  1. Well, this was interesting. Sure, she had fought him before, for her life in Wychwood, before doing what she had to him. But, she needed a better read on his abilities. So, here they were on the training field.
  2.
  3. "Ok so, I need to know a couple of things about you. Obviously, that means we're fighting. So. Get ready I suppose"
  4. (Cyano Conablum)
  5. Kyrian had basically been like those afriad childs who always clung to their mothers clothing whenever they went out. Because thats how he felt inside the walls of Danarium. He felt weak.
  6.
  7. Something that he never felt before. He had felt defenseless, yes. But never weak. And now she means that the two will fight? Was this a joke? Because Kyrian certainly could tell. He would stare at Cyano with confusion and fear as he didn't konw how to respond to her. He just went over to the bench and sat down with fear ridden in his very eyes
  8.
  9. (Kyrian Hayes)
  10. Cyano would sigh. The kid was far too skittish here. She was going to need to toughen him up a bit, if he was going to be of any use. Cyano would think for a moment on the best way to approach the situation. She didn't intend to hurt the kid, but she did want to see what he could do. So, probably best to frame it as training. Which, technically it was, even without framing.
  11.
  12. "No need to be scared kid. Think of this like training, alright. You uh, you got a weapon? If not, I probably have something here I can loan you?"
  13.
  14. Cyano would offer him a weapon if he didn't have one. She wanted him to be on at least somewhat equal grounds with her. So, wouldn't be too fair if she had a sword and he was fighting with his fists. Of course, if he didn't take it, she would just switch out for her gauntlets. It wasn't any skin off her back after all.
  15. (Cyano Conablum)
  16. It had clicked now, she was ordering him just to train with her. Something that him and his brothers do.
  17.
  18. But that scared him even more.
  19.
  20. Quick to launch himself off the bench, Kyrian rushed infront of Cyano in an hasty pace before revealing his axe that he used to battle her. Before long his energy shroud would soon engulf him as he swung out his axe infront of him to defend himself.
  21.
  22. 'Will I get anymore nightmares if I disappoint her?' he thought scarly
  23.
  24. (Kyrian Hayes)
  25. Well, that was definitely quick. But, he seemed to be a quick kid. Definitely didn't waste any time, that was for certain. As such, neither would Cyano. She would easily sidestep his axe, before using the opening it gave her to start in on a barrage of attacks. It might have been training but she wouldn't go too easy on him.
  26.
  27. While she fought and trained, several other plans formed in her mind. She would need to teach him some things as well. Nothing too complicated, but she needed the kid to stop being so skittish. It would probably help if she took the kid over to the rosecourt after, there were plenty of books there to teach him with after all
  28. (Cyano Conablum)
  29. Going in with a swift jab towards her mid-section, he wuld find himself lunging into nothing but air as she danced towards the side, throwing him off balance. But that wouldn't be the end of him as he would spin on the ball of his feet and deliever another attack. But what he expected was totally different from what was actually happening.
  30.
  31. As Kyrian now faced Cyano, he would see her with her arms raised and now going in for her own barrage of attacks. Which threw him off for a bit while he threw his body around to try an get some leverage. . . and surprisingly. It did. It was the first time that he ever dodged Cyanos attacks! Before he barely stood a chance, but now! Now she didn't even draw a single drop of blood.
  32.
  33. Allowing himself to boost his moral, he smiled as this bout reminded him of the older days when his brothers and he would fight together for fun. But was this battle for fun? Or was she just trying to hulimate him again. . . But this time. . . infront of people
  34.
  35. Shaking his head violently from side to side. He couldn't let his thoughts get the best of him, he was much more afraid of what she would do to him if he were to give her a bad fight.
  36.
  37. BANG!
  38.
  39. Kyrian had managed to parry her attack with his very own throwing her off balance, giving him a perfect oppurtunity to attack. In which he did as he would once again launch forward and attempt to deliever a striking blow with the dull head of his axe. Aiming straight for her gut
  40. (Kyrian Hayes)
  41. Cyano would find her attacks hitting nothing, as the kid somehow managed to move out of the way. But, she was smart. She would swing her sword off to the side, hoping to catch him, and, indeed she would. But rather then knocking him away, she would be met with a horrendous sound, and enough force to knock her off guard.
