  14. Stargaze and the Sentinels of Starlight is an 80s action cartoon idea that was born from the "Let's make an 80s cartoon to sell toys, let's make a hero, add some faithful allies, and a cunning villain who swears he will win another day!" prompt. It is meant to be a marketable, enjoyable and nostalgic show and toyline that could fit along the ranks of 80s cartoon icons like Transformers, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, GI Joe, and others like them.
  15.
  16. Other than fellow shows from the 80s, the main inspirations for the Stargaze series are Terminator, Mega Man, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.
  17. The idea early on was to have the first Stargaze series to be roughly 100 episodes, 5 seasons of 20 episodes each, with each season focused on the conflict with one of Stargaze's main villains. We should remain fluid with our ideas however so we can make the story fit whatever amount of episodes we are able to get made.
  18. We hope for Stargaze to be successful enough to have multiple recurring generations like Transformers and TMNT, so ideas such as The Felicons and mech suits for the Sentinels are pitches that may not fit the first Stargaze run in the 80s, but we can revisit for later incarnations.
  19. There is also an idea that the very first incarnation of Stargaze was from even before the 80s, and it started as a more science-fiction based rip-off of Superman (this idea came about as lore for the first artwork we received of Stargaze and his sidekick and Robopuppy, that was made in a very different style from the rest of the Stargaze art and done in a more cartoonish style).

  21. List of Characters-
  22. Heroes:
  23. Star-ro Blaster/Stargaze - A tall man with muscles worthy of an action movie star, with a pure heart fighting for good. Star-ro is a warrior prince of Astray, spending his days traveling the galaxy both for enjoyment and to patrol and protect innocents everywhere. He fights using his modular Royal Blaster, powered by a shard of the mythical Light Star. He also has a personal star-fighter and an array of tech on his armor to assist him in battle. Stargaze is able to use the family's Royal Blaster for more than just shooting, he is also capable of copying powers from other warriors, friends and foe alike, after defeating them or gaining understanding of them. He was described as looking partially like Luke Skywalker and partially like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  24. Hawley Blaster/Comet - The half-sister of Stargaze, she is only half Astrayan because her mother is from a race of Cat-elves known as Baastanians from the planet Tamau. She is always sneaking along on missions with her brother when she is supposed to stay with the ship.
  25. Rock-It - A half-Rockman and half-Cyborg. He is a war veteran, hero of his people and a mentor to Stargaze.
  26. Little Nova the Robo-puppy-
  27. Ursa-la -
  28. Conshock - A powerful psychic and martial artist who seeks to help Stargaze as well as find his kidnapped daughter.
  29. Lan-star- A young friend of Star-ro from Astray, his sidekick who looks up to him. Although he is strong and capable in his own right, he views himself as the opposite of Star-ro, being weaker and less confident. He is a tech repair and scientific genius and handy in a battle.
  30. Trancia - Daughter of Conshock. At the series start she has been kidnapped and forced to work for Nebulious.
  31. Pum-mel - Daughter of Rock-It.
  32. Jet Hawk - A ninja freedom fighter from The Hive, attempting to remove Cicadre from her tyrannical rule.
  33. Hammer Hex - Was mind-controlled and used as a powerful minion by the villain Wire Shark for a time, but is saved by Stargaze and the Sentinels and then joins their crew. Has been pitched as the leader/chief of the Galactic Police force or head prison guard for what he was doing before being mind-controlled.
  34. Krogdar - A warrior who has been displaced in time. In some ways he seems to be primitive but he also has some advanced technology, such as his mechanical eyes. He is like an uncle to Comet and views her as morally pure, so he listens to just about anything she tells him to do.
  35. The Felicons - magical cat creatures who power giant mechs
  36. The Starlight Dinosaurs - Tiny ethereal dinosaurs who are pets/allies to the sentinels.
  37.
  38. Stargaze's other family:
  39. Ga-Leon/Penumbra - The King of Astray and father to Star-ro, Comet, and Redshift.
  40. Blak-Ar/Redshift - Brother of Stargaze, a sometimes rival and ally. He is also a warrior prince of Astray, so he is against villains and other evil forces even when butting heads with Stargaze.
  41. Momet - Comet's mother, a princess of Tamau.
  42. Spiral - Stargaze and Redshift's mother, the first wife of Ga-Leon before she passed.
  43. Pulsar - Grandfather of Stargaze, King of Astray before Ga-leon.
  44. Nova's future robo-puppies - Shang-Xu anon's idea that at the end of the series Robo-Puppy would grow up and get puppies of his own.
  45.
  46. Major Villains:
  47. Nebulious -
  48. Sigil - The leader of the Sigil Brigade and ally to Nebulious. He is the uncle of Comet and brother to princess Momet. Due to circumstances of his birth, he was passed over for being next in line for king/warlord of his family's claim, and that is partially why he became a villain. He sometimes teams up with Penumbra, playing as a double agent, but only when it suits his own needs. Later on in the series he will betray Penumbra and kill him.
  49. Warmaster - The Uncle of Lan-star and experienced Astrayan general who has been holding the tide of crime and violent enemies of Astray for years before Star-ro began his tours of duty. He views Star-ro as an upstart and braggart who is trying to steal credit for defending the kingdom. Due to feeling slighted and unacknowledged, he turns traitor and attempts to usurp the throne of Astray. He joins forces with Nebulious with the intent of betraying him, to destroy both Star-ro and Nebulious so he will rule the galaxy as king of Astray. While he does want to destroy other evils, he is a conniving and backstabbing bitch like Starscream from Transformers.
  50. Cicadre - The young and manipulative queen of The Hive. She controls the biological super computer of The Hive and
  51. Wire Shark - The warden AI of the prison planet who has gone rogue. The first villain who was pitched for this series when we were still working form a Terminator-inspired mindset. He has an advanced AI with dual personalities, one that is completely robitic and logical and one that is vicious and predatory. He turns prisoners into his minions with various computer-based mind control and robotic surgeries. He views the entire Galaxy as a prison that he should be in charge of, and he aims to create a perfect fighting body for himself.
  52. Secondary Villains:
  53. Hogmaw and Jaw-breaker- Two brutish barbarous buddies, a pair of friends who are only out to cause chaos, fill their monstrous bellies, and have some fun.
  54. Cee4- A robotic enforcer of the Sigil Brigade. A cruel and violent master of explosives.
  55. Warmasters (as of yet) unnamed right hand man - A powerful, giant muscular Astrayan warrior who speaks very little, not caring if others view him as stupid, because it only works in his favor to surprise them with how cunning he can be. (Shang-Xu anon has suggested he be the son of Warmaster, cousin of Lan-Star)
  56. Scorpionic - The second in command to Cicadre and hateful nemesis to Jet Hawk.
  57. Maul Fin -
  58. Charon - a vessel of death taking the form of an angsty young boy.
