1. (subjet: [RADIO] First Emergency Broadcast)
2.
3. [The sound in Lois's voice is fierce, partially against the sounds of panic and distant attacks.]
4.
5. Our enemy has finally played his hand. Cutting communication and supplies is always a good first step in a shooting war--we've all seen that, whether at home or here and now. As I'm sure you've all noticed, the consoles were the first casualty.
6.
7. But it seems as if what we've developed ourselves has been spared. Maybe it's because it wasn't hooked in, and it isn't deemed important yet. Whatever the reason:
8.
9. Here at the radio, we are still up and running. We will stay up and running twenty-four-seven as long as the crisis persists. Our headquarters is in EA-3A. If you need to broadcast and emergency message, stop by. Someone will be here to help you. We may not be able to receive replies, but news will still get out. If you have any important updates on the situation, come as well. We are under attack, but we are fighting back, and we are not helpless.
10.
11. Finally, while we're determined to keep this up, we do need help. We will be taking on extra volunteers to make sure we never have to go off the air.
12.
13. As more information comes in, we'll share as much as we can with you, both on rescue efforts, safe-havens, places for treatment, and other hazards inflicted by this action. And more than just news and announcements are welcome; music, stories, anything you think may raise morale can and will be interspersed with our updates.
14.
15. We'll repeat this message periodically throughout the day. And to our enemy, should it--or they--be listening:
16.
17. However much you try, we'll resist. Whatever lengths you go to, we will match. And we will not be silenced.
18.
19. [The feed cuts. It is recorded and repeated.]
20.
21. [ACTION]
22.
23. [And for those who want to stop by and sign up, or make announcements this first day, Lois can be found in the front room more or less constantly--usually with coffee in her hand. She looks more than a little frazzled, but also somehow energized. This is her natural habitat.]
24.
25. [[ooc: any action here is only for immediate visits and reactions to this message specifically. There is a thread for general radio interactions during the whole event here. OOC information here]]
