Hey sis, I got the care package you sent me.  Thank you so much!  I know you're going through a lot of stuff right now and it's okay if you can't get back to me, seriously, it's alright, I 100% understand.  It's taken me 2 weeks to get around to sending off this email myself what with all the university stuff and getting everything set up in the apartment.  I just don't want you to feel like you're alone out there, I'm here for you whenever you need it.  Everything in California's been going great, I've been hanging out with my roommate Ben a lot.  We get along really well!  I think you'd like him, he listens to a lot of the same music you do.  I met this girl, too, but I'm not sure it's anything, you know?  Anyways if you wanna chat I'd love to get some advice from you about it.

I know mom and dad are hard on your ass right now, they've been calling me and asking me to try and get you to talk to them.  I know I'm not going to be able to tell you to do anything.  Just a heads up.

Hey sis.  You hate it when anybody tells you to do anything, but it's serious.  You need to call mom and dad.  They're getting really intense about you.  I think they got your grades.  Are you doing ok???  I know it's the last thing you want to here from your little brother but I really do love you.  You've always been there for me.  Through the stuff with our uncle and everything else.  I just want to be there for you when you need somebody.

I've been thinking a lot about when we ran away together, lately.  Well, when you took me with you.  It was the right thing to do then, but you can't always do that.  Just call them, it'll be okay.