  42.
  43. BANG!
  44.
  45. Cyano's moment of vulnerability would force her to give up her current barage, nod move on to the defensive. Fortunately for her, as the child again began his attacks, it would be an easy enough thing for her to simply step away.
  46.
  47. With the kid now open, she would deliver a kick, followed by a quick downward slash. There would be no mercy in it, as she brought it down with all her might.
  48. (Cyano Conablum)
  49. As Kyrian lunged forward. All he would be hitting was nothing but soft, sweet, air. It was interesting to see that at every single chance that he had to get a clean hit. He had somehow missed. It was surprising as she was the only one that he had encoutnered before to do that. But before he knew it. . .
  50.
  51. Oof!
  52.
  53. Suddenly being dropped to his knees and having the wind knocked out of him. He would clutch at his gut and bend over as he stared in his lap. The corners of his lips perked up a bit. The feeling of a friendly fight was amazing to him. The feeling was undescrible. It brought back so many memories of his childhood with his brothers. But now. . . now things were different. It was as if everyone had reached cross roads. Spliting the three of them apart as if they were never a single unit before. A team. A family.
  54.
  55. But now, they are all traveling their own paths. Finding their own goals now. It's just funny how fast they all have grown up. He just hoped that the other two were okay.
  56.
  57. Plop
  58.
  59. Tears were starting to form at his eyes as his smile had became wider. His weapon was now on the floor as he had given up on the training that they had as he wanted to stay in his little thoughts of his brothers and himself. But the more that he tried to keep in those thoughts. The better he felt. Before long, he was laughing happily as he cried on the ground. The pain from Cyano's blow was suddenly fading as he rejoiced at his own thoughts.
  60.
  61. But then suddenly. He was crying. Weeping outloud as he sat there. It was a weird sight to see a kid battling with an older lady to be suddenly sitting on the floor and laughing with tears as if he heard an hysterical joke. To crying utter and bitter tears.
  62.
  63. But these tears weren't for any what-so-ever reason tears. They were tears he needed to let out. The pain. The suffering. The fear that he held in. He needed to release that all go. So he did, but as he done so. He he had noticed that people were looking at him.
  64.
  65. Staring at him.
  66.
  67. Judging him. . . .
  68.
  69. Before long, he would scream out towards the crowd. "STOP LOOKING AT MEEE!" he bellowed.
  70.
  71. It was a weird and awkwards sight indeed. But Kyrian just couldn't stop crying as he wept.
  72.
  73. He wept and he wept and he wept as the realization of life had hit him. It was ment to be this way. He was growing older and older by the day, and there was nothing from stopping that. His brothers. They were too, and the bunch of them couldn't do nothing to stop it. . . .
  74.
  75. And before long. . . They all would die. . . .
  76.
  77. Kyrian would continue to cry. Before coming to a close as the truth had hit him hard. . . .
  78.
  79. This was just the one thing that he had to accept. That he was bound to become seperated from his family. That he was bound to get old, and later die. .
  80. (Kyrian Hayes)
  81. With that single swing, she seemed to have the kid down. training was over. She had to admit, the kid wasn't bad, just a bit rough. That could be worked on though, pretty quickly too. He was already somewhat good, so he would need to be refined.
  82.
  83. Cyano would head over to the bench, and sit down for a moment. It actually had been rather intense, so she needed to catch her breath. Though, maybe she shouldn't have. As, Kyrian would immediately begin... well, no other way to say it, freaking out.
  84.
  85. Cyano would sit and watch it for a bit. Not, really knowing what to do about it. She couldn't exactly be tough on the kid, she had just shoved what was probably 200 pounds of metal down onto his ribs. But, she couldn't just leave him like that. What to do...
  86.
