  1. [03:13] Amidst the chaos she stood. She watched the blows being traded, hoping for either of them to fall victim to a horrible, horrible fate. One due to who he was, the other due to how he handled issues. Before anything horrible befell any of them the fight seemed to come to an abrupt end - Calael forced to fly away and take off, grabbing the child as he soared about Rindou's person.
  2.
  3. .. And she remained. She stared that monster down, fighting the oppressive aura of emptiness that came about him with despair of her own; with the realization that she wouldn't attain that kind of strength. That Calael's efforts were futile, and that she was even further than that when it came to power.
  4.
  5. What could she do?
  6. She wasn't running.
  7. What could she do?
  8.
  9. Rindou Sakamoto's amber gaze remained upon the Ultovex as the world was torn asunder, as a rip in space itself was presented to her with a long stare. She shared it right back, almost... challenging the man.
  10.
  11. Why? What for? Even she couldn't tell, yet in that moment she wanted nothing more than to wield the same kind of strength as him.
  12. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [03:14] Calael glared at Rindou. He couldn't stay here with his injuries, nor could he allow Juniper to stay here any longer than she already had. He tore through the air and up the way back toward Levengard, knowing Rindou likely stayed behind for specific reasons.
  16. (Calael E. Kang)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [03:17] The rest ran. Calael was defeated by the Ultovex so he would take the children and run, unable to protect them. But as the virtue of Wisdom made haste, the Ultovexian would remain as his own rift would begin to open. Rindou's amber gaze remained on him as the space was opened, the rift beginning to open in front of her as well.
  20.
  21. He says nothing. Instead his movement is a hand extended towards the woman as he backs up slowly towards the portal behind him. It's not fast, but a slow walk back.
  22.
  23. "They're no longer grey like marble."
  24.
  25. "But I do see a beauty still in those eyes o' yours."
  26. (Despair)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [03:22] The more she saw those rifts opening and closing, the more she craved that power - that ability to... cheat her way through life. To take shortcuts, to be stronger, faster. There was no other way to put it, really. It was against the good will of nature itself, but... so was she, right? When Reito unveiled that mythical creature all the Rindou felt was rejection, confusion, and a mix of love and hatred.
  30.
  31. Even with her desires being pushed to their brightest and highest the Illuminated held strong - making her wants known while keeping her head high.
  32.
  33. "Have you come just to compliment me or are you going to show me how to use those, at last?"
  34. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [03:27] The Ultovexian smirked. Oddly enough as the pale green light continued to pour from the heavens down on him, the Ultovexian would look different. It was as if the light of the object was restoring him, slowly raising his power more then it already was, cheating further his abilities as Despair continued to spread.
  38.
  39. Yet, as seconds ticked he moved further and further back into that rift he had opened, further into a place far from there.
  40.
  41. "If you want to learn, then come. I will not teach you the lesson now, but I will show you where we will meet for you to learn. In time you will go there, and our lesson will begin. The first at least."
  42.
  43. "We can make our payment in an invisibility potion. I'm feeling particularly charitable."
  44.
  45. "Even if it is a bit unfortunate ya ain't want to take a compliment."
  46. (Despair)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [03:30] Rindou stared long and hard as the man made his offer - requesting nothing more than a potion to grant her the knowledge she sought out. It was... a ridiculously small price, but still one that signified a level of trade - of equal opportunities rather than gifts. She wanted not to owe him, but this was much, much more different.
  50.
  51. This wasn't two favors as he had demanded before. This wasn't any sort of slavery, promise, or forced subordination. No. She was being treated as a business partner more than anything else, allowed to walk by him rather than behind.
  52.
  53. And so, that is how she entered the tear in space, keeping silent and accepting the 'price'.
  54. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [03:33] It wasn't a place that someone would think to go to without prompting. A little house sitting by itself in the middle of the icy tundras, yet far from the top. The Huant seemed almost well lived in as a rift would deposit them near it and it would thereafter be entered.
  58.
  59. "We'll talk the price o' lessons in full latta. But fer the first I'll accept an invisiblity potion. I do need ta keep high on stock an' after today, I've gone through two."
  60.
  61. "I plan ta o through many mor'."
  62.
  63. He turned around, facing Rindou as he did. "Got the location memorized?"
  64. (Despair)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [03:36] The young woman looked at the house for a few moments, taking in the surroundings and listening to the man speaking of the full price that was awaiting for her. She wasn't going to argue with him about it - not yet. Not until he'd try to ask for something she was not willing to let up.
  68.
  69. A potion was fine. She'd get someone to make one for her - lie to them about needing it to avoid Sors or something.
  70.
  71. "This place isn't nearly as charming as you think." She retorted.
  72. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [03:38] The Ultovexian's shoulders would rise and fall.
  76.
  77. "Not ma house. It's relatively unused so sometimes I use it ta hold undead, but it's one o' the many places tha' people rarely look. I'm seein' about gettin' a lock an' key but I've always been less focused on charm."
  78.
  79. "Ma interest is functionality. Does it do wha' I need it ta an' all tha'." The Ultovexian explained as his arms crossed. Dusk and Aurum would hold their judgemental gaze on the woman.
  80. (Despair)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [03:40] Rindou Sakamoto says, ".. Fair enough."
  84. [03:40] Despair asks, "Will you b able ta return to the shrine o' Levengard from here wit' lil trouble?"
  85. [03:41] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Most likely. Though a shortcut is always appreciated."
  86. [03:41] Despair asks, "This is the closest point to the shrine I have. Do you want Levengard?"
  87. [03:44] Rindou nodded.
  88. (Rindou Sakamoto)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [03:44] Despair says, "The entrance ta the Maplegrove then."
  92. [03:44] Despair says, "Seeya."
  93. [03:45] Rindou Sakamoto says, "Later."
