  1. READING
  2. 1. Skip hard problems, go back to them when you have time
  3. 2. Read the first line of each paragraph to get the gist of the passage
  4. 3. Do the problems with line references first (On line 57, it says...)
  5. 4. For any problem, there's one right answer and 3 somehow wrong answers. Eliminate the wrong answers.
  6. 5. If a question's kind of hard and it has a follow up question that's like:
  7. Which choice provides the best evidence for the answer to the previous question?
  8. You can check the possible line references from the follow up and see which line best answers the original question.
  9. 6. If there's a dual passage, save it for later when you're running low on time, since you can easily get 1/2 of it done with only a few minutes left
  10. 7. If the question asks for something conceptual like the intention or theme of something, then the most literal answer choice is probably wrong
  11. 8. The questions are in chronological order with the passage (Just good to know)
  12.
  13. MATH
  14. 1. If you don't know how to evaluate a problem, you can usually just start plugging in the each answer choice into the problem until you get find one that works
  15. 2. Read the last part of the word problems first so you know what it's asking for, then actually read the problem, keeping in mind what they want
  16. 3. If you're plugging in answers to see which one works, and the problem asks for:
  17. "What's the smallest amount that Tim needs to buy..." then plug in the lowest answer choice first, then work your way up
  18. "What's the largest amount that Tim can have before he..." then plug in the highest answer choice first, the work your way down
  19. ^based on logic
  20. 4. Usually you wanna save the wall of text problems for later cause you can spend that time doing multiple shorter problems
