“Well, Caster? Have you learned anything from the sword I sent you?”
The response the chief of police got from the Heroic Spirit on the other end of the telephone sounded exasperated.
“To hell with it all. This thing’s not a Noble Phantasm; it’s just a fancy-lookin’ sword. I do like the design, though. Can I keep it?”
The chief had sent Dumas the ornamental sword that Saber had left in the police station. The chief had never expected Saber to abandon his weapon and prioritize flight. So much so that, when he had returned to his office and seen the sword still on his desk, he had suspected some sort of trap.
“It’s technically evidence. I can’t give it away as I please.”
“As usual, you’re harder than an over-boiled egg!”
