Love Unwhole (Part 4 - Final)

>”Anon!” Twilight shouted.
>Rainbow Dash followed suit, “We know you’re in there! Come on out and fight!”
>Someone revealed your location and you bet your ass it was that no good AppleJack. You jump through the window and landed on the ground.
AppleJack, I didn’t think you would squeal on me. Now I’ll have to take care of that mouth of yours.
>Your rage was seething beneath the surface; all you could think about was Chrysalis and defending her. She must not be discovered.
>AJ sneered, “It wasn’t me Anon. Someone sent a letter to me. From someone who thought she was safe with, but you betrayed her.”
>Twilight reached into her satchel and pulled out a written letter, “Jubilee told us what happened. How you acted strange and you can’t remember who Pinkie is and why you’re here.”
I don’t know who this ‘Pinkie’ is, but it’s really starting to annoy me that no one will shut up about her.
>You walked towards them with your fists clenched, “Now listen here you brute!” Rarity spoke up, “We’re here to help you, not fight you.”
Help? Spare yourself the trouble and leave now.
>You were focused on Twilight Sparkle as she glared at you. The others begin to surround you, but it didn’t matter what they would do. You felt confident in your strength to stop them
>Rainbow Dash went to your right, Rarity to the left and AJ circled all the way behind you.
>Twilight definitely noticed something was up with your eyes as they even began to glow dimly. “Anon, this is not who you are! We’re your friends! Pinkie Pie loved you. Try to remember!”
>You winced as if you were experiencing some kind of severe brain freeze. But your mind was clouded with thoughts of Chrysalis and defending her.
Stop... saying... that NAME!
>Twilight wasn’t done as tears filled her eyes, “Don’t you remember burning your house down after what Fluttershy did? How you ran away? Why you were here in the first place?”
>You could smell smoke and see fire, but images were missing. Who and why? You shook your head.
If you don’t shut the fuck up right now, I’ll break your goddamn horn off and-
>”HEY!” Rainbow Dash yells and charges at you from your right side. She was begging to die.
>With a quick side-step, you dodge the oncoming Pegasus but just as she passed you, you managed to grab her wings; each in one hand and slam her to the ground.
>Rainbow winces in pain as you pull her wings backwards and place a foot on her spine.
This is just like breaking a wish bone, and I’m about to break off the biggest piece....
>”UNHAND HER, YOU RUFFIAN!” Rarity shouted as performs a double kick at your left side.
>You reach out with your left hand and seized her by one leg, stopping her dead in her tracks. Lifting up the marshmallow pony, her legs flail about “Put me down!”
>Maybe if you smashed Rarity and Rainbow Dash together you could break their skulls.
>Your thoughts are interrupted by a lasso coming down around your head and tightening around your neck. AJ was pulling with all her strength from behind you, trying to pull you back.
>You managed not to fall, but still held Rainbow Dash and Rarity in your grip. Turning to look at AJ, you could only grin at her.
I’ll be looking forward to dealing with you-
>“Heeyaah!” you hear a shout coming from in front of you. As you turn Twilight was at your feet and delivered an earth shattering kick to your groin.
>Time stopped for a brief moment.
>Then the agonizing pain seeped in. You dropped the two ponies, and AJ finally pulls you to the ground as you clutched your groin.
>”I’m sorry Anon, but this is for your own good.” Twilight said.
>Through your coughing and feeling like you had to vomit, Twilight approaches you with her horn ablaze in magical light.Get away from me...
>You growled at her, but she didn’t stop. She couldn’t take you away from Chrysalis. She had no right.
>You lifted up a hand to stop Twilight, but AJ was ready to pin your hand back. “Hit em with the spell now, Twi!” she yelled.
>You stared in disbelief as the horn came closer and finally touched your forehead.
Nooo!
>As if a supernova went off in your brain, the haze and fury that shrouded your mind began to dissolve. You remember the first night you met the queen and how she seduced you.
