1Y3BH's Adventures in Wonderland Notes

This is based on both my own recollections and compilations by anonymous Japanese folks (especially Masaki's lines) with some corrections. This was the August 10th night performance - note that certain elements like the friend fleets, the bunny, and even the guest stars seem to vary from day to day. still needs some proofreading and translation work.

the circus consisted mostly of rope-based acrobatics and dancers using roller skates to take advantage of the amphitheater's odd stage layout. not going to really go into detail for most of that - basically it's typical acrobatic twirly stuff until the combat starts, at which point dancers variously express attacks along with lighting/sound by throwing hoops, lunging and skating motions, or (in the case of the shipgirls), pretending to shoot their pew pew DD guns or throwing their hands out while firing like the anime.

masaki introduces himself to the audience:
ようこぞ、私の海へ。私は磨鎖鬼、深海磨鎖鬼。艦の鎖を磨く者。未来と今、そして過去は鎖のように繋がった世界。私はそれを深海の海から見守っている。今日は君たちに深海の真実をお見せしよう。真実は近づければ辛く悔しいものかもしれないね。
Welcome to my sea. I am Masaki, the Abyssal Chained Clown Demon. I am the one who keeps (lit. "polish") the chains of warships*. The world's future and present, and the past, are all connected like chains. I watch over these chains from the abyss of the sea. Today, I shall show all of you the truth of the abyss. The closer one gets to the truth, the more painful and bitter it may be.
* he's explaining the kanji here - Abyssal Keeper of Chains? If the symbolism here isn't obvious already, he watches over anchors which sank to the bottom of the sea along with their ships.

warspite introduces herself but realizes she's been separated from the fleet and runs off. yamashiro, michishio, and shigure (played by their voice actors) are similarly split from the fleet and find themselves in the sea. michishio finds a trumpet and shows it to yamashiro, which she gives to shig (reference to previous event?) michishio spots Warspite (with bunny ears) running off, recognized  and runs after her, and yamashiro/shig are forced to follow .

Masaki: ウサギが紛れ込んだのかい。ちょうどいい。さあ、彼女たちを深海のパーティーに招待しよう。真実を知るということは、悲しい現実を知るということ。忘れないということ
Has the hare lost its way? Perfect. Now we must invite the girls to our Abyssal party. To learn the truth is to learn the sorrow of reality, to learn things you can't forget.

the shipgirls fight through i-class then tsu-class while pursuing Warspite (who now has rabbit ears), featuring live performances of modorenaino (higuchi tatsuya) and beyond the shore (nakanishi keizo). at this point most of the acrobatics features music straight from the events (previously it was just motifs)

at one point yamashiro runs off and Michi/shig are isolated and nearly defeated, but shig blows the trumpet, calling the sendai-class (costumed dancers, Japan can't clone people yet) who hold back the enemy while they continue.

そうだ。もっと奥へ進むといい。この先は君たちもよく知る海峡だよ。小鬼たちも待ち伏せの用意はできているかい？（imps: キャハハ）良いね。
Good. Advance deeper. What lies ahead is a strait you all know well. Imps, have you made your ambush preparations? (Kyahaha!) Very good.

at this point masaki tells us to go through a strait we're all familiar (surigao). pt imps and then BB Hime appears. they're surrounded, but rest of the nishimura fleet (cosplaying dancers again) arrive and help blast them away

the three MCs manage to cross the strait, chasing Warspite and goaded by Masaki. finally they reach night strait princess (two dancers in a wire sphere, with their long white/black cloaks held by two other dancers). they manage to kill the white princess. black princess is initially devastated but then enraged, and summons reinforcements that nearly defeat them all. but a friend fleet Yahagi, Abukuma, mutsuki, kisaragi 2 of Desdiv6 6 (raiden) arrive. together the two fleets defeat the black princess's fleet and are about to deal the killing blow when time stops. warspite arrives, grabbing a buoy clock and saying she's made it in time, and everything fades to black

final message from misaki:
過去と今、そして未来は繋がっている。山城、時雨、そして満潮、ありがとう。多くの提督たち！ありがとう。未来を託そう。静かな海をいつまでも。私は磨鎖鬼、深海磨鎖鬼。艦の鎖を磨く者。また会おう。さらばだ！
The past and present, and the future, are all connected. Yamashiro, Shigure, and Michishio: thank you. To the many admirals: thank you! We entrust the future, of keeping the seas at peace, to you all. I am Masaki, the Abyssal Chained Clown Demon. I am the one who keeps the chains of warships. Let us meet again. Farewell!
don't ask me what happened to all that stuff about the truth being painful

after doing a live performance of tsukuyomi, the three MCs wake up on the surface under the moon. yamashiro is about to say Fukou dawa (misfortune), but changes her mind and turns to the moon, commenting on how beautiful it is. roll credits
