Episode 4: Signing up for the Hydra Cup

It's been a good 2 months since Jalen and Marth began their journey...The 2 of them were driving to Central Togle off the outskirts of the city where their ranch resides. "I know you're only 2 months old, but you've been showing acceptable growths in your stats as far as I'm concerned..." Jalen speaks up as they wait in the intersection under the red light. "Your POW and DEF are pretty good for my standards, ACC is decent, but can be a bit higher...everything else, we still need to work on."

The green light comes on as he begin to drive. "Admittedly..." He frowns while adjusting his hat.. "We need more money which I spent a bit more than needed on food and other essentials."

"(Part of it is my own fault..I enjoy eating so much..)" Marth sighs as he pat his belly, he's been eating so much fruits and veggies to build muscle after every workout...

The building they drive up to have the symbol of a Disc Stone on the front with the letters AMBA on it in Silver letters, which stands for Archania Monster Battle Association. There's quite a lot of people inside the building for each rank as they sign up for battles as far as 5 months away.

Jalen and Marth get out of the car and make their way to the building after parking on the side of it. They walk around and enter it and look around, the interior is dark blue walls with silver fancy curtains hanging down from the ceilings with the royal symbol of the Archania royal family, The Lowells. Jalen doesn't really care for them tho as he look for the Rank E section. He sees a stand and walk over to it and grab a brochure.

Jalen, for his part is wearing a dark red long coat with a chain hanging off of the collar with the coat reaching almost to the ground. His pants are black and tight on him with a fancy belt that have a Garu buckle on it and black gym shoes on. His black hat covers his medium-long spiky hair and parts of his eyes, giving him a rather scary exterior to others judging by how many people and their monsters gave him a wide berth.

"......Hydra Cup...That's two days from now.." He place the brochure back and nods at Marth. "Let's go register..."

His Garu follows him through the crowd, keeping up with him even tho Jalen occasionally look down to make sure he's with him. As they get closer to the registering counter, the 2 of them spots 2 other trainers and their monsters there.

The first one was a tall red-haired guy who had on a bright red shirt and white shorts with sandals on as well red shades. He looked like someone who cares a lot about his appearances. Besides him is a very tall green scaled giant that Jalen knows of called a Scalie, a Golem mixed with the DNA of a Zuum...or a Dino depending on which region you reside in.

The next guy was someone with a blue leather jacket and matching jeans on with blue hair that's tied up into a ponytail of some-sort. Whether as his friend seems to have a smile on and waving to females, this guy was more stoic and kept to himself with a scowl with his monster, a Hare mixed with Tiger DNA called a Blue Hare

"Felix, bro..liven up!"The red hair waved around to the females around them with their own monsters. "We're in the presence of these lovely ladies and you're more worried about the competition?"

"Sylvain, you idiot.." Felix facepalms.. "Me and Mercial spent over 7 months of training and are ready to prove ourselves... And you're too damn busy worrying about showing off to these females?"

"Bruh..." Sylvain frowns and shakes his head. "One of these days, you gonna find yourself a nice woman to settle down with and it's gonna make your life complete..." Felix scoffs and crosses his arms as he look away. "As if, Like I need a woman..."

Somewhere in Demacia, a pink-haired woman sneezed while watching her Nidhogg(Dragon/Naga) fly through levitating hoops on fire to improve its speed.

Back within Togle...Jalen walk up to the counter and enlist his name and Marth's as the other 2 trainers argue. with Marth looking over and gauging their own monsters...He look down at Marth and frowns "Pay them no mind...We'll worry about them when we get home.."

Marth nods and the 2 of them was about to head out when.. "Yo, excuse me!"

"oh, for the love of god..." A part of Jalen wanted to keep going, but even tho he's a stoic guy, he's not rude all the time as he stops and turn to face the guy who called him, and to his internal annoyance, it was the redhair who walk up to him and place a hand on his shoulder, instantly making Jalen widen his eyes in sheer anger and begin to shake a bit.

"Yo, I got a question.." He points to where a group of females are chatting, one of them is a woman with bright-pink hair...and very shy looking. as Felix scowls and walk up to the 2 guys. "So, those hotties over there...who do you think I shou-!!" Felix had to blink in shock as Sylvain's monster gets mad and stomps over to his trainer's side...cause Jalen just gave him a harsh stomach blow in front of everyone.

As Sylvain slouches over in pain, the females scream in shock as Jalen turn to them and scream. "SHUT UP!!!" He soon stalk over there, Mind you that Marth is currently glaring at Durag, Sylvain's monster, ready to brawl...as Jalen pick the woman Sylvain pointed out by her waist and walk back and place her right before him.
"Wh-what.." She look around with a scared look as Jalen glares at her and point to Sylvain. "This guy wanted to speak to you..speak to him and do whatever you do to flirt.."

He scowls at Marth. "Don't waste your breath with them, let's bounce." He adjust his hat and walk off with his Garu walking behind him as many others gossip about him in a negative manner. Sylvain groans and stand up as he stares at Jalen's back.

"Da-damnit...the fuck is his problem?!?" He struggles to stand on his feet with Durag placing his giant hand on his back to keep him steady... "Th-thanks, man..." Sylvain look up and nods "Dude hit harder than my own brother...damn.."

"Ar-Are you ok?!?" The girl consoles him as she look at him, Sylvain blink with a blank face before clearing his throat and try to look as cool as possible. "Me? Pfft, I'm fine..I have abs of steel and that punch did nothing to me!"

"Is-Is that true?" Sylvain nods with a smug look. "You know, we can always test them out ourselves.." She blushes as she look down... "I-I.." "What's your name, cutie?"

"O-Olivia Strauss..."

"(Leave it to him to turn a painful moment to him trying to get laid..)" Felix sweatdrops with a frown as he watches this exchange..

Back with Jalen in the car as he drives away with marth....He sighs as he stops at a red-light.
"...Sorry you saw me like that..I just fucking hate being touched.."

"(Well, I understand, just try and not punch everyone.)" Marth thought in his head as they head back home to the ranch. After 15 mins, he parked the car at his ranch and got out along with Marth as they head to the house.

"We got our first tourney in 2 days.." He breath in and sighs.. "We're gonna win this...free."
