Zeke- Hm... You are...
Conrad- The Masked Knight. I've heard much about you, Sir Ezekiel of Rigel.
Zeke- Likewise. Tales of your exploits have reached even as far as Rigel.
Conrad- All the way to Rigel? Really?
Zeke- Yes. Many hail you as an otherworldly hero, appearing in the most dire of moments, only to disappear once your work is complete.
Conrad- Wow... I didn't know my good deeds would have such a lasting impact.
Zeke- Sometimes, our actions have unforseeable consequences. You saved a handful of lives and stopped another handful of brigands, and now you're a living legend.
Conrad- That wasn't my goal, really. In fact, my very existence was supposed to be a secret. I was just doing what I thought was right.
Zeke- There's nothing wrong with that. But you have to be ready to accept what happens when you act on your platitudes. Otherwise, you'll end up in the same boat as I am...
Conrad- The same boat as you? I beg your pardon?
Zeke- ...It's nothing. Please forgive me, we should probably return our focus to the battle.
Conrad. Y-yes, of course.

Conrad- Sir Ezekiel.
Zeke- Just Zeke is fine.
Conrad- Zeke. I want to know what you meant the other day when you said that I'd 'end up in the same boat as you.'
Zeke- I... Cannot disclose that information. There is someone close to me who I do not wish to hurt. In telling you what it means, I risk opening a can of worms that would ruin everything I've strived to create for myself in Valentia.
Conrad- I take it that the matter is touching for you.
Zeke- Not necessarily. But I can't run the risk of word getting around. If I were to tell you, then there's a chance that you could tell others. No matter how unlikely it may be, I cannot afford to take any risks.
Conrad- I understand. If anyone were to discover who I was behind this mask, my friends and I would be in grave danger, and I would have to disappear in order to protect them.
Zeke- It's nothing like that. I merely wish to refrain from hurting those who I hold near and dear to my heart. I wouldn't wish my woes upon them any day. I am happy, those around me are happy, and I'd prefer it to stay that way.
Conrad- As do I.

Zeke- Masked Knight.
Conrad- Yes?
Zeke- I have a request for you.
Conrad- Shoot.
Zeke- After the fighting has subsided in Valentia, I'd like to borrow your mask.
Conrad- My mask? What for?
Zeke- What I am about to tell you must remain a secret between you and I. Do I have your word.
Conrad- I swear it on my honor as a knight.
Zeke- Good. When all is said and done, I must travel to Archanea. I have business there. However, I do not wish to be recognized by anybody, nor do I wish to stay for too long.
Conrad- If you don't mind me asking, what business do you have in Archanea?
Zeke- I have... Somebody who needs my help there... I feel my memories coming back day by day now, but I cannot tell a soul. It would break my beloved Tatiana's heart to discover the life that I once led, and I will not put that pain on her.
Conrad- It must be hard to lie to somebody that you love like that. I know the feeling all too well... But it got to a point where I could lie no longer, and had to tell her the truth to prevent her from making a terrible mistake. How can you be certain that your lie will not lead to further sorrow on her part?
Zeke- I don't... It's a risk that I'm going to have to take. If I fail, I will accept the outcome, no matter how harsh it may be. Although I don't see myself failing my mission.
Conrad- You have better resolve than me, sire. When the time comes, you need only call for me, and the mask is yours.
Zeke- Thank you. I have one last request.
Conrad- Yes?
Zeke- If I do not return in a years time after I depart for Archanea, I need you to tell my beloved Tatiana my old name.
Conrad- Your... Old name?
Zeke- My old name: it's Camus. Camus the Sable.
Conrad- You...! You're-
Zeke- I WAS him. That life is behind me now. Here and now, I am General Ezekiel of Rigel, in service to Commander Alm of the Deliverance. This is the life that I have chosen.
Conrad- Then why return to Archanea?
Zeke-...An old friend of mine is waiting for me to come and save her...
Conrad-...
Zeke- I'll be going now, masked knight.
Conrad- Conrad.
Zeke- Come again?
Conrad- It's Conrad. My name, that is. It'll be our secret.
Zeke- Conrad... Thank you.