>You remember how blood thirsty you became. How you violent assaulted Ms. Jubilee and how you...
>You killed the sheriff.
>Chrysalis made you forget someone...
>Then the memories of Pinkie came back and flooded your mind of all the happy times you spent, and how she was taken from you.
>Your reason of being here, opening the medical clinic and helping others came back to you.
>You remembered how you denied knowing her and throwing that one picture of her into the trash.
>Of all the things to remember, you had to bear the thoughts of the harm you brought to these ponies.
>Twilight and her friends look down at you as the green in your eyes slowly faded away. Emotions began to stir as you felt your mouth go dry.
>As you stared into the sky and the four ponies, tears streamed from your eyes.
>”I think that did the trick, Twi” AJ commented.
>The pain and sheer guilt you felt in your heart made the pain in your groin seem like nothing as you slowly say up. Not saying a word, but still crying you looked at Twilight and the others.
>Twilight was tearing up again as she looked into your eyes. The ponies who risked their own life to come out here and save you began to sniffle. No words needed to be said.
>With your bottom lip trembling you lurched forward and hugged Twilight and sobbed softly. “It’s OK Anon, we’re here now...”
>Burying your face in her shoulder and mane, you didn’t want to let go. The others joined in and embraced you as well.
>As the town folk came out to watch this entire event unfold from the beginning, they started asking questions. But Twilight nudged you with her muzzle, “Do you want to go inside and calm down first?”
>You sniff and nod as you slowly got to your feet. Avoiding eye contact with the town folk, you saunter your way into the saloon with the four ponies.
>AJ turned to the crowd, “Don’t none of y’all fuss. We’ll be back soon enough.” She walks in following after you.
>As you sit down at the bar, you buried your head into your folded arms and took deep breaths. RD was getting impatient, “OK, we found Anon. Now what?”
>Rarity gave a scornful look at Rainbow Dash, “Mind your manners! Anon has been through a lot and he needs us.”
>“Which is why I sent that letter.” Ms. Jubilee replied as she came down a set of stairs. You looked up at her for a moment but you averted your eyes.
>”I figured AppleJack and her friends would come ASAP if I mentioned you, Anon. It was hard for me to do since I know how much you wanted to stay hidden, but I wanted to see you get better.” Ms. Jubilee sat behind the bar counter.
Jubilee, if it takes me the rest of my life I will do whatever it take to make it up to you.
>She just smiled, “It’s alright, sug. I already forgive you.” But that didn’t make you feel better.
Well I don’t forgive myself.
>AJ huffed, “You see? Anon you can’t keep beating yourself up. If someone forgives you, then y’all should accept it.”
AppleJack, I thank you for your honesty but what I did was unforgivable!
>Twilight rubbed your back tenderly, “Anon, is this why you ran away? Because of what happened to Pinkie? You thought it was your fault?”
>You didn’t respond.
>RD spoke up, “Listen, I’ve done some crazy things before. But friends are there to forgive and help you forgive yourself.” You just gazed at her with this sad look in your face.
I’m sorry, but the things I’ve done are inexcusable. I wouldn’t expect you to understand.
>”Darling, you can’t do this to yourself. You’ll stress yourself into bad health.” Rarity adds. You just wanted to change the subject. You asked with a grim tone.
Where’s Fluttershy?
>”Don’t worry Anon. We talked about it without her and decided it was best to have her stay home in Ponyville. She’s still on trial for what happened to Pinkie.” Twilight told you as you rubbed your scalp.
Three goddamn years and she’s still on trial?
>”These things take time, I’m sorry.” That was all she could offer you, but at least that yellow psycho wasn’t here. At least for her sake because you just might’ve had enough rage left to finish her off.
>But there was a more pressing matter at hand; the Queen and her hive.
You guys need to take everyone here and evacuate the town right away.
>Twilight asked, “What’s wrong Anon? What’s happening?”
Where to begin...? It all started this one night...
