  1. [02:18] Ro asks, "Kalina, want to come watch me teachthe Kitsune?"
  2. [02:18] Kalina Lovain asks, "Teach her what?"
  3. [02:18] Ro says, "To use Shadows."
  4. [02:18] Kalina Lovain says, "Mm."
  5. [02:20] Ro says, "I worry about the inner workings of it all."
  6. [02:30] Yoshiko Taiyang asks, "Are we doing it here?"
  7. [02:31] Ro asks, "Outside is night, yeah?"
  8. [02:31] Ro says, "It's better to practice in a place that is an issue."
  9. [02:31] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "It should be."
  10. [02:31] Ro says, "Alright, let's go outside."
  11. [02:31] Ro says, "You can come if you want, Kalina."
  12. [02:35] "Yeah, right here should be fine. The light of the flames and the shadows of the night is a good way of doing things. Tell me, how good are you at controlling your mana to begin with?"
  13.
  14. A single finger towards the shadows as he started to manipulate his mana into the shadows, only to form it into his own will with the help of a single crystal. It was his only cheating way.
  15.
  16. It would form against his fingers, and the entire of it all just formed to make a little copy.
  17.
  18. "It starts with your will, and your mana, if you can do that? Then you can handle it."
  19. (Ro)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. [02:39] "I.. agree." She looked around. The warm feeling of the light was perfect for something that dealt with shadows. Anywhere else would have to be completely dark with a single light if it was going to be better than this. "U-Uh..! I'll show you." Hopefully she didn't cry if the off-chance came that she failed.
  22.
  23. A quick snap of her finger and flash of dark sparkles came from her fingers. The kitsune didn't use any type of weaponry to use her magic. Only her palms and fingers. She pulled out a single poppylus from the snap that had been created from mere illusions. She let it fall out of her hands and with another snap? It'd poof out of existence.
  24.
  25. "I-Is... that good? I think that's you were going for."
  26. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [02:41] "The Metaphysical plane was good, but you should focus it further into the shadows itself. No need to cry over it, but practice. The world of shadows is your oyster."
  30.
  31. A little push in the right direction, all before he would take a single amount of shadows to come through and hold on to it. It was just a simple small ball.
  32.
  33. Presenting it towards Yoshiko, Ro would just give the most simple of smiles to come across.
  34.
  35. "Take this ball, and just manipulate it properly to be at anything you want it to be. The world of shadows is needed and proper."
  36. (Ro)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [02:54] She wasn't going to cry over it this time but she felt like each time she didn't cry over something the more it benefitted her. Crying wasn't going to solve every situation but it did come in handy sometimes. However, when Ro said that was.. sorta in the right direction, she was at least contempt with that. "Okay..."
  40.
  41. But now the path was set. With a bit of directional help an item to help her on the way. An orb/ball that was about the same size as her palm. She accepted it in her grasp and gave it a minute's glance before she processed what the Teraphim said to her.
  42.
  43. "Anything... I want it to be?" she inquired, giving the ball another glance after looking up at Ro. Her brows bent slightly as she thought and pondered of what it could be manipulated into. many decisions, but she finally got something that would be pretty cool for this lesson she was getting.
  44.
  45. She held the ball in her palm as she was doing prior. A mere moment of silence before a light snap was processed from her fingers thanks to her other hand. Mana was transferred into her palm and a whiteish glow began to override the ball and its form.
  46.
  47. "Manipulate it... into...!"
  48.
  49. Her eyes closed and she could feel the shape of the ball being changed. Even though it was a mere illusion, the senses were still be tampered with. Sight and touch.
  50.
  51. Now, it was in a semi-perfect form of what she could've manipulated it into.
  52.
  53. It was...
  54.
  55. "You.. I tried to change it into you, Ro."
  56. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [03:00] And they were successful in making a miniature version of the Teraphim in all it's entirety. From the foot down to the torso then to the head and hair that was there. It was a proper, dark figure that was there and Yoshiko did it perfectly.
  60.
  61. He smiled, widely.
  62.
  63. If it was anything, it was an artistic way of handling everything that was to come. Shadow magi were often to be known to be artful with it. However, the question wasn't just that.
  64.
  65. It was how they can manipulate it into a practical skill.
  66.