  87. Hm, Cyano would stand up and walk over. She wasn't quite sure what to say, so she would simply hold her hand out for him to help him self up with. If he took it, she would lead Kyrian over to the bench to sit down, while she pondered on what to do exactly
  88. (Cyano Conablum)
  89. Kyrian would continue to weep but would later stop crying. His was the oldest of his three brothers. He needed to show that he was going to be strong for them, and thats what he was going to do.
  90.
  91. Wiping his eyes from his face. He would stand once more before Cyano, staring her in the eye. It would seem if something had sparked inside of Kyrian. As if something burned bright inside of him. As if he had changed.
  92.
  93. "I'm fine. . . now. . . What's next" he would say. His voice had changed. It was weak at first but after putting some bass in his voice. He seemed to be fine afterwards. It definatly wasnt like before, shaking each time he was in public. But now it was calm and collective. Balanced
  94. (Kyrian Hayes)
  95. So, that seemed to have worked. And she didn't have to do much for it. That was always good. But, now there was the question... What to do with him now. She had a slight idea, though ultimately it was up to him.
  96.
  97. "Well, your choice. Your going to need clothes. Probably. And, your going to need to learn to read. So, whichever you choose"
  98. (Cyano Conablum)
  99. "Uh. . . what are wrong with the clothes I wear?" he said as he checked himself.
  100.
  101. He saw as his clothes were tattered from head to toe. He was also listed with marks and bruises. So he saw what she had meant.
  102.
  103. With a small nod. Kyrian would say "Uhh. . . clothes first? Not know of Reading. . ."
  104. (Kyrian Hayes)
  105. After being walking towards the market with Cyano. It would seem if the older woman had fun with dressing him up. He could tell because in the end. The way that she looked at him is if she had made a master piece. Which made him feel weird. But a bit better in ways.
  106.
  107. Before long, Kyiran would follow her from the market to another place that he never visited. It seemed to be a castle. But what laid in side was wonders that he couldn't even comprehend. He was awestruck. As he glanced around.
  108.
  109. But suddenly he was shoved into a room that was lined up with cabinets that contianed books. This was a disappointment to him as he wanted to stay out there and just glare at everything. Maybe he could touch the things and see what they were made of. Kyrian never was so glorified before. It was just something about the interior design that would draw you in and would never let you go.
  110.
  111. So of course he was disappointed. But he would make a note to come back and revisit this place sometime.
  112.
  113. "So. . . books? What are those?" he would ask as he began to look aronud the less fantastic room
  114. (Kyrian Hayes)
  115. After being walking towards the market with Cyano. It would seem if the older woman had fun with dressing him up. He could tell because in the end. The way that she looked at him is if she had made a master piece. Which made him feel weird. But a bit better in ways.
  116.
  117. Before long, Kyiran would follow her from the market to another place that he never visited. It seemed to be a castle. But what laid in side was wonders that he couldn't even comprehend. He was awestruck. As he glanced around.
  118.
  120.
  121. So of course he was disappointed. But he would make a note to come back and revisit this place sometime.
  122.
  123. "So. . . books? What are those?" he would ask as he began to look aronud the less fantastic room
  124. (Kyrian Hayes)
  125. Hm, she didn't really see what was wrong with what she did there. She hadn't wanted to, but meh. It didn't matter. What mattered was getting this over with. She had stuff to do and the like.
  126.
  127. "Alright. I understand. I'll try a bit harder next time to ask them nicely first. Joking aside, I do get it. So uh, questions. No, not really. Unless you can get daphne to meet with me one of these days. Besides that, nah."
  128.
  129. With that, Cyano would turn her head to look at the bookshelves. She needed to figure out what book she would have Kyrian read from first. And, that wasn't exactly something easy to figure out.
  130. (Cyano Conablum)
  131. [13:19:47] Cyano Conablum: Ok so, now that that's all done...
  132. [13:19:47] Kyrian Hayes: Hm?
  133. [13:20:38] Cyano Conablum: <*looks through the bookshelf*>
  134. [13:21:29] Kyrian Hayes: Wha are these things?