>You told them of what happened to you. How Queen Chrysalis was still alive after all these years. That she tricked you into thinking she was Pinkie to trick you into giving her your love and kick starting her changeling army.
>It infuriated you to tell them how she forcefully made you forget about Pinkie, and in turn made herself the object of your affection.
>You continuously fed her your love, which she used to give you strength. It was something you thought that could protect the ponies of the town, but instead... you turned into a monster.
>Burning the medicine, raping Jubilee and killing the sheriff. Now these ponies feared for their lives and most likely resented you.
>Now Queen Chrysalis’s army is ready to hatch and begin anew. And it’s your entire fault.
>AJ scoffed, “So what do you reckon, we just pack up and high tail it outta here running away?”
No. You guys are going to bring the ponies safely away from here. This is one mistake I can at least try to fix.
>”Anon, we’re not going to leave you!” Twilight insisted.
Twilight! Every time I do something to try and help, someone gets hurt. I know what I have to do and  you all need to leave by sunset.
>”Ain’t nothing doing.” AppleJack said adamantly. You forgotten just how stubborn she could be.
>”Quite. We need to show those uncouth changelings a thing or two.” Rarity smiled triumphantly.
>”Give the boot!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
>You looked to Twilight, but it didn’t seem like you could change her mind “We’ve lost you once, and I’m not going to lose you again.”
You’re something else you know that?
>”Y’all can’t get rid of us that easy!” AJ grinned while the others agreed.
>Rainbow Dash hovered next to you, “So... what was your plan anyways?” she asked inquisitively.
Well, the only way I know how...
>”A showdown?” RD asked with fire in her eyes.
No.
>”With love?!” Rarity said with a glimmer in her eyes still remembering that fateful wedding day.
>Everyone just stared at her. Rarity blushes as she realizes how silly she sounded.
A little friend of mine I like to call TNT....
>Spreading out a large sheet of parchment, you drew out the chamber that was hidden under Devils Spike. To the best of your memory you could remember where all the stone columns are.
>If you made enough explosives to destroy them, then you it should be enough to bring the cave down and destroy the nest.
>”I got a question Anon.” AJ put her hoof up. “What in tarnation is this Tee En Tee?”
A slight exaggeration on my part I’m afraid. I don’t know the first thing about making that stuff. TNT is a powerful explosive but the next best thing we can make is black powder.
>The other ponies mumble amongst themselves.
Black powder is easy, it requires three things: potassium nitrate, charcoal and sulfur. The mines nearby have everything we need. Problem is, we need a lot of it. 70% is nitrate, 16% for charcoal and the remaining 14% is for sulfur. That should make it strong enough to blast rock.
>You and your friends set out obtaining the chemicals and material you needed and with Twilight to help organize the production you set a small assembly line making simple IEDs.
>As you set the explosives into a pile you had to think of a way to detonate them. You looked at Twilight
>”You WHAT?!” she yelled at you.
I knew you would react that way, but it’ll work! Just infuse your magic into these explosives to go off when I push the button.
>You held up the detonator to her, “Anon, what if you can’t make it out?” the look in her eyes was a dead giveaway of her concern for you.
I will Twilight, that’s why you need to play your part for this to work.
>”Okay... here it goes.” She closes her eyes and concentrates, her horn glowing bright. A single spark from the tip of her horn gently floats to the detonator. The rest of the explosives shimmered a pinkish glow before returning to normal.
Did that do it?
>”Yes...” she said trying to catch her breath. “Just be careful, Anon”
>The last thing you wanted to do was make some of these explosives stick to the wall. There was a cactus in the desert that could work.
>Rainbow Dash collected them, although she wasn’t too happy that she had to handle them. Slicing the outer skin off the cactus, you squeeze the sticky juices onto the explosives. They felt tacky at first but they dried soon enough.
All they need is some water and then the protein strains in the sticky residue will explode and create a sticky gel.
>”Please tell me you have a plan, darling.” Rarity asked.
As a matter of fact, I do.
