  1. Originating from the same multiverse as the "Ouroboros", the person that came to be known as Nox wasn't born. After the Goddess' Demise and her body being sealed away, the other Deities who ruled in her place began to formulate ideas on how to curb the ever-expanding "Darkness" throughout both Terra and all the other worlds within that multiverse. To that end, they crafted their idea of a foolproof plan: By creating a vessel to carry the "Darkness" of all entities, they could prevent the spread entirely. To this end, they created the perfect vessel, in the form of a Nameless child. They cast the Nameless Child onto another planet far from Terra so that he could be raised in peace and so that the "Darkness" he held would never become anything more than a subtle reminder of his state as a vessel. While in theory, their idea *was* foolproof, reality was not so kind. The foster family that raised the Nameless Child, subsequently naming him Nox, was murdered by a roving group of bandits. As a result, Nox's peaceful demeanor cracked, killing all of the bandits with unrestrained fury and immense darkness. In turn, the Gods repeated the process, resetting the vessel's form and trying again. They repeated this process time and time again, before eventually, they found that the "Awakening" of the vessel was a predetermined fate, drawn by the immense "Darkness" held within it. In their last attempt to prevent the vessel from gaining too much power and destroying that which the Goddess created, they wished to extract the "Darkness" only to find that it had merged with the vessel in a way that was far beyond anything they had created themselves, bringing forth the literal incarnation of Darkness. Not wanting the vessel to rampage, they cast him off into the void in hopes that he would never appear again.

  3. Following an unknown amount of time, Nox came to forget his name and even his identity, eventually becoming a mere mass of Darkness. Eventually, he came upon a new being, one similar to him yet so very different. Calling themselves SJ, they asked Nox if he wished to live, to be free. Tired of his aimless existence, he begged for freedom, which resulted in SJ sending Nox crashing through Interdimensional barrier after Interdimensional barrier, eventually crossing into the current universe and Arkias. Having forgotten his true name and existence, he subconsciously adopted SJ's name and appearance, using them as he travels in this new world.
