  3. Jagan removed the scouter latched to the side of his face, casting it aside. He slipped his weighted gear off of his wrists, letting them fall to the dirt. They indented the ground slightly. Everything else became silent. Jagan created a world inside of the one he existed in, and he was its only patron. His arms fell to his sides. It appeared as if his eyes were fixated upon the ground, yet.. he was completely spaced out. His energy was climbing, and yet, he was not manipulating it. Soon, it began to roll off of him, and he exerted a pressure of sorts throughout the fallen Destroyer's world.
  4.
  5. It was only for a moment. He snapped out of his trance. It took him several moments for what just transpired to sink in. Jagan shook his head.. he wasn't satisfied. "I have to do this on my own.." the Saiyan glanced over at Salaria and Agatha. "..of course." All I've ever truly had is myself, he thought. A shake of his head dismissed these thoughts. He could not let mortal emotions get the best of him, not now. He tried his hand at this intense focus once again. His arms were slack on either side of him, his shoulders jutted forwards.
  6.
  7. A warm breeze meandered across the rolling plains of the God's domain. It seemed to fit with the natural consistency of the planet, yet.. it appeared out of the ordinary for wind to sweep across the realm as it had. Jagan closed his eyes upon allowing himself to become in tune with the ebb and flow of the world, and once again-- he was whisked back into the universe of his mind. Jagan stood before a long, black gate. The rest of this place was pure white. He looked around, and when he focused his gaze back upon the double doors, a figure sat before them. A grin adorned its ghastly face. It was white, yet, its charcoal-colored outline allowed it to be seen. In fact.. his shape nigh-resembled that of a younger Jagan's, only it was a featureless body with no hair or eyes; only a mouth that only appeared when it grinned.
  8.
  9. <Congratulations, you've made it this far, Jagan.>
  10.
  11. Its voice was almost childish, playful.
  12.
  13. ..It reminded Jagan of his own, as a boy.
  14.
  15. "What are you talking about? Who are you?"
  16.
  17. A gleaming smile.
  18.
  19. "You haven't figured it out yet? Some might consider me God, the Master of the Universe, the Truth. Or, you could even say.. I'm You." A pale, ghostly finger pointed at Jagan.
  20.
  21. The Saiyan simply stood in shock.
  22.
  23. "No, no.. don't do that. Calm yourself. You're almost there. Freak out now and this will all melt away." With these reassuring words, Jagan kept his composure.
  24.
  25. <I'm like your conscience.. this is a part of your mind you've never been able to access, until now. You've always relied on adrenaline, anger, frustration. Not once in your life have you ever considered kicking back and letting your thoughts roam free, huh? You're always on edge. Not good for someone as young as you.>
  26.
  27. He offered a shrug in response. "I've always had to be.. I've always had to be on guard. I've never been anywhere where I couldn't be. But this place.." said Jagan. Truth nodded. <It's different, huh? Nothin' to disturb you here. Land of the Gods. Your mother understands. I'm surprised all your lovey dovey thoughts didn't cloud your concentration.> It smirked, but Jagan did not falter.
  28.
  29. "Yeah, it was hard not to, to say the least.." A chuckle.
  30.
  31. <Here's the deal, bud. I'm gonna take you through this gate here. After that, if you can keep your cool, I'll let you wake up and you'll have what you wanted. If you freak out, well, you'll wake up. But you'll be right back to square one. Let me just remind you that this is nearly eighteen years worth of buildup to get here. You Saiyans are different than everyone else-- you've all gotta go through this little process if your life ever reaches this point. Your mother was the first Saiyan who accomplished it, but she took a shortcut with that whole group thing.. You, however.. this is all you, Jagan. If you can do this now, you've got it in the bag. But if not, you may as well say good bye to ever catching up with your mom or your pops, or even Agatha. Make sense?>
  32.
  33. Jagan took a hard swallow. The words shook him to the core, but once again, he did not allow it to interfere with his ebb and flow. He offered Truth a stern nod. The white figure exposed his gleaming teeth once again, and motioned for Jagan to follow as the gate opened. He took steps towards it without even realizing it. <Welcome to the Truth.>
  34.
  35. Jagan entered.
  36.
  37. So much transpired within that fraction of a second that, if it had been anyone else, if it had been anyone with less conviction, their brain would of been fried from the intake of knowledge. But it was Jagan.. and his entire life, he had strived and endeavored to go higher. To reach greater heights. He had experienced so much throughout his life, but this experience.. it was as if he had lived a millennia of lives. He couldn't even begin to process what took place, but that was not the goal.. he had to endure it. That was the mark of courage and serenity. The true test to gauge whether or not he could step into the realm of Godhood, to tangle with the likes of the deities themselves. A red aura flared around him. His complexion was a light ruby tint. His hair was the same, only a bright crimson. His build was slimmer.
  38.
  39. When he awoke, his eyes opened slowly, as if he had just been birthed into this world. His eyes, too, were a stunning shade of red. He let out a long, heavy sigh, as if he'd been holding his breath the entire time. When he awoke, he was no longer Jagan Tatasou-- a Saiyan warrior, born and raised on Earth, a frightened and ignorant child who merely sought nothing but peace and prosperity in a world that could not exist without chaos.
  40.
  41. When he awoke, new life breathed into him. Only one thing truly remained of his former self at that point in time.
  42.
  43. His name was Jagan.