>You lay out a map showing Devils Spike and the surrounding area.
We wait until late at night. I’ll enter the cave here the usual way, but I can’t risk the current changelings see me planting the bombs. That’s where you come in.
>Taking a pencil, you marked to the side where they would approach.
RD, I need you to do whatever you can to make a ruckus outside. There isn’t a lot of changelings, but when I’m inside and the queen feels safe she’ll send them out. You run away as far as you can to keep them busy.
>”You got it.” Rainbow Dash saluted.
As soon as they leave, I’ll distract her and plant the bombs. Then before she realizes it, I’ll run out of there. By then when the changelings chase you far enough, they’ll instinctively head back. That’s when I detonate the bombs.
>”Well, it’s dusk. We better get ready.” Twilight warned everyone.
>That night as you got your affairs in order, you went to your old house. You couldn’t believe you destroyed all the medicine.
>As you head to your bedroom, you looked in the trash bin where the photo of Pinkie nestled.
>Picking it up, you held it close to your chest.
I’ll make everything better, I promise...
>You looked out to see the full moon glowing in the night sky.
I pinkie promise.
>you placed the photo in your pocket.
>Packing the explosives in a huge backpack, you looked around and packs a bottle of water to activate the sticky substance.
>As you walked down the middle of the street, Twilight and the others were waiting.
>The town folks were at the edge of the street watching you walk down the dusty road. Soon, some of the ponies asked what they were to do.
>You explained to them what you intended to do, but they should remain in their homes for the time being.
I’m not one for long winded speeches, but I made a promise to someone and to myself. I will protect you no matter what.
>The town folk whispered among themselves, but you didn’t wait for them to say anything else.
>But you had to make a quick stop first. The cemetery.
I need a minute alone.
>You walked up to a tombstone where a few flowers and a hat lay in front.
>It was the sheriff.
>Kneeling down you revered the silence. Hoping that you will be forgiven one day.
>Getting up to your feet, you slung the backpack over your shoulder and walked past the four ponies.
Let’s go.
>As you and the others walked down the Hoodoo Valley, you told RD to take position and wait 5 minutes. Rarity and AJ went ahead to get to theirs.
>You held Twilight back and waited for the others to be far away.
Twilight. I’m sorry. Sorry for lying and running away. After all these years, and I could only imagine your reaction when AJ gave you the letter.
>She just smiled sweetly at you, “Anon, I’m just glad to know you’re still alive.”
Be ready in case this plan doesn’t work. You need to get to Celestia and warn her.
>”Anon, don’t say things like that...” her eyes sadden.
I don’t want to, but that’s a reality we might have to face. If you don’t see me out of the tunnel after the explosions, then you need to get help.
>She nods, “I will. You can count on us.” She trots away to get into position.
>The looming shadow of Devils Spike overtakes you as the moon hides behind it monstrous figure.
>What the hell were you getting yourself into?
>Inside the cave, the stone door opened. You descended into the glowing green abyss once more, and perhaps the last time.
>A few changelings scattered about in the tunnels, there was more than you expected. RD was about to lure them out.
>As you entered the chamber you saw there was even more eggs than before.
>It was like that scene from the Matrix but only greener and slimier looking. Chrysalis was checking her brood of eggs on the wall; you could see the features of a changeling inside.
Chrysalis, the hive is under attack.
>”What?” she screeched.
>At that moment, you could hear RD kicking the stone walls with her yelling. The sound lightly echoes through the stone walls.
There’s a mob outside that threatens us.
>She looked flustered, but with a flash of her horn she bellows out, “Go my swarm! Go and protect your Queen!” The chamber fills with a dozen or so changelings that fly around the room a few times before taking a single tunnel that presumably leads them outside.
Did you send them all?
>She nods, “But as long as you’re here, I have nothing to worry about.” Her anxieties seem to have disappeared, “I’m so glad you returned, my love.”
I only want to be with you, Chrysalis.
