Still, they're hungry. With Morok acquiring another with the traits he desires, they look to Carlisle, then Yuri.

Naturally, they weren't a part of what Morok spoke of. Agreeing only meant he wouldn't do anything to the Lapine.

"Go and prove yourself."

Jianyu kept still, observing for the time being. "I would hate to be disappointed. You're not a disappointment, are you, Yuri? Mh?"

They poke and toy with that insecurity, one Carlisle always spoke of.

[22:05] "I'm not sure why you believe you're capable of making demands in an undesirable position." The young girl finds herself shifting briefly, her bow and arrow adjusting, holstered back upon her back. "You're not in the right headscape to do that...Your best bet entirely was to comply and then we could talk about the status of your friend here." She gazes towards the young Lapine, motioning the back of her palm to her.

"In any event....No, I won't be letting her go. Not until Morok here is done with you." Unfortunately. But since Morok had been greedy for the battle, well...It seems that Yuri would be safe for now. A gentle sigh spills forth from her lips as she speaks.

"Come along then, let's all go to a more...Open area. Hopefully, your friend doesn'ttry to run again or this will get much, much worse."

[22:10] Yuri was put in a position where the chain of command was neither clear nor obvious. For someone as nervous, frightened, and insecure as himself it sure was difficult to deal with. His gaze shifted from Veronica who seemed to understand the situation, to Jianyu who demanded proof of his word, to Carlisle who seemed keen on not letting to bunny go, and to Jianyu again.

A few words escaped him, amidst the insults, the anger of his supposed betrayal, of what it all meant. Yuri addressed none of it. He didn't even look at Veronica who likely wished to hear answers.

"So... y-you want the rabbit, then?" He asked the Shengese, his left hand rising up to grasp upon the hilt of his blade.

He needed confirmation. Of course. He'd made far too many mistakes already.

[22:12] "Mhm. Go get the rabbit so she's more quiet."

Jianyu didn't repeat the demand they wanted. It's the only way to get them to believe a word he said. A drop of it echoed louder than any speech imaginable.

"Hopefully... But," Their gaze moved across the sands and to Carlisle. "Nothing is occurring and I wish for at least something to happen, so."

"Go have some fun, Yuri. Be bold, be brave, be strong."

It wouldn't be fun. It wouldn't be pleasant in the least, really. Yuri was... not a bad person. Not yet, anyway. He'd made mistakes - social mistakes - but even stealing from a child was overdramatized. It had been mercy. It had been a way to ensure Raeliana wouldn't run back into him and force him to jail her like he'd done Redwood. He painted himself as a villain that night.

Hesitation was brimming, but the young Radiant did as he was requested.

Even if it was horrible.

"Alright. I'll... silence her."

And with that, his weapon was brought into his grasp. Only to be followed by a sudden advance - an assault upon Finnae's person to quell Jianyu's desires.

[22:16] Jianyu stared but, not a word was spoken.

He'd hear them.

Maybe he's losing his mind, actually.

[22:19] She stood there frozen. She'd have to fight one of these people. How could she do that though. She had minimal com- No! This was no time to freeze up. She had to be confidant and face this head on. It would be a tough fight but she would still fight none the less.

Yuri was running at her she had to do something quick her mana begun to burn around her and she would form her hair into a chain she would launch at the man. This was gonna be hard. She would most likely be killed or in the very least hurt.

[22:39] Yuri wanted not to do something like that. In his mind, at the very least. Though words had been uttered coming from Jianyu. A demand. A request. One he couldn't ignore, too. His blade cut across Finnae's body, drawing blood from the poor girl here and there. Slashes were sent with a small amount of strength, nothing above what it took for him to give but a normal swing. Was he holding back?

Yes. But perhaps there was more to it. Even while holding back the young Radiant had no trouble defeating his target, his prey. It wouldn't be long before he closed the gap between himself and the girl who'd already been beaten down severely by that point. A mix of raw mana had struck her alongside powerful time magic.

But it wouldn't be enough.

His right fist clenched up. A look was spared in Jianyu's way. And... from the depths of his heart came a demeanor few had seen. The same kind of wrath that had struck against Morok back when hewas naught but a garden snake. The snake kind of bite he brought to Jianyu when he was treated like nothing more than a hound. An inescapable, raw fury.

His right fist moved towards Finnae's abdomen, striking at it with full force in order to draw the breath right out of her lungs. The moment her lips would part Yuri's right hand reached up to her mouth.

To her tongue.

He pulled it out of her mouth forcefully, with no regards to complains, to screaming, to fighting and crying.

Silence her. Everything you do is for me now.

His left hand gripped more tightly upon the oversized Nyeshk weapon slung over his shoulder. It came down like a guillotine, cutting off the rabbit's tongue. To silence her. To take away her ability to speak coherently. To harm her words in a manner that would last forever.

Green eyes held no happiness, no pride, nothing of the sort, yet they stared at Jianyu... seeking approval.

[22:49] The fight raged on but it was a beat down. She had no chance of winning yet she kept fighting. She kept going and going. She couldn't give up. Although that wasn't for her to make.

Cuts after cuts kept coming at her and she would grunt. She grimace at the pain she felt. It was worse than the time against Trik. These were like rips in the flesh from the overly large sword.

Then came the punch to the abdomen that dropped her to the ground. She fell hard she laid there. She would try to get up but would be stopped then her tongue pulled out and cut off.

The amount of pain that she felt in that moment was immense. She would push off the man from adrenaline just alone. She stared him down. She would have to stop the blood quickly with her magic. She manipulated individual strands of hair turning them into strands that would pierce the flesh pulling it shut to stop the blood flow. It was quick and was done sloppily.

She didn't see her teacher anywhere. She was gone. That snake took her. She then heard a loud wind in the distance and looked over to the north. A sandstorm was coming. Fast. She took the moment to send up a bunch of bone lances at the group then ran towards the sandstorm using it as a shroud. She knew the desert. She knew she could get through the storm without a scratch. She could lose them in it if they chased her. She would live like her teacher had asked. She had just hoped her teacher would live.

[22:51] Well, well.

Jianyu sat, legs crossed and dangling off the edge of a small incline in the desert. Their gaze settled on the two as Yuri went to fulfil a demand. Of course, a young girl like this adorned in leather wouldn't hope to defeat a Radiant, one who bullied demons in his youth then soon turned into the victim.

Legs shift in their crossed position.

He beat her pretty badly and slashes and swings of his blade turned into punches, brute force and feelings taken out on the weak.

Though-

Perhaps none present would have expected that the Radiant would expect him to wield his blade in such a manner. When he could have taken her ear, a finger, maybe a foot.

Yuri cut off the rabbit's tongue.

Eyes widened, surprised but such that they even leaned a bit forward. Crimson further coated the sand, this time not wielded by the Lapine or at a result of her own manipulation.

"Woooow."

Shocked, really.

"How literal of you, Yuri! It's a bit amusing, down to the very T. I may even say I'm almost impressed with the lengths you've gone."

Lips curl into a smile as the deed had been done, eyes meeting Yuri's own but they don't speak, lips don't break.

The Archon merely watched the child be silenced, for as far as he's concerned, he didn't have a care in the world about this- instead, his gaze lingered somewhere else.

Thoughtful. How could this end up in the future?

[22:54] Jianyu's satisfaction removed weight from his heart quite a bit, though it wouldn't mean that Yuri was happy of doing what he had to do. Disgusted with himself, perhaps. But... it's what was required of him, wasn't it? To be at the side of the one he loved. To stay together. To be happy.

For now he'd try to collect his thoughts while keeping himself at the Shengese's side.

Horrified by his own actions.
