  1. Hey guys, how’s it goin?
  2.
  3. Now that my Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom Yugi story guide revamp is complete, I got to work on improving the time. In three days, I made six attempts. All six made it to the final mission either ahead of pace or less than five seconds behind. Only one finished with an improvement and even that lost almost two minutes. Yay for the run being consistent? Obelisk the Tormentor has been very good at telling me NO, so much so that if you pay attention to YouTube later today, you will see a compilation from me of all of the Obelisk fights I had last week. It's been a hot minute since I've put such effort into a video. I think I got inspiration from watching Smallant. In any case, I will continue to let Obelisk decide the run this week. Here's to hoping I cut two hours!

  5. I also found myself behind the times on Nintendo 64 emulation. Mupen64plus was last updated more than a year ago. It currently runs Pokemon Puzzle League. Not well, mind you, because I can't find a way to play video on the FMV cutscenes, but the actual gameplay appears to function properly. This is important because the TAS community emulator of choice, Bizhawk, uses Mupen64plus as its Nintendo 64 core, but does not currently run the game. Before yesterday, I had no idea that this was the case. No one told the Bizhawk developers, either. But now they know. So they can get to work on making Pokemon Puzzle League playable. Someday. I think. I hope. I shouldn't hold my breath. That said, I can't find a reliable way to TAS the game so I've lost all motivation to try, at the moment. I'll just train my cursor speed by playing Marathon for a while.

  7. In real life news, I still can't stop listening to pan flute cover songs. They remind me of the type of music I would hear in various visual novels I used to read. They trigger nostalgia in me. Seriously, go find the top cover of Kiss From a Rose on YouTube (the one with YOU ARE NOW WATCHING WHO KILLED CAPTAIN ALEX as the top comment—that's a whole story in and of itself) and tell me that you couldn't imagine hearing that song in that style in a visual novel. It almost makes me want to write my own visual novel just to make use of songs like it. I might have a problem.

  9. Okay, I'll stop burying the lead. I've been unemployed for the past two months thanks to this... situation.. and my employer is not taking me back. Now, I have to look for work to keep my benefits. I think my resume is ready. I'm armed with much more relevant work experience this time around. In any case, my new normal schedule might get disrupted by job interviews before it goes back to my 9-5 working man schedule where I can only reasonably stream three days a week. Keep that in mind.
  10.
  11. That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
