- TWW OPEN WORLD will be a mod of English TWW to allow players to access any area (given that they have the items required to get there in the first place) without any complications of softlocking, crashes, having certain items be unobtainable, or making your game incompletable. The game itself will be streamlined with cutscene skips and faster animations, but other than that it will have no other physical modifications. It can be played as a purely vanilla experience if you'd like to.
- Physical changes:
- - Long cutscene skips
- - Fast dialog
- - Sailing is at swift sail speed
- - conducting faster (or similar to HD)
- - grappling chests faster
- Logic changes:
- - No animation set crashes
- - Medli spawns after learning EGL (this means ET will be accessible at any point)
- - During the post dungeon cutscene:
- - modify item text to say "The Sage's prayers have powered up the Master Sword!"
- - add logic to overwrite the existing sword upgrade code to increment the sword dyncamically
- - Makar spawns after learning WGA (this means WT will be accessible at any point)
- - Aryll will remain at the lookout until you watch the Helmaroc cutscene
- - Forest of Faries will not have Tetra to save until you watch the telescope cutscene
- - Pirate ship 1 no longer triggered by gossip stone, will always be ship 1 until you get the spoils bag
- - Sword game with Orca/Knight's crest quest will be triggered by completing sword training
- - Mother and Child Isles will give you Fire and Ice arrows at any time you visit
- - Hyrule will have major modifications to keep your file completeable
- - Ring the TotGs bell as many times as you want to return to Hyrule
- - Master sword can be pulled at any time
- - Hyrule 2 cutscenes (not required to beat the game) will play after visiting FF2
- - you can enter Helmaroc/Ganodorf's hideout as many times as you want, but Dorf's hideout will send you to Windfall instead
- - Portal will remain open after watching Tetra -> Zelda
- - Requirements to break the barrier:
- - pull the Master Sword from the pedestal
- - upgraded the Master Sword to fully charged
- - obtained all 8 triforce shards
- - defeat the mighty darknuts after obtaining the triforce
- - After beating the Earth Temple and beating the Wind Temple:
- - modify item text to say "The Sage's prayers have powered up the Master Sword!"
- - add logic to overwrite the existing sword upgrade code to increment the sword instead of hard coding
- - hero's sword -> master sword (uncharged) -> master sword (half charged) -> master sword (fully charged)