>She floats over to you, “What’s in the backpack, dear?” she smirks at you.
Just a few of my personal belongings, seeing as how we’re going to be together. And...
>You reach into your backpack and pull out a bottle of water.
This!
>She inspects it with a questioned look on her face, “Is... this water?”
Not just any water, back home this is a super aphrodisiac that makes the love making all the more... intense.
>You gave her the most exotic look you could muster, she seemed intrigued. “You shouldn’t have... Shall we get started now?” she asked.
You go wait for me in the Royal Chamber, my sweet. It’ll take me a minute to get the full affect flowing in my system.
>She giggles, “I’ll be waiting...” she walks into the Royal Chamber and out of sight.
>Quickly you empty the explosives onto the floor and sprinkled water on each one. The residue reactivated and you quickly throw a few onto the walls.
>You set about setting the bombs around the stone pillars. That should do the trick.
>Then finally, the big one. Placing it in the centre of the room you pull out the detonator.
>As you turn to leave, Chrysalis came out of her chamber, “Anon, what’s taking so lo-” she stops to see you holding something in your hand.
>She flies over to you, “What’s that you’re holding?” You hold it behind your back.
Nothing. I’m just getting ready to join you.
>She looked suspiciously at you, “You seem worried, my dear.”
I uh...
>Thank God she didn’t notice the bombs placed around the room.
>”I know you’re hiding something from me.” Her tone becoming hostile.
>Gotta think fast.
>In a flash of inspiration, you take her by her front hooves and begin to dance with her. “What are you doing!?” she asked.
The dance of my people, of course.
>She tries to pull away from you.
Nonono. This will enhance the mating ritual. I want everything to be perfect for you! Only the best for you!
>You could tell the queen was confused, “What nonsense are you spouting?” she demanded.
>Time was running out. Twilight and the others were probably out of range by now.
>What you didn’t know was during the chase outside, RD was blitzed by the changelings and sprained one of her wings in the fall. She was able to run the rest of the way thankfully.
>You had to get out of here, but Chrysalis started to drag you to her Royal Chamber “Come with me, Anon. I’m sure you’ll perform just fine.”
The aphrodisiac isn’t ready!
>There was no way out of this. You held the detonator in your hand and that’s when you had to decide.
>The changelings were already on their way back.
>You stop Chrysalis and wrap your arms around her neck, “I’m sorry my Queen. I don’t know what came over me.”
>She grins, rubbing her nose against yours, just like how Pinkie use too. “Shall we go?” she gestured to the Royal Chamber.
You know what Pinkie loved the most?
>”What...?” she asked, shocked to hear you utter that name.
Surprises.
>She looked at you in confusion.
>You pull up the detonator between you and her. To say she was shocked was an understatement.
Surprise...
>*click*
>A loud explosion filled the chamber as you both were sent flying into the stone wall, your ears ringing and head fuzzy.
>The changelings were returning home as the explosions go off. Twilight and her friends galloped as fast as they could when they heard the bombs go off.
>Looking up, you could see the columns were destroyed and the whole ceiling was rumbling, but Chrysalis was instantly on top of you. Her eyes and horn glowing bright green, “YOU FOOL!” she screeches.
>Adrenaline sets in as you push her off with a kick. The Queen then decided life was more precious and took to the air.
>She buzzed through the air dodging the falling rocks, but some of the bombs didn’t go off yet.
>As she neared the top, another set of explosion goes off. A huge slab catches her underneath and you could only hear her muffled screams as she is crushed.
>Green goo oozes from underneath the slab.
>Picking yourself up, you hurried as quickly as you could down the tunnel. The changelings weren’t to please to see you.
>As the tunnel you traveled to started to shake violently, you knew Devils Spike was about to collapse in on itself. Something grabbed you from behind.
>A changeling sinks it teeth into shoulder and rips into the flesh. You reach around and manage to get it off, but soon more came.
>You fought them off, but they were persistent in their assault. They would quickly fly by you and slice your exposed sink with their razor sharp fangs and wings.
