Reasoning: Chara has been the first FSSJ so she knows the power of a super saiyan is like by just a large margin. And now, she's seen Fon turn super saiyan from only watching someone get robbed. Now Chara wanted to do that for herself but she just couldn't find the right moment to do so.

Moment: Hollows have come to interrupt another scene! Everyone fights but as avoidant as Chara is before she does the same, she watches as Fon and the others fight one of the menos. However, this one gets stronger and had the look of hunger. It defeats all of them and looks to feast on most of them. Chara wasn't liking the sight of her friends soon to be killed and eaten. It didn't sit right with her.

TL;DR: Pila is "about" to eat everyone. Especially someone like Tooba and Fon that she was really close with.
