kailia Mewrilah: So... maybe Kailia talk Miah into reinstating Mholi's position?
[21:46]Setoh Aliapoh: "Mholi needs to *deserve* the position", he said. "And she's not ready yet. She *could* be, but not if she's kept in the dog house like this. Do you *want* Mholi to be Matron someday?"
[21:46]Kailia Mewrilah nods to you.
[21:47]Setoh Aliapoh: "Then help her *deserve* to be Matron. Help her *show* Miah that she deserves the position."
[21:47]Kailia Mewrilah: Sanja said Miah right now is grooming Kailia to be her replacement if something happens to her. Kailia thinks Mholi would be better fit.
[21:47]Setoh Aliapoh: "Why?"
[21:48]Kailia Mewrilah: For all of Mholi's faults. She adopted Kailia. She loved Kailia. And Kailia learned a lot from her.
[21:48]Setoh Aliapoh: "But would she be better for the *clan*?"
[21:49]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia thinks so.
[21:50]Setoh Aliapoh: "Then cut her a little fucking slack, Niblet", he said. "She was as ready to be Matron last time as you were. But she did it anyways, because *someone* had to. Help her be *ready* to do the job again."
[21:50]Venus Greyrider reaches up to adjust her glasses that had apparently slid down her nose, quietly listening to the exchange.
[21:50]Kailia Mewrilah: Day of that meeting when Miah took away vice matriarch title. Mholi was going to challenge her to be Matriarch. Miah said such challenge is to the death. If Mholi won, Miah would be dead... and if Miah won... Mholi would be dead. Kailia not want either to die.
[21:51]Kailia Mewrilah smiles at you.
[21:51]Kailia Mewrilah: Kailia will help her become matron again then.
[21:52]Setoh Aliapoh: "Good", he said, smiling at the girl. He turned to Venus, grinning. "Want to listen to some music?"
[21:53]Kailia Mewrilah: But... with Mholi not talking to Kailia right now... how does Kailia approach Mholi to offer help?
[21:53]Venus Greyrider blinks for a moment before smiling widely. "That would be nice, darling." she says, giving his hand a squeeze.
[21:54]Setoh Aliapoh: "You've got to *deserve* Mholi's forgiveness", he said, regarding Kailia.
