The fight started before that whole cactus thread, actually. I made a brief reference to Podunkian because it was semi-referential to some other shit and he called me out on name-dropping him, and that's when we engaged each other. It escalated from there, but I was really not upset because it seemed to be a pretty good banter until corpus decided to show up out of nowhere and write a wall of text attacking me. I just found it a bit unusual considering I have never conversed with him prior to this and it just gave me the impression that he didn't get that we were 'play fighting'... And then Gilbert Timmy made the remark about the community liking Superb Joe more than me or something, which actually made me mad.

Why? Because I'm annoyed by people like Superb Joe and eva who haven't really made anything but have these manicured online personalities that they think themselves to be funny, and apparently so do a lot of you guys, judging by how many people are on their side. I don't see how I'm any different from them (except for the fact that I'm actually creative), but somehow they have fervent supporters for whatever reason. I guess if I passed myself off as a girl that talked like a cute little kid or something, it would probably appeal to someone's urge to be overly protective, too. Or in the case of Superb Joe, I guess being dry and sarcastic and critical of an entire community is really appealing to the self-hating and cynical types. I dunno, but it really says a lot about the people who defend them.

It's kind of at the point where this community seems to be overrun by a bunch of usurpers who sit around in IRC bitching about everyone else and talking shit behind backs. This clique is obvious as it is strong, and it descends upon anyone who challenges any one of its members. Funny thing is, I have eyes and ears everywhere, so nothing really gets by me. I know that the clique, inherently rotten to the core, is destined to collapse in on itself as already evidenced by some shit that's been going on lately. Knowing the kinds of people you are, it'll be funny when I actually leave because then it's only a matter of time before you start tearing each other apart once your scapegoats are gone.
