The phone verification can be bypassed by just assigning a "role" to new user (yehey!),
which means you no longer need to go thru with it or even need a phone (yes! yes! go on!),
but, of course, we do have standards in our server you need to meet to avail of this "exemption". (bummer! lol)
The reason for this "strict requirements" is to keep out two members making so many fake accounts here in nSaneForum.com.
Blame them for this tough requirements as they forced all members in discord to vote on this restriction.
In the beginning, everyone was welcomed including anonymous spammers and trolls but when they start blackmailing other legit members by their harvested info against them and trying to track their whereabouts then that is another level of insanity we cannot tolerate anymore.

The most basics (requirements) are that you need to be a VIP/Veteran in nSaneForum.com "and" should be a registered member here before 2017. (note the "and" there as it is not an "or")
Even though you recently just became a VIP/Veteran but just registered a year ago (2018), you are not allowed to become a member in that server (nSane Discord Server).
There are "other" special exemptions of course, like being registered just before 2014 but still a normal member here (not VIP/Veteran in nSaneForum.com), regardless of post counts and likes, is considered a "reliable user" there in discord for the reason he is "a very old member" here in nSaneForum.com.

Anyways, unless you can prove in "other ways" you are not one of them, like a skill level, like being a gamer/twitter/reddit user with registered account before 2017, or other ways, then I am sorry you do not meet our requirements to become part of our server.

I express how thankful I am for your interest and curiosity to our "nSane Discord Server" but there is nothing there that you won't find it here in this community forum.
So if you want something like software resources, knowledge on reverse engineering, hacking or whatever interest you may have, there are far better other medium that offer guides and tutorials to you.
Sometimes other member help other member's needs/problem/trouble but it is voluntary and not encourage! Be very grateful if they do so!
This server is not a "status symbol" for elites or wannabees,
This is just a medium to those who want to be friends with old timers and old folks mature enough to handle any conversation without involving "too much ego trip" and "narcissistic bragging".
It is just a "hangout for cool and level-headed guys" who wants to talk about anything without restriction and censorship.

What matter most to us "is not to win conversations and disputes but rather sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas without risking to lose friendships." In that way, when we share our lives, knowledge, skills, experiences and opinions to other members we encourage growth and promote a productive way of living life. What we are saying, we no longer limit ourselves to just talking software but also hobbies and "other things besides software/hardware."
We also serve as a medium to protect, promote and collaborate with other software communities to encourage growth and cooperation between these communities. For us, "there should be no competition between software communities, we are all BTW mostly a member of one another so why compete with each other?"
nSane Discord Server is not the only community which has this role but we are one of them that serves as a "glue" and gateway to other communities, so being "friendly, mature and diplomatic (with guns lol just kidding!)" is a must in our community.
Hopefully, this satisfy you and everyone's curiosity about the purpose of our nSane Discord Server.
Again, we are not a "call center helpdesk" or a "virtual assistant" for your pc troubles and software needs.
We are not a "status symbol" you need to have in your life.
We are just a simple, normal community of "cool and level headed guys mature enough to talk about anything without censorship and restrictions."