  135. [13:21:29] Kyrian Hayes: *moces to pick one up*
  136. [13:21:29] Cyano Conablum: books. hold on a second
  137. [13:22:20] Cyano Conablum: <*hands kyrian the book, the magic bunny*>
  138. [13:23:12] Cyano Conablum: Books are things people write. They have all sorts of information in them, ranging from history, to magic, to books like this
  139. [13:24:03] Cyano Conablum: This, is a story. Someone somewhere got an idea, and wrote it down to tell others.
  140. [13:24:54] Kyrian Hayes: Ahhh . . . .
  141. [13:24:54] Kyrian Hayes: Thats interesting
  142. [13:24:54] Cyano Conablum: To be honest, this particular one is pretty simple. But, I don't know how well you can read
  143. [13:25:45] Cyano Conablum: There's one in here, probably interest you more then any of the others. It's about Ookami's, like you
  144. [13:26:36] Kyrian Hayes: Ookamis?!
  145. [13:26:36] Kyrian Hayes: Where?!
  146. [13:27:28] Cyano Conablum: In the book, let me find this...
  147. [13:29:10] Cyano Conablum: So, there are a number of books. Ookami-light, Ookami Wolves - howl 2, stuff like that
  148. [13:31:44] Cyano Conablum: <*hands Kyrian the book 'Howl One - Ookami'*>
  149. [13:32:35] Cyano Conablum: That book right there, will probably appeal to you. But, don't take it to heart
  150. [13:32:35] Kyrian Hayes: Uhh. . . okay?
  151. [13:33:26] Kyrian Hayes: *accepts the book from Cyano*
  152. [13:33:26] Cyano Conablum: It's written by another Ookami, but one that chose to hate everyone, rather then try to fit in
  153. [13:35:08] Cyano Conablum: Plus, it was written... probably hundreds of years ago. A bad time for Ookami. Not like today
  154. [13:36:00] Kyrian Hayes: Really? . . . Why not?
  155. [13:36:51] Cyano Conablum: Long time ago, Ookami were treated as subservient. Really bad stuff. But, times got better. And that's why people like the one we just saw is able to get into things like knighthood
  156. [13:36:51] Cyano Conablum: So, read that. It's a nice bit of history.
  157. [13:39:24] Kyrian Hayes: Sub-ser what?
  158. [13:39:24] Cyano Conablum: Subservient. It means lesser.
  159. [13:39:24] Cyano Conablum: It's not a good way to see people
  160. [13:41:07] Kyrian Hayes: Subservient. . . lesser. . Okay
  161. [13:41:07] Kyrian Hayes: But. . . why not?
  162. [13:41:07] Kyrian Hayes: Why were they treated that way?
  163. [13:42:49] Cyano Conablum: Honestly, I would think stupidity. People just aren't smart sometimes. And that leads to some pretty horrid things being done
  164. [13:44:32] Kyrian Hayes: *opens the book to only close it minutes later*
  165. [13:44:32] Kyrian Hayes: I don't understand it. . . .
  166. [13:45:23] Cyano Conablum: Didn't think so. But you want to don't you?
  167. [13:47:56] Kyrian Hayes: A little. . . .
  168. [13:48:48] Cyano Conablum: Ok, so, it's a bit hard to teach someone how to read. But, I guess one way is to start with the basic letters. When you recognize those, and what sounds they make, then it'll be easier for you to understand whole written words
  169. [13:49:39] Kyrian Hayes: Ooh okay. . . So everyone has to remember this?
  170. [13:50:30] Cyano Conablum: Well, it isn't a requirement no. But, it makes things way better for you. A lot easier.
  171. [13:57:20] Kyrian Hayes: Alot easier? How so? why would I need to read anyway? Just for stories?
  172. [13:59:53] Cyano Conablum: No, reading can be used for a lot more. If someone sends you a letter, you need to be able read it. And books, they do more then tell stories. You can learn all sorts of things, like new magic.
  173. [14:01:36] Kyrian Hayes: New magic? hmm. . . .
  174. [14:01:36] Kyrian Hayes: Interesting
  175. [14:02:27] Kyrian Hayes: So do you think that you could help me?
  176. [14:02:27] Kyrian Hayes: Read that is. . .
  177. [14:02:27] Kyrian Hayes: I know that you have a child and all. . .
