  1. A mimic slipped in, wounded, bleeding bright blue cyan blood. Reforming inside, this time with two arms he glanced around, water rushing over him to sustain his own force.
  2.
  3. "Ah.. Such bite those little ones have.. Very big ones yes yes." He mumbled softly, pulling his petal cloak around himself, as his yellow eyes blinked to take interest in one big brown yokai. Wow. Big.
  4.
  5. "Just what are you?" The mimic was obviously a mimic.
  6. (LanesKerlah)
  7. The beast's eyes fluttered open to reveal two scarlett pupils. Ah, Desolus had seen one of these creatures before. In fact, one recently took on his form to see what it was like. Strange little monsters the mimics were.
  8.
  9. Backing away, the yokai raised a rocky fist. "Clean yourself up. Your blood need not be on these floors. I am the yokai Desolus. Who are you and why have you come here?"
  10. (Desolus)
  11. The mimic grinned and laughed softly, wiping his blood up as his wounds sealed close. Such was simple once you can control nearly every molecule in your body.
  12.
  13. The rock fist was risen against him, and the dripping water washed away, replaced by repulsive darkness.
  14.
  15. "This one is LanesKerlah. First to copy one of your forms yes yes. Copied a yokai and followed here. Curious to see how has.. changed in few years. Curious to see.. how much power yokai holds now yes yes."
  16. (LanesKerlah)
  17. The creature tilted its head. The other mimic who copied him seemed much more intelligent, and he appeared to be human as opposed to a black mass of... Goo?
  18.
  19. "I assume you mean Eva? She's... Out right now, but I assure you she holds more power than you can imagine. I am the only yokai around here at the moment, for my servants are out within their respective cities, and the other yokai are hunting. Is there another reason why you have come here, mimic?"
  20.
  21. Desolus backed away some more, making sure the sludge ball couldn't touch him, for he had recently learned that such was their means of copying someone. A mere touch.
  22. (Desolus)
  23. Seems LanesKerlah wasn't the intelligent one, but he certainly wasn't stupid. A step forward towards the rocky tera yokai and he giggled softly.
  24.
  25. "Misunderstand. Power as whole, after all are allies, two are better than one, one mimic to copy one yokai and then strong and stronger, can tear down buildings right?"
  26.
  27. Rubbing his fingers together sparks of darkness shrouding around it. "Do allies require reasons to come here? Tell me your name if you neglect to use mine yes yes."
  28. (LanesKerlah)
  29. The rocky demon stepped backwards more as the mimic neared. Couldn't have him easing his way into a touch, now could he?
  30.
  31. "You will stay back. I know all you mimics need is a touch to copy a being, and I do not fancy having my image copied by one who is not worthy. Now, as I told you, I am Desolus. I understand you are LanesKerlah, but I will most likely still refer to you as 'mimic'. Also, I was not aware you were an ally, otherwise you would not be welcome within this citadel."
  32. (Desolus)
  33. Another step forward , the mimic was pressing his luck. "Can touch you from here." Was the simple response as the mimic giggled softly.
  34.
  35. "And well, are allies yes yes. Very much allies. Such fun to be allies." A clap of the hands together as the mimic looked over esolus once more.
  36.
  37. "Now. Question. WHAT. Are you. Look like one that throws fire or water. But not one. Too different in colours."
  38. (LanesKerlah)
  39. Once again, almost instinctively, Desolus backed away. This time, a fist was raised, rocks now swirling around it.
  40.
  41. "Well, do nottouch me. If you must know, I "throw" earth magic around, for it is the element that lead me to this stage of evolution. What is it to you?"
  42. (Desolus)
  43. A inset of a grin came across the mimic's face as he stepped even closer. "Dirt thrower, curious. What other kinds are there? Wind throwers? Lightning?"
  44.
  45. Another step, almost in touching distance now. "And how about promise not to take form, have you not.. heard of our acidic bodies? Hm? Very bad for touching, and don't wish to harm one as an ally. Very good promises yes."
  46. (LanesKerlah)
  47. The fist that was once balled up began to.. Change. Suddenly, the rocky mass he called a hand pushed itself into a sharper shape, imitating that of a blade, though it was a mere manipulation of earth magic, considering he wore a thick layer of rock at all times.
  48.
  49. "I SAID KEEP YOUR DISTANCE, MIMIC. I DO NOT TRUST YOU NOT TO TAKE MY FORM, FOR IT IS IN YOUR NATURE TO DO SO FROM WHAT YOUR KIND HAS DEMONSTRATED. MAKE SO MUCH AS A SMALL ADVANCE TOWARDS ME, AND I WILL DESTROY YOU, ALLY OR NOT. "
  50.
