- FIGHT RP DOC/NON-MUTATION CULLINGS
- NOTICE: Moderators may tweak rules or change rulings depending on the situation. Fight roleplay/roleplay which could potentially involve death needs to be closely monitored and there are often edge cases that do not fit into existing rulesets.
- CAN MY CHARACTER USE THEIR WEAPON IN A FIGHT?
- Characters cannot use weapons that could -believably result in another character's death- without facing retribution from the drones. This means your character cannot get into a -knifefight- with another character, nor can they shoot them in the leg, or use a bat to beat their legs in. Some weapons that would be 'alright' to use in a fight include boxing gloves, a simple thin stick, a staff, your own fists or legs, nunchucks, etc. You get no bonuses for using these weapons.
- CAN CULLING IN A FIGHT BE ALLOWED UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES IC-LY + OOC-LY?
- 1. 'Self-defense':
- If you can effectively argue that you feared for your life at the hands of the other character and argue that the fight was clearly taking a lethal turn, your character will be able to cull that character, but will be detained for questioning in-universe and may face punishment.
- OOCly, this ties into the rule regarding baiting fights/'no consequence fight rp'. If your character swings at someone, they will be swung at back. If your character attempts to cull someone, they can be culled.
- 2. 'Specialty Duel':
- If both characters ICly agree to a 'Lethal Duel' and the players OOCly agree, the characters can participate in a fight which -could- potentially result in one of the character's deaths.
- Otherwise, unauthorized culling is NOT CURRENTLY ALLOWED on Verdant. If you kill someone during a fight, you will go to jail and may face culling yourself.
- DISADVANTAGE AND ADVANTAGE CHART BELOW
- HOW TO DETERMINE THE OUTCOME OF A FIGHT:
- Both parties roll a d20 and add these modifiers:
- -2 if the character has previous injuries which affect their ability to fight.
- -2 if the character is inebriated/under the influence of some sort of drug.
- -1 if the character's senses are impaired (blinded by something temporarily or permanently, deafened by a loud noise, etc.)
- -1 if the character is Yellow or below.
- +1 if the character is Purple or above.
- +1 if your character is proficient with blunt force weapons that could be damaging but not lethal, OR they are proficient in using
- fistkind/footkind/whateverkind.
- +1 if the character is a Rainbowdrinker.
- +1 if the character has SIGNIFICANT combat experience/employership and WAS NOT IN THE FLEET (cannot be combined with Fleet bonus.)
- +1 if the character is currently a Gladiactor, previously employed Offearcers, Legislacerators with a heavy focus on combat, those
- employed in the private sector as bodyguards, etc. (cannot be combined with Fleet bonus.)
- +1 if the character has useful-in-combat psionics.
- +2 if the character has been enlisted in Fleet or is currently enlisted.
- +2 if the character is currently serving in a law enforcement or combat position with the government specifically. (cannot be combined with Fleet bonus.)
- +2 if the character is a Tyrian, unaffected by mutations which impair caste strength. (Cannot combine with +1 Purple or Above bonus.)
- When defending a Throneholder Position, the Throneholder will receive a +1 to any Rolls made in Combat to defend their Title.
- This does not extend to any members of the Inner Circle.
- THESE BONUSES ARE BASED ON YOUR PROFILE STATS AS THEY ARE WHEN THE FIGHT BEGINS, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE YOUR PROFILE IN ORDER TO INCREASE YOUR COMBAT STATS. THE MODERATORS HAVE AN EDIT LOG AND ARE ABLE TO SEE THE EDITS YOU MAKE ON YOUR PROFILES. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO BOTCH YOUR STATS TO INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME OF A FIGHT YOU WILL BE WARNED AND LIKELY BANNED. DON'T DO IT.