  67. "I like it. You really, really did good in all this entirely. This is a good, proper step and you can focus it to be better. You can make things properly."
  68.
  69. "I approve of it."
  70. (Ro)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73.
  74. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  75.
  76. [03:08] The kitsune waited on her approval and when she got it? She was satisfied with the results of her teacher. A faint beam appeared on her features as she was praised and approved of her illusionary form of Ro. Now it was time to continue. "Great... If I can make things properly..."
  77.
  78. She looked at the figure for a moment. A snap let it disperse back into the ball shape that it had been before. She rested her hand next to her side and awaited her next task in gaining some insight on how to manipulate and conjure up shadows.
  79.
  80. "...then I can do whatever is next. R-Right?"
  81. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [03:10] {Item} You drop Mana Amnesia.
  85. [03:10] {Item} You picked up Mana Amnesia. Dropped by Yoshiko Taiyang. .
  86. [03:12] "Right, your next quest then would be to be able to manipulate the shadows of others, to make it into your own little will and do simple things like tricks and other sorts of things."
  87.
  88. "That's how I learned it, anyway."
  89.
  90. After it was said and done, Ro would let the ball of shadow go back into the shadows itself. Only to then move his hand over to pat the little Taiyang over the head and avoid the ears in the process. Shadows were something of a nice touch, but not something to worry about.
  91.
  92. But it's easy.
  93.
  94. "Go to it, kiddo. Don't tell people. I don't want you in trouble knowing I am your teacher."
  95. (Ro)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98.
  99. [03:24] Own little will? Simple tricks is something she could do. After all, she was a kitsune and they were more attuned to illusion much like they were to fire. Even they weren't attuned to it mechanically... But! Seeing as they could do tricks like placing her items and materials within illusionary planes for easier carry seeing as her kimono wasn't the best for doing such things, she though she had this perfectly.
  100.
  101. All she needed to do now was perform it.
  102.
  103. "A-Alright... This part I think I got down perfectly.. I've done all the time daily. Especially when I go travelling," she states, referring to her illusionary magic with her carrying.
  104.
  105. "If they... knew that I don't think I could go over there anymore. I'm not really one to fight for a side but I don't think I'd fight someone I have relations to. Especially in friendship.
  106.
  107. Yoshiko averted her gaze for a moment. Even though now wasn't the time to think of such a thing, it was something that caught her mind off guard. Oh well. She focused on the lesson.
  108.
  109. She had a great idea to let her mind go wild. This would be in relation to what she already did daily; day by day.
  110.
  111. She flashed a light smile after being patted and took the ball into her hand and lifted it up. Her small finger tips gripping the ball and hanging it in the air before suddenly...
  112.
  113. ...she'd let it go.
  114.
  115. Just before it hit the ground. The kitsune would snap once more. A whiteish illusionary portal with black outlines appeared where the ball would disappear into it and appear where Yoshiko's hand was earlier, only to repeat what it had done. Falling in a constant motion. This would be the cause of her illusionary mana manipulating that of the ball. However, if Yoshiko were snap her fingers again, it'd return to her palm. In such the simplest movement.
  116.
  117. "How was that... for a trick?"
  118. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  120.
  121. [03:25] Own little will? Simple tricks is something she could do. After all, she was a kitsune and they were more attuned to illusion much like they were to fire. Even they weren't attuned to it mechanically... But! Seeing as they could do tricks like placing her items and materials within illusionary planes for easier carry seeing as her kimono wasn't the best for doing such things, she though she had this perfectly.
  122.
  123. All she needed to do now was perform it.
  124.
  125. "A-Alright... This part I think I got down perfectly.. I've done all the time daily. Especially when I go travelling," she states, referring to her illusionary magic with her carrying.
  126.
  127. "If they... knew that I don't think I could go over there anymore. I'm not really one to fight for a side but I don't think I'd fight someone I have relations to. Especially in friendship."
  128.
  129. Yoshiko averted her gaze for a moment. Even though now wasn't the time to think of such a thing, it was something that caught her mind off guard. Oh well. She focused on the lesson.
  130.
  131. She had a great idea to let her mind go wild. This would be in relation to what she already did daily; day by day.
  132.