  51. After his little rant, Desolus eased up a bit, but still kept his stone spear-arm thingy pointed at the mimic. "Yes. I am an earth elemental."
  52. (Desolus)
  53. Shi'kael: ...
  54. The mimic looked at the earth spear thingie and gave an admiring 'oooooh' noise, his own arm copied such, a sharp birrling spear as he pointed back at the yokai.
  55.
  56. "A small advance is to gain an advantage over you." Then he stepped to the right. "Like so."
  57.
  58. By all rights he should of sunked under the water, but his body and the limited power he had over water magic fixed it, he was being jesus right now. The mimic kept his arm spear at Desolus. "One like you would sink if try to follow me onto this right?"
  59. (LanesKerlah)
  60. From the depths of the Citadel, a horribly familiar sight emerged. A monstrous, towering Giga Yokai, it's claws slowly scraping against the clean stone floor. Mottled red hide covered the beast from head to toe, scaling over it's form like scales and plates. It's glinting red eyes focused solely on the Mimic's floating form.
  61.
  62. Lesser beings scattered in fear and recognition of the olden hunter, the room quickly clearing of any lower yokai, as it stood at the edge of the pond. "Is.. Is this abomination bothering you, Kin? He should not be in here, floating in this pool.." The words came on a psychic wave, harmlessly meshing in with Desolus's thoughts, and crashing painfully against Lanes's mental barriers. Such was the communication of Yokais.
  63.
  64.
  65. (Shi'kael)
  66. The rocky spear was lowered upon the sight of the mimic floating atop the surface of the water. Seems he got the point.
  67.
  68. "Indeed.. But I do not wish to follow you. I much prefer that you keep your distance, mimic." Desolus would've said something more, but a telepathic message interrupted him. Sadly, the yokai's own telepathic powers seemed to have been temporarily lost in this state, so any messages would be delivered by means of his deep, raspy, demonic voice.
  69.
  70. "Indeed. He claims to be an ally, but he is quite unintelligent, and has done nothing but irritate me. "
  71. (Desolus)
  72. A look over at the giga yokai caused the mimic to giggle even more. "Ah. Distances, not all like you enjoy all like their distance."
  73.
  74. His gaze looked towards the earthen one. "Not unintelligent have you know. Merely wish not to show it. Irritating you is fun, gives me.. name of feeling.. Ah happiness. Yes. Hurting toying, causes great happiness."
  75.
  76. Shi'kael was then scurtinised as the mimic kept the repulsive darkness around himself. "Very big ones you are yes yes. Start of small yes."
  77. (LanesKerlah)
  78. Shi'kael's eye twitched.
  79.
  80. It paid only a measure of attention towards Desolus, a wordless telepathic message being sent to convey acknowledgement-- and unhappiness. It's horribly barbed claws clicked together in impatience - just why was this disgusting slimeball allowed to continue existing? It must be an oversight. It had to be. The thing was using their magic, insulting them in their own territory. No sane yokai could allow this.
  81.
  82. With a sneer that could be very easily described as "enraged", Shi'kael stepped forwards into the pool, it's massive clawed feet cresting waves that sloshed over the rim. Darkness seethed from the monster's hide, it's eyes radiating malevolence and killing intent..
  83.
  84. "Very big, yes. You're not very big, though. You should respect... those who are, yes?"
  85. (Shi'kael)
  86. The mimic stepped back as the giga went into the water, walking on it was so much quicker than walking through it.
  87.
  88. "Realise something. Ally." The mimic said as he slowed down considerably. His hands stretched out and the water around the giga yokai began to move, shifting twisting.
  89.
  90. The mimic began to grin. "Which is why.. only holding while in water." Around Shi'kael the water grew tighter, flowing over him.
  91.
  92. "Liquid Dark: Water Confinement"
  93. (LanesKerlah)
  94. You manage to compose yourself and get up.
  95. Darkness raged between the two, horrible coils and whips of corruption sparking off of the monster's thick flesh, as seething waves of energy lambasted Lanes's form, as the mimic skittered around and around the citadel's room. Blazing spurts and sputters of fire accompanied the giga's attacks, his elemental form close to reaching it's prime.
  96.
  97. It was a long, drawn out fight-- the creature's reserves of magical energy extremely low, but eventually Lanes fell to the ground - the mimic's oozing form slumping in clear defeat. Shi'kael was victorious, and the fate of Lanes was in the horrible giga's clawed hands.
  98.
  99. He stepped forwards, his foot raised over Lanes's acidic form. A final telepathic message would be sent, before the heavy, massive foot slammed into Lane's form.
  100.
  101. "Small ones should learn when not to pick fights. Ally."
  102. (Shi'kael)
