  1. General Discussion > How do you feel about Moberator abandoning MM?
  2.
  3. It amazes me that the REAL number of characters that are actually playing the game, and not simply looking around, is below 400, and yet the systematic wiping of characters who are older than a few weeks remain.
  4.
  5.
  6. Four years of this behavior suggests to me that the players are not to blame; the lazy creator of the game has failed to provide a product that rewards hard work and adjusts to player behaviour in order to stay relevant.
  7.
  8.
  9. Four years ago I told Moberator that he had a unique game in the crowded online mafia rpg space, but if he really wants it to live up to its potential and survive a few years then he must do something to discourage mass offline whacking.

  12. Moberator responded that MM is a hardcore game devoted to hardcore players and that as a player, losing your character in random wipes is part of the hardcore appeal. Well, at that time MM`s population was 500% larger. I think it`s safe to say that casual players left the broken game a long time ago. Now your coveted `hardcore` players are abandoning it.

  15. Meanwhile, Mob has smartly looked after his bank account and compensated it for the lack of players by proliferating the game with ads. He claims that they are here and there in order to pay for ads to bring in new players. That my friends is a joke. Have you seen any dramatic increase in players? I haven`t either.
  16.
  17.
  18. Here`s a quick exercise: go to Google and `put in online mafia rpg`. See any MM ads? Me neither. Can you even spot MafiaMatrix in the page rankings? I can! It`s beyond Page 10 (and it doesn`t even reference the actual MM site - it links you to old version of a dead and broken signup page from 2008!) because Moberator is too lazy to sit down and spend an afternoon to adjust how Google crawls the MafiaMatrix site. Meanwhile, shitty games like TheMafiaBoss have thousands of players because they are on the first page of the rankings.

  21. Moberator has abandoned the game while still profiting from it through the addition of ads. You click monkeys should abandon the game as well.
  22.
  23.
  24. Seeing as this is a general discussion forum, and it is designed as "discussion place for all different kinds of game-related topics", I think it's time that we as players expect some communication from Moberator in regards to what he plans to do to prevent MafiaMatrix from completely dying.
  25.
  26.
  27. This isn't intended to be a suggestion thread, because there was recently a thread started by Cornflake that urged players to make suggestions for 'game changing' features and additions that would benefit the game. Dozens of players put thought and time into it. Moberator himself responded by saying he hasn't read the replies and doesn't intend to. (Wtf?)

  29.
  30. From speaking with countless other people in the MM community, I know there are many that are feeling like calling it quits. I would like to see Moberator (not Djulio, not Cornflake, not Roger) convince us why there's a bright future for MafiaMatrix.