  133. She flashed a light smile after being patted and took the ball into her hand and lifted it up. Her small finger tips gripping the ball and hanging it in the air before suddenly...
  134.
  135. ...she'd let it go.
  136.
  138.
  139. "How was that... for a trick?"
  140. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  141. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  142.
  143. [03:28] This was stellar.
  144.
  145. The lesson that was proving to be proper was coming across, and with every single little trick they were preforming, they were becoming better and intuned with the shadows that were there.
  146.
  147. When he saw the ball, he only moved to look over at it and consider the possibilities. The way that they were doing it and the density. The more dense it was, the possible ability of it being more damaging.
  148.
  149. "It is proper, little Kitsune."
  150.
  151. "And you should make sure that your silence is kept to you. The bes tthings are learned in the dark, where people truly operate in."
  152.
  153. A single pat afterwards.
  154.
  155. Then he peers at Kalina, wondering why for a second, only to go back to Yoshiko.
  156.
  157. "Proper, but you need more confidence little one. You have amazing potential, and I only ask of you to let the shadows help you see it further."
  158.
  159. "You're special, never forget it."
  160. (Ro)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162. [03:41] There were a ton of possible combinations that Yoshiko could've done with the ball. However, the one she chose was just to her liking and so the same for Ro. Seeing as his approval from the pat on her head implied this.
  163.
  164. Now it was time to see what other special things could've been done. He mentioned keeping her silence in to herself. At first, she didn't know what that meant exactly. Then she thought she had got it when she let it ponder more in her curious kitsune mind.
  165.
  166. "I think.. that'd fit me best. I do hope that Jiuweihu will accept this. The only light I really accept is hers when she shines it over me. But now, I will have to take a moment to learn in the dark."
  167.
  168. Where they truly operated...
  169.
  170. As they continued with the lesson. Yoshiko came to realize that Ro was right on here needing more confidence. Honestly, if she didn't know Ro from her constant visits here and living quarters, she probably would've attempted to help her friends.
  171.
  172. But... it wasn't in her right to.
  173.
  174. "That's... what Biru said, too." Hearing all this praise felt good in all honesty. She deserved it but she also needed to prove this by continuing what she had learned.
  175.
  176. It was another moment to test out another attempt at showing him her will and manipulation capabilities.
  177.
  178. Yoshiko would take the ball and hold it in one hand. Taking her illusionary mana from her palms to create a makeshift pillar with another to match. A thread connected to the ball to hang it on one side while another thread appeared. Light would cast across the real ball and form a shadow of the ball.
  179.
  180. With this... something would just happen.
  181.
  182. The kitsune reached and lifted the ball a bit up, only to let it go and connect with it's shadowy clone. It would form a chain reaction where they could clack back and forth like a mini-toy. Something to enjoy and a bit of a trick that she hasn't tried before.
  183.
  184. But! Kitsunes were pretty smart in creativity. "How's this?"
  185. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
  186. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. [03:43] "Even the brightest lights of Jiuweihu needed something of the dark to show. To work in the night while also being able to be flexible in the day is what makes a true magi, true. To keep a balance, if you will."
  189.
  190. Though, upon seeing how they were making more efforts with their shadows and illusions, Ro could only see that they were improving rapidly like the genius Yoshiko was. The Taiyang family was something of renown with every Kitsune having some special about them.
  191.
  192. This was no different, and it was proven with the creation of the shadowy clone and the chain reactions of the mini toy.
  193.
  194. "Keep practicing."
  195.
  196. "This is good, and it can only be better. We will meet in due time."
  197. (Ro)
  198. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  199. [03:48] Honestly. Yoshiko hasn't come across any other kitsune and to find relation in a race that wasn't even a beastkin felt surprisingly satisfying. Maybe it was the teacher-student bond that was being made from a bit of time to create something new. Thanks to illusionary magic.
  200.
  201. "I-I think... Jiuweihu would approve of your words." She had a glance of a smile before letting her magic disperse from her palms and back into the ball that created all this creativity with the shadows.
  202.
  203. Now she could understand why the magic was so similar to illusions. There was a lot of practice that needed to be done but this was a step in the right direction. She only needed to continue going on this path.
  204.
  205. For now, it was time for a break and await Ro for his next lesson on this creative magic line.
  206. (Yoshiko Taiyang)