  178. [14:05:52] Cyano Conablum: I can indeed. I do, you two have met. You uh, might want to apologize to her by the way
  179. [14:05:52] Kyrian Hayes: Uh. . . why?
  180. [14:07:34] Cyano Conablum: Oh right, she's the little blue haired girl. From what she says, you hurt her.
  181. [14:07:34] Kyrian Hayes: Hmm. . . . . .Oh!
  182. [14:08:25] Cyano Conablum: I can't say for sure, but, might want to to stop any problems with me teaching you to read
  183. [14:08:25] Kyrian Hayes: Pfft. . .
  184. [14:08:25] Kyrian Hayes: *Crosses his arms*
  185. [14:08:25] Kyrian Hayes: If anything, she hurt me
  186. [14:08:25] Cyano Conablum: Hm, well, first lesson. When it comes to little girls, it's always your fault. Even when it's not.
  187. [14:09:16] Kyrian Hayes: *looks off to the side* I was just having a bad day so I decided to see how well she could fight
  188. [14:09:16] Kyrian Hayes: Butt! Butt!
  189. [14:09:16] Kyrian Hayes: *Pouts even more* Thats not fair
  190. [14:10:08] Cyano Conablum: Give it... a couple of years. And then it will be fair.
  191. [14:10:08] Kyrian Hayes: Hmph. . . . alright
  192. [14:10:08] Kyrian Hayes: So. . . what now?
  193. [14:10:59] Cyano Conablum: Well, why don't we start with... letters. There is a piece of paper on that desk. Why don't you write down every letter you know
  194. [14:11:50] Kyrian Hayes: Ahh okay. . .
  195. [14:11:50] Kyrian Hayes: *Walks over to the nearby desk*
  196. [14:12:41] Kyrian Hayes: *Writes down the word * Subservient
  197. [14:14:24] Kyrian Hayes: *Writes it down as he says it*
  198. [14:14:24] Cyano Conablum: <*watches over his shoulder*>
  199. [14:15:15] Kyrian Hayes: *The word is scratched into the paper with his claws*
  200. [14:15:15] Kyrian Hayes: Thats about it . . . .
  201. [14:15:15] Cyano Conablum: Hmm...
  202. [14:17:48] Cyano Conablum: Try writing your name, with this
  203. [14:17:48] Cyano Conablum: <*hands Kyrian the pen*>
  204. [14:17:48] Kyrian Hayes: Uhh. . . okay
  205. [14:18:40] Kyrian Hayes: *Takes the pen from Cyano and looks at it irregularly*
  206. [14:18:40] Kyrian Hayes: Uhh. . . How do I use this?
  207. [14:18:40] Cyano Conablum: Ok, so at the tip, you'll notice it's got ink on it. Use that, and it will write
  208. [14:20:22] Kyrian Hayes: *Positions the pen so he could use the ink part of the pen to write with*
  209. [14:21:13] Kyrian Hayes: *Looks at Cyano confused* How do I use the ink?
  210. [14:22:04] Cyano Conablum: Just put the pen to the paper, and draw out the letters the same way you did with your claws
  211. [14:25:29] Kyrian Hayes: *accidently puts the pen against the paper to hard and snaps the tip*
  212. [14:25:29] Kyrian Hayes: Uh-oh
  213. [14:26:20] Kyrian Hayes: *Looks at Cyano, im sorry
  214. [14:27:12] Cyano Conablum: Ok, it is fine. I have another one here.
  215. [14:27:12] Cyano Conablum: <*hands Kyrian her spare pen*>
  216. [14:28:03] Kyrian Hayes: *Kyrian attempts the same feat but softier and manages to write the word out perfectly*
  217. [14:28:54] Cyano Conablum: That... That is actually really good!
  218. [14:28:54] Kyrian Hayes: *Hopes get up* Really?!
  219. [14:29:45] Cyano Conablum: Oh yeah! You did very well on it
  220. [14:30:36] Kyrian Hayes: I did? Well then. . .
