7. [box]OOC: Personally I find the said user's RPing practice, that being climate-control rescorinations of RL World Cups with no IC connection, to be unacceptable. Even less so when those RPs were done on the grounds of 'lacking time' - that does not make up for a poor practice that runs counter to what users would expect in RPs considered original in the forum.
8.
9. Luck may be luck, of course, and I love my cohosts so. That's how NSS works! But if multiple users (myself included) get screwed over in qualification stage where said RPer had committed to these RPs....and if one also hears and witnesses of said user's excessive celebrations and laughing at runner-ups' expense over gains made from them, I'm sure you would understand the anger too.
10.
11. Thus, without a regret or hesitation, I have exercised my right to repatriate Lester O'Reagan, a Quebecois national, from his duties with Huelavian NT post-95 cycle with three-weeks notice, and have made my decision with him as appropriate as I wish to disassociate with said user. /fin.[/box]

13. IC:
14.
15. The final whistle had been whistled, and thus marked the beginning of the End.
16.
17. Lester O'Reagan, the Quebecois manager of Huelavian national team, saw his time expire on the pitch. He had already decided to resign at the end of the World Cup 95 cycle, after completing his two-cycle contract. He had achieved plenty, obtaining two qualifications to follow what had been expected of him, and in some ways the exceeding legacy of his predecessor-skipped-twice, Leonardo Conavacio, but had come away empty inside too. The decision had been made early, quickly and with little time wasted.
18.
19. He went back to Quebec, almost unceremoniously, within hours after his side's elimination at the knockout rounds of the World Cup. He wasted little time along the way, not even being present for the post-match team photo, as he knew that spending too much time with his assistants and players would have him think otherwise. He, after all, lacked mental fortitude, and had to resort to replace it with relatability, something that he had in spades after a long playing career that would see him secure a couple of caps as a Quebecois international. This, presumably, had drawn favours with the Huelavian crowd that wanted to win at all cost, even if it would involve questionable conduct and practices.
20.
21. Not that all of this would matter anymore. His managerial career was over, and he was happy to let it go. He had seen great 'successes' of his own, and could have secured a longer future seeking domestic opportunities, but deep underneath he had seen practices unbecoming of footballers among those he had managed, but had managed to stay quiet for his own sake as well. Questions of mental fortitude once again, huh. Affected by those circumstances, and what would become quick divorce between him and his wife, Lester had even considered resigning from it mid-cycle, but had decided to play out the remainder of his managerial contract, perhaps to unexpected success.
22.
23. The return home turned out to be a lot more straightforward procedure than expected. Upon arrival at the Catherine III International Airport on a short-haul flight from Chromia, he was welcomed by half-dozen policemen who had greeted him with a very welcoming look you would not always get from them. With a luggage suitcase on his right arm, and left hand containing a leather briefcase he had carried around since start of his management career with Montreal City, Lester O'Reagan gave himself into the police of charges he had let them willingly know and 'tip off' weeks in advance.
24.
25. In next three weeks he would find himself quite comfortably in police custody. His personal items were confiscated and without internet access, but the generous treatment were maintained by what he had brought. Having given a clearance, Lester would be sent to a safehouse provided by the police out in the unspecified country. Yet, even there he could not exactly find his peace. Confined to an one-bedroom house, with security present and barbed wires surrounding the property, he was not allowed to leave, at least not until the trial. Feeling stuck, he tried his part to struggled to scroll through internet, and even apply to remote job postings, he would be given quick email responses that his profile, that of a stateless citizen under the blacklist, was nonexistent. Apparently his name or existence was now under damnatio memoriae or something. lol.
26.
27. Then came the realisation that Lester forgot his heart medication back in Joongyeong. It was stored in the suitcase, which the police had kept it alongside the files and everything else, and he was not going to be able to retrieve it. Drat, thought the now-disgraced manager. This might be it.
28.
29. Three days later, Lester O'Reagan was dead.
30.
31. It was around three in the morning when a thump was felt. In most parts of this country this would not have been noticed until several days later, but the sound of his fall was loud enough to be heard by a neighbour, who then called the ambulance. The ambulance came within fifteen minutes, medics doing their best to save his heart and brain from failing, but they would be notified that no hospital in 200 kilometre radius were willing to admit O'Reagan.
32.
33. It was unfortunate really because the reasons themselves varied - some couldn't due to lack of capacity, while a few had to refuse due to the reasons they couldn't specify, and the rest simply did not receive the call due to being swarmed by a minor explosion at a local music festival. Oy vey. With no other option to do, and the ambulance being asked by the hospitals to make their way to the explosion site, they went back, dropped him back in his living room sofa, and went away.
