Penny is bad at dogging

Alexithymiaa: -Steph was in the process of writing her eye doctor appointment on the fridge calendar which held all of her scheduling things. Once it was up, she glanced down at Penny who was standing at her feet doing the tap dance. "Alright alright, come on." SHe told her, walking to the back door to pull it open, letting her outside followed by the other two doggies because everyone likes outside. As soon as they were out, she pulled the door closed, giving a little shiver since it was still pretty chilly.-
Covet: Felix was chilling on the couch with the other dogs, and groaned when Nugget flopped off the couch and scramble waddled to the door, tongue hanging out of his mouth. " You shivering over there? Want me to start up a fire?" He asked getting up, needing to stretch a little bit, then whined when he couldn't stretch his other arm just yet. " How many more weeks of this. I'm tired of braces."
Alexithymiaa: "A fire would be nice actually. The temperature dropped a lot more than I thought it was going to considering how nice it was the other day." She said with a frown, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning back against the wall. "Did you talk to your physical therapist about that?"-
Covet: "It's this damn cold front from up north. It's bringing in a lot of mist and shit too, and for some reason my shoulder is hurting worse because of it, Does your knee do that when the weather shifts?" He asked her then shook his head, "No, But I will after my check up before Spring Break. " He said to her then went about one handing the fire building and starting process.
Alexithymiaa: "Mhmmm. Every single time the weather changes any sort of way, my knee aches. That's why I usually sit with ice because the ice sort of feels like it stablizes the temperature or something. I don't know, but it helps." She turned to glance outside, seeing Penny jumping in and out of the little river. "This dog, I swear." She pulled the door open, leaning her head outside to yell. "Penny!" As soon as the dog heard her, she ran out, taking off across the yard excitedly. "I don't know how she's still going by the end of the day."-
Covet: "I'm pretty sure the Ice just numbs the nerves, Red." He said with a laugh. "It's not even a normal pain pain, it's this dull achey bullshit, that I wish I could just inject icy hot into the joint to make it go away." He said, then laughed, " She's a small dog with a lot of energy.. it's her breed. Just be thankful she's not as smart as Gordon and as energetic. I can trust Nugget, he's lazy as fuck.
Alexithymiaa: "Trust me, I know. My knee feels that way more often than not, especially this past week." She pushed her glasses up on her face, shaking her head and starting over to stand in front of the fire. "I frequently tell her that she's lucky she's cute. Actually, I say that to you a lot too."-
Covet: "Are you comparing my cuteness to that of the dog?" He asked her with furrowed brows.
Alexithymiaa: "Uhhh...." SHe trailed off, looking at his face. "Actually, yeah. But to be fair, when I saw her at the shelter I went home and cried because she was the cutest thing I'd ever seen and I didnt think I could have her. I literally cried over her cuteness. If anything, this is a compliment to you."-
Covet: "I'm totally flattered and amused that you felt the need to explain it like I was going to be offended or something." He said with a smirk. "But to be fair. You've probably done that to all of these guys... hence why you had to bring them home. The exception being the ones other people got you."
Alexithymiaa: "I...." She trailed off, glancing around at the scattered cats around the room. "... well not all of them. Alfred is actually from a pet store, and Bryan helped me sneak him into the house because my dad hates cats. And.... Harvey I originally adopted because I felt bad no one wanted the pudgy kitty." She looked around again, spotting Hugo watching from afar as usual. "Hugo was my resident old man. You know how I feel about the senior animals. So I definitely didnt cry over all of them."-
Covet: "So if you cried over Penny's cuteness enough to bring her home.. is that how you finally decided you needed me too?" He asked with a cheeky grin.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't think that's quite how our story went, but sure. If I remember correctly, I wanted to rip your head off for a good portion of the first couple months I knew you." She heard the faint sound of tapping on the glass, turning around to see Gordon waiting at the door. "Look how good he is." Walking over, she pulled the door open for him, but he just turned and took off back into the yard. "...or not."-
Covet: "Mantis Lady... Thank you for not eating it after we had sex." He said giving her a concerned stare, " Well yeah but that's because you didn't really know me... I was the obnoxious pet that had to grow on you. Those exist those"

Alexithymiaa: "No... I'm pretty sure after we had sex I was convinced you were also sleeping with Jade. Good times." She said with a roll of her eyes, not wanting to remember that bitch. "I think you're still growing on me. You haven't stopped growing." She looked down as Gordon came running back over, barking at her and then taking off again. "That's the first time I've heard him bark since he came home. What's going on with you?" SHe asked as she stepped outside to follow him.-
Covet: "Yeah.. our first crazy bitch." He said with a sigh and a shake of his head, then smirked, " Yes, that's exactly what a guy likes to hear." He said to her, then looked at the dog, "Isn't that supposed to be him alerting to something?" He asked following in tow.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know, I've never had a Lassie I've only ever had a Derpy." She shot back as she followed the dog, watching him bark and race over to the edge of the lake. As she walked up to where he was standing, she spotted Penny in the lake paddling around in circles with her little head bobbing up and down above the water. "What the fuck? PENNY!"-
Covet: "Aww, poor derpy dogs." He said then furrowed his brow where Penny was bobbing, He whistled out for her trying to get her to come back to the edge of the lake. "Penny, Get back over here."
