Kyouko was one of the first from the new batches to be placed into this new afterlife-like world. She had set up her own home, and works occasionally as an information broker to the souls who dare wander out into the Desert Wastes. She prefers to live in the modern-esque settings of things, and quite enjoys her afterlife.

However, she can't help but wonder why the reapers are there, why they're stuck in this city, and if they'll ever rejoin the living. She finds herself digging into this topic more than she should, to the point where she finds herself investigating various leads.