>The falling rocks helped to slow them down, but they did the same for you. A large stone cracks you on the back of your skull and you could feel yourself get weaker.
>Blood was pooling beneath you.
>Twilight and her friends hurried, but they were still ways away when they heard the explosions go off. She knew it wasn’t a good sign.
>Another one sank its fangs into you and more piled onto you. Their mouths and wretched hooves clawed and chewed away, taking away chunks of skin and flesh.
>You get to your feet and dragged them along with you. Your vision blurred as you lost more blood, but you couldn’t die here, not now.
>You seized a changeling and snapped its neck, but your strength left you once more.
>As you neared the exit, the rocks almost blocked it off. You swung wildly, shaking the changelings off you. You bolted for the tiny opening.
>You climbed over the rubble as you began to squeeze through the tiny tunnel. The changelings grabbed your left leg
>They began to chew through the flesh around the ankle as you desperately tried to ignore the agonizing pain.
>Those fuckers wanted a piece of you because they started to chew through the tendons and bones like a pack of piranhas.
>You wanted to pass out. The pain was almost too much, but with a final snap they managed to take off your left foot.
>This was your chance as you crawled to freedom. The tunnel behind you collapsed as you crawled through the cave entrance.
>The sun was beginning to rise as you crawled out. You stopped to look at your leg, you groaned loudly as the pain shot through your body.
>You kept crawling away from the cave and could hear the caves give way. You slowly made your way to the base of the Hoodoo Valley and with your last strength you rested yourself against a hoodoo.
>Coughing up blood, you watched as dust and debris shoot into the air from Devils Spike as it finally crashes in on itself.
>It was done. She’s dead.
>Laughing weakly in the morning sun, you felt a warm liquid flow down your face. It was more blood.
>A trail of blood traced from you to the cave and it was a lot. Your mouth was dry and you breathed short quick breaths.
Well, at least I did one good thing...
>Closing your eyes for a moment, you open them but only to be blinded by a bright light and by your side was Pinkie.

Pinkie...?
>She smiles and nuzzles you, “Anon, you’re still hurting.” You knew what she meant.
I could’ve saved you Pinkie. If I played my cards differently...
>”You can’t run from the past, Anon. It wasn’t your fault.” She was so beautiful, even if you’re experiencing a delusion.
>You found yourself sitting against a large tree in Apple Acres with Pinkie Pie watching a sun set. You could feel the warm breeze blow through your hair.
Pinkie... I don’t know if I can forgive myself...
>”I died knowing how much you cared for me. Even when you were being extorted, you still risked everything to see me. To tell me how much you loved me.”
>There was some truth to this.
I just want to be with you. I miss you.
>With tears in her eyes she pecks you on the cheek, “Me too.”
>For a moment you both looked at the sunset.
Is this heaven?
>It was really peaceful here and you wanted to be with Pinkie forever. “Only if you want it to be.” She said.
>You looked to that fiery red sunset and looked back at your life.
>Living a mundane existence in the real world with no real future only to end up fighting for life or death in this one.
>You looked to her with a smile and a nod.
>With that, she kisses you on the forehead, “I’ll be waiting...”
>Everything fades around as your vision clears. You could see the blue sky once more. Your lungs breathed in that last bit of sweet air and you felt yourself relax.
>You felt at peace as you finally forgave yourself.
>You could already hear Pinkie calling for you.
I’m ready...
>As your breathed that last bit of air, you could see Twilight and her friends rush to your side as the world goes dark.
>Twilight tries to shake you back into consciousness, "You promised me! You promised this wouldn't happen!" tears streamed down her face.
>Your vision fades as you look to them, the utter sadness of seeing an old friend die in front of them was too much.
>Everything was getting darker as you felt yourself slump over.
>”Come back...” they called out, but it was nothing but whispering to you.
>Ever since you came here, you knew that you were never meant for this world.
>It was time for you to go and be with Pinkie.
