  1. Medium RP Week 2: Electric Boogaloo: Revenge of the Roleplay
  2.
  3. What is medium RP week?
  4.
  5. Medium RP week (or in this case, two weeks) is a period of time where we have more RP-friendly rules to encourage roleplaying instead of mindlessly running around and fucking with people. This doesn't mean you are forced to roleplay someone timid that has no experience with weaponry if you're not Sec and you don't have to cower in a corner for every scary traitor that comes by either. Hell, if you don't want to roleplay at all, that's fine. You can just do your job silently and not interact with any other crewmember more than is needed. If your thing is graytiding though, you might want to tone it down.
  6.
  7. What are the new rules during medium RP week?
  8.
  9. -Graytiding will be cracked down on
  10. Going around as an assistant (or anyone) randomly assaulting people or breaking into places for no reason will be punished. You can still play an assistant, even a criminal one, just don't go around being a chucklefuck and disrupting other people trying to do their jobs.
  11.
  12. -Security has completely free reign if their actions are justifiable by Space Law
  13. Space Law will be enforced instead of merely being a guideline. What this means is that Security has to follow the Standard Brig Procedure as described in the Space Law book, and punish according to the times listed there and for the crimes listed there including the modifiers. Space Law will be changed for the next two weeks to include executions requiring a trial beforehand. Permabrigging, borging and solitary will still be allowed without a trial.
  14.
  15. -Admins will not be allowed to randomly press buttons because they feel like it
  16. Admins will have to keep their bus boners in their pants for the next two weeks. No more random round-changing events just 'cause, they actually need a reason. Valid reasons include, but are not limited to, a round going on too long, admins responding to prayers or requests coming from the station or the event being pre-organized and properly planned out. And even then, events should revolve around a few individuals that want to take part instead of the entire station, where not everyone might want to participate. If they can't contain themselves, their non-essential flags will be taken away. This is something that went wrong the last time we had medium RP week, and i'll be more strict about it this time.
  17.
  18. -Silicons are encouraged to actually roleplay a machine instead of just an omniscient human
  19. While this is a hard one to enforce (and a hard one to roleplay), we want silicons to behave more like machines and less like humans. Ways to roleplay a machine could include more formal/static speech patterns or behaving like artificial intelligence programmed to behave and respond like a human. Just avoid naming yourself J.A.M.A.L and talking in ebonics.
  20.
  21. But Senaat-sempai, i don't know how to roleplay!
  22.
  23. If you've never roleplayed before, read this http://wiki.baystation12.net/index.php/A_Crash_Course_In_Roleplaying.
  24.
  25. And then forget most of it and just remember the core parts, we're not nearly as strict as Bay, you can still be the protagonist and recognize Syndicate weaponry on sight. But it's a good primer, y'know.