Alexithymiaa: "Like I said, only a Derpy." She grumbled, cupping her hands around her mouth to yell. "Penny! Treats!" When the dog was altogether unresponsive to their calls and just continued swimming in circles, she shook her head. "It's freezing. She can't be in there." She leaned over, picking at the laces of her platform boots and beginning to pull them off. "I'm going to kick her ass."-
Covet: "You can't go out there either, You'll freeze your ass off." He said, then just started walking out there not caring about his chucks because he probably had a few pairs of them, "Holy monkey balls, it's cold out here." He said getitng about up to his knees before stopping, trying to call her again. "Penny Come on!"
Alexithymiaa: "And you won't?" She yelled at him as he walked into the water, standing on the ground in just her socks. "I'm the lifeguard, remember?" She asked him, shaking her head and starting off wading into the water to step up next to him. "And you only have one arm. I can't believe this. She's never done this before." She started to wade out further until the water came up to her chin, pushing off the bottom and beginning to tread water as she neared the paddling dog. "Get over here, you dumbass."-
Covet: "No... and I don't need two arms to swim." He said watching her, his arms crossed as if that was going to help with the chills, "It's a good thing I have a fire going on inside already. It will be easier to warm up."
Alexithymiaa: "No, but you need two arms to grab her stupid ass." She said as she pulled the dog into her side, holding her tightly so she couldn't escape. "Definitely no cookies for you. NO." She yelled as she swam in until she could touch the bottom, smacking Penny's butt. Her teeth were chattering in her head. "Man... I thought it was cold before..."-
Covet: Felix walked out with them then put his arm around her, Get your boots, c'mon we're all going in." He said looking around for all the dogs, giving another whistle.
Alexithymiaa: -She huddled in close to him as they walked out of the water, leaning down to pick up her boots from the grass. "Remind me to look into fencing companies tomorrow." She grumbled, watching the dogs run to the back door.-
Covet: "Yeah I can do that." He said then went into the bedroom since the dogs were at the other door, so that he could go get a towel for both Steph and Penny, opening up the back door for everyone to come in, and bent over to Stop Penny, grabbing her by her collar."No you stop right there." He said then gave both towels to Steph since it'd be hard for him to hold her and dry her off at the same time.
Alexithymiaa: -She took the towels from him, pulling one around herself even if it wasnt doing much while she was still wearing her wet clothes. She leaned down with the other towel, rubbing it over Penny to get the bulk of her, dry. "I can't even begin to express how angry I am at this stupid dog right now."-
Covet: "Do they have behavior training for dogs? Cause if so, she could go to doggy school everyday to be better trained like Gordon. I'd say that Nugget could go too, but he's too lazy to get into trouble."
Alexithymiaa: "Of course they do. And I'll look into that tomorrow also. I don't know why I never did. I guess she never did anything that pissed me off this much except that one time she ran out into the middle of the street and Ash almost died in traffic trying to catch her. But in hind sight, she didnt try hard enough." She rubbed the towel over the dogs log ears until she was just damp. "Stick her in front of the fire."-
Covet: "You say that like she's going to stay there..." He said then went to sit down on the floor so he wasn't bent over still holding onto her, still using a towel to keep trying to dry her off. " I think she might have been trying to do you a favor back then... Just saying."
Alexithymiaa: "I was too busy lying to myself to notice." She said with a roll of her eyes, beginning to pull off her own wet clothes and wrapping the towel around herself. She walked over to sit down on the floor with him in front of the fire, trying to warm up before bed.-
