- “Speedroids are Tier -5” - WingalBrave
- Speedroids! Maybe you've heard of them, maybe not. It doesn't matter though, because I present to you a complete guide on practically every engine and tech that has been discovered so far. I plan on keeping it updated as the game progresses so that it'll be a reliable source of information for a long time. By the end of this guide, you’ll have learned a lot about the deck and may even decide to pick it up. Fasten your seatbelts because this is going to be a very long read!
- WHAT THE DECK DOES
- There are lots of ways to play Speedroids, ranging from Cosmic Blazar Turbo to going 2nd KaijuMagnet. What all the builds have in common is the wide variety of Synchro Monsters and the spamming of said Synchro Monsters. They are somewhat resilient, and can play through an incorrectly-timed handtrap or two thanks to the new support (Ash or Imperm on Rubber Band Shooter can still end your turn, though). Speedroids are one of the most fun decks I've ever played, mainly because of the insane amount of variety in your combos and deckbuilding. I don't think I've ever seen 2 Speedroid lists that are exactly the same, and that's part of what makes them interesting (at least to me): Since there's no right way to play them, you can play them however you want! However, in order to build a deck, you need to know what the cards do, so let's move on to the next section.
- THE CARDS
- There's a lot of these, since there are so many possible techs and engines you can include in your Deck. That's the unfortunate part about there not being a correct way to play Speedroids: You have so many possible decklists, it would be a bad idea to just show 1 specific variant, so I'll be going over every engine and extender that has been discovered. Let's start off with:
- The Main Deck, ft. our Speedroids, our Generics, and our Engines
- The Speedroids: https://pastebin.com/BbwfZ0K6
- The Generics: https://pastebin.com/WAzkAtXj
- The Engines: https://pastebin.com/snpFxBqU
- With the Main Deck covered, we can finally start looking at the most important part of the Deck (and the longest. There’s a lot of possibilities here, and you’d need at least a 40 card Extra to fit them all).
- The Extra Deck: https://pastebin.com/FqsTXbah
- A LONG PARAGRAPH ABOUT RUBBER BAND SHOOTER
- Learning how to use Rubber Band Shooter’s effect wisely is one of the hardest parts of the Deck, right behind actually building the thing and deciding how far to extend. Depending on your situation, you have the ability to search almost any Speedroid. However, the element of chance makes your searching uncertain.
- Do not fear! I said there was consistent Terrortop access, and there is! In fact, there is consistent access to any Level 4 or lower Speedroid in your Deck aside from those whose effects only trigger on Normal Summon!
- Simply reveal Yoyo and whatever Speedroid you need, usually Terrortop. If Yoyo is added to your hand, you can use Rubber Band Shooter’s effect to Normal Summon it and Special Summon the other Speedroid you searched from the GY. If Yoyo is sent to the GY, then you just Normal Summon whatever you wanted to search.
- You can also use Rubber Band Shooter to search for extenders to make Auroradon, or if you opened Terrortop. Just banish a Level 6 to reveal Taketomborg and CarTurbo; no matter the result, you still get a free body on the board. If you already used one of their effects or have one in hand, just banish a Level 8 to reveal Rubberband Plane and whichever lv3 you don't have.
- I can’t go over every possibility, but those are your main two options for consistent searching. If you’re feeling lucky, you can always just search any two monsters and hope you get the one you want. Make sure to include a variety of Levels in your Extra Deck so you have more utility.
- SAMPLE DECKS
- Now that we've covered most of the possible cards you can run, here's some sample decklists for the main Speedroid builds that you can either steal or repurpose for your own usage. I usually update these at the end of each month, and there's room for improvement in all of them so feel free to mess around.
- - Battlewasp (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=5911522)
- - Blazar Turbo (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=5763921)
- - Kaiju Magnet (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=5763925)
- - Simorgh (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=6223122)
- - Synchro Spam (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=7056421)
- - Windwitch (https://www.duelingbook.com/deck?id=6356213)
- SAMPLE COMBOS
- There are way more combos than I posted here, but these are some basic starter combos that can all be improved upon depending on the contents of your hand and your build. Very few of them rely on Shooter's RNG, which is very nice.

- CONCLUSION
- And there you have it! (Probably) Every Speedroid engine and tech that has been discovered, compiled in a single document! I was going to put a section for sample combos, but it would have been too long to post. If you want to know more about them, just ask. The best place to do that is probably the Speedroid Discord server (https://discord.gg/Fwfj6ZU); it's fairly active and we have a lot of discussion about combos, deckbuilding, techs, and more. Like I said earlier, I'll be updating this regularly, probably after each set and banlist are released. I hope you enjoyed the guide!
