Vanessa Helsing, distant relative of famous vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing, is resurrected only to find that vampires have taken over the world.
A cross between Blade, the Walking Dead, and others, this show stumbles around aimlessly for the first 5-6 episodes. Through much of it I was totally confused as to what was going on. I've never seen so many people run to danger, or stand and be eaten. I just do not get it. There are far better shows to spend your time on. Watch at your own risk.
I have read many bad reviews and wonder did they even watch whole show or just few first episodes? It has slow start, yes, but as it progress so does intensity in later episodes. Full of action, surviving, betrayal and in last few eps plot twists. Acting is good, backstory solid and evolving. FX not so great, but there isn't need for many of them. All in all, wont be greatest of all time, but very good show. Not classical vampire story, which is good, I saw a tone of that. If you like this genre you'll ignore all bad reviews, watch it yourself and than judge it. But don't make same mistake as others, watch whole show, cause it does get better on later episodes. I'm hoping for season 2.