  221. [14:31:28] Cyano Conablum: You obviously have a ways to go, but this is a really good start
  222. [14:31:28] Kyrian Hayes: Yay!
  223. [14:31:28] Kyrian Hayes: *coughs*
  224. [14:31:28] Kyrian Hayes: I mean
  225. [14:32:19] Kyrian Hayes: Its nothing
  226. [14:32:19] Cyano Conablum: Hey, be excited. I met someone around your age a little bit ago. Wouldn't even try learning
  227. [14:33:10] Cyano Conablum: But uh, ok. <*writes the alphabet down on a piece of paper*>
  228. [14:33:10] Cyano Conablum: Ok, next, I want you to copy this. And then tell me what they mean
  229. [14:34:01] Cyano Conablum: <*sets the paper down in front of Kyrian*>
  230. [14:34:52] Kyrian Hayes: Uh. . . .
  231. [14:34:52] Kyrian Hayes: Aren't these like
  232. [14:34:52] Kyrian Hayes: letters?
  233. [14:34:52] Kyrian Hayes: How do I uh. . . tell them how they sound like
  234. [14:45:07] Cyano Conablum: No no, tell me if you know how they sound. If you don't, we can work on that. If you do, and you'll have to prove you do, then we move on
  235. [14:47:40] Kyrian Hayes: Uhh. . . *Looks at the letters and thinks about his own name*
  236. [14:48:32] Kyrian Hayes: *Kyrian works on the freee paper and wirtes down his name perfectly*
  237. Kyrian Hayes: *Looking back and forth between the papaer Cyano wrote and the one hes been using. He would take his time doing the work. Struggling to write it down properly. Before long, he would come complete with an exact copy of Cyano's work*
  238. [15:10:43] Cyano Conablum: Woah...
  239. [15:10:43] Cyano Conablum: Alright, you are definitely ready to move on
  240. [15:12:25] Kyrian Hayes: Really?
  241. [15:12:25] Kyrian Hayes: Wow. . .
  242. [15:12:25] Kyrian Hayes: well then
  243. [15:13:16] Cyano Conablum: Your doing pretty impressively kid
  244. [15:13:16] Kyrian Hayes: I am?
  245. [15:13:16] Cyano Conablum: You just managed to copy that perfectly. Trust me
  246. Cyano Conablum: Alright, final thing for the day. That apology I mentioned later. You are going to write a letter. It'll help you in the long run, and give you a way to see just how well your going to do
  247. [15:14:08] Cyano Conablum: After that, we're going to stop. We don't want you burned out
  248. [15:14:59] Kyrian Hayes: A letter? and okay. . .
  249. [15:14:59] Cyano Conablum: Yep. Here's some paper. Write an apology. If you need help, feel free to ask
  250. [15:15:50] Cyano Conablum: If you don't know, a letter is basically something you write for a particular person, then send to them through the mail'
  251. [15:15:50] Kyrian Hayes: Okay. . . . um. How do I write an apology letter?
  252. [15:15:50] Kyrian Hayes: and okay
  253. [15:16:41] Cyano Conablum: Start with the persons name. In this case, Darjeeling Conablum. You write that in the upper left hand corner, with an apostrophe at the end
  254. [15:16:41] Cyano Conablum: Which, looks like this
  255. [15:16:41] Cyano Conablum: <*draws a small apostrophe on the paper he copied the letters onto*>
  256. Kyrian would take a deep breath in before he decided how to write his letter. He wasn't the best at apologizing but he would try. If only that would allow for him to get stronger and better. Then so be it.
  257.
  258. Following Cyano's directions, he would list Darjeeling Conablum's name on the top left corner and put the two dots that Cyano had refered to as an apostrophe. Kyrian would then go down a few lines and start with.
  259.
  260. "I am sorry for hurting you. You just met me at the wrong time. Hope we can be friends."
  261.
  262. Kyrian would then fold up the letter and write his name on the top
  263.
  264. He would then turn to Cyano to confirm if he had done it correctly
  265. (Kyrian Hayes)
  266. [15:40:35] Kyrian Hayes: Alright
  267. [15:40:35] Kyrian Hayes: Lets go
