  1. =PRE-SEASON
  2.
  3. Each manager starts the season with an empty team and 100,000 Credits (C.100,000), used initially to bid on players and later to purchase equipment, training, and care for their team.
  4.
  5. On draft night, each player will be made available for auction in a random order, with each player going to the highest bidder. Any players not bid on will be put to one side, and the drafting process will be repeated with these players, the order once again randomised. Players who are not bid on in the second draft will not be made available again.
  6.
  7. =A MATCH
  8.
  9. On a weekly basis, each team play against another team. These matches will be in randomly-selected stadia that vary wildly in size, scope, and terrain, with managers being made aware of the conditions of the arena in advance. A manager can enter into a given match any number of their players. The matches that follow are simple bouts to the death, both teams fighting until one team is out of living players.
  10.
  11. =MAINTAINING THE TEAM
  12.
  13. Players repeatedly fielded will grow fatigued. On their second consecutive match, a player takes -1 to all rolls due to fatigue. This fatigue penalty is doubled with every following consecutive match. Each week spent out of the match reduces fatigue by one step.
  14.
  15. At the end of a match, all players owned by the manager of the losing team are restored to life at no cost. Fatalities suffered by the winning team can be resurrected for the cost of C.1000. With the exception of death, all injuries sustained in battle are healed before the next match.
  16.
  17. =IMPROVING THE TEAM
  18.
  19. Throughout the season, you can purchase equipment for your team to take into battle, which costs Credits. In addition, you can also have a player undergo treatments and training sessions, which take up time as well as money. Each player only has six days free a week to work with, and at least three of them must remain free to remove fatigue from matches. In addition, if all six days are taken up, the player's fatigue increases by one step.
  20.
  21. And, if you find your team is lacking something or you think a player has given all they can to the team, you can trade players (and equipment) with other teams upon mutual agreement. However, trades cannot be reversed directly - at least one party must trade something more in the second trade.
  22.
  23. =MAKING MONEY
  24.
  25. There are clearly lots of ways to spend money, but the way to make that money back is through sponsorship deals. Sponsorship contracts are freely available, and will require some effort on your part to earn. For instance, you may be required to use only weapons made by the sponsor, and if you don't meet this requirement you don't get a paycheck. Contracts are not mutually exclusive unless they specify as such.
  26.
  27. =WINNING THE CUP
  28.
  29. At the end of the season, the two teams with the most match victories will face off in a winner-take-all finale.
