Xiao Long Bao's Diary mission #12

Another hot summer day! \(=w=)/ Aaaa.. I really want to go for a vacation!!! But in reality, It’s the contrary..

Today started with a busy day on the tavern. With a new friend, Cecilia-meimei as the waitress, both Elur-meimei and Bao, Elur-meimei at the bartender area while Bao at the kitchen, we do our best to win this war!! (gOAO)g The war of the tavern!!! Somehow, Cecilia-meimei’s way to accept order is interesting. She put it on batches. (=w=)b So it makes Bao work more simple on the kitchen. And somehow, this hectic situation gives Bao some extra energy to cook! \(OwO)/

YEAH!

After the third batch, Bao finally have a time to take a rest and sit at the bar-stool. (/=w=)/ And there’s Kefa-ge~<3 Ufufufu~~! Well, he was asking if Bao is busy or not since he got a mission quest paper on his hand. Well, if it’s to be with Kefa-ge, Bao will leave anything behind~~! Ufufufu! \(=w=)/

…Well of course except Bao’s family.. (=_=)b

Family is number one! ( OAO)/

And so.. Bao, Kefa-ge, and Elur-meimei decided to take the mission! (OwO)b The mission is to help the client search for her grandfather’s workshop for his will. And we should meet at the some café. The client’s name is Elizabeth Crafter. And based on what Bao heard, Crafter is a family name for the maker of Crafter’s Craft. Famous magical item maker, known for their golems and constructs. It seems cool, although Bao don’t understand at all. (O_O)a

At the café, we met our client, a lady who looks like having a PMS every day. (O_O)a She often speak with loud voice and points on vie words. And very annoying. (O_O)a In my opinion.. So the mission is to accompany her to go to her missing grandfather (been 10 or 15 years missing)’s workshop. And find his will. (OAO) Since there might be a secret room on the workshop which he might hide something there. She also keeps on saying that she’s a genius and such and she can find the secret door but need a bodyguard to protect her from the security that might occurs: golems and constructs. (OAO) HO!

But apparently, Miss Elizabeth’s grandfather’s golems seems different than the usual golem, it ticks and clunks. And somehow weak to shock like thunder or electricity. Something named clockwork construct.. (OAO) Ho! And she said the toys are alive too! I wanna see! \(OAO)/ I wanna see!!!

Oh, and I just found out that there is a magical thing named Golem’s Bane Scarab that can help us to get more probabilities on defeating golem, although golem is weak to magic! (OAO) THAT’S NEW!!! COOL!!!

And this Miss Elizabeth keep on saying that we look weak and she want to grab other stronger guys. ( =3=) What’s wrong with this lady.. Phei!

And suddenly, Kefa-ge and Elur-meimei talked about someone who can use electricity. But they seemed a bit.. Restrain their selves. And they stared at Bao. (OAO) HOE? Bao can’t use electricity. And suddenly.. That name just.. Pop out again…

…Miss Selene…

Somehow.. I’m a bit.. Startled hearing it.. So.. Kefa-ge still thinks about her..? ( T_T )

Eh, wait! But Elur-meimei also thinks of her when talking about electricity! So it must be ok. (OwO) Yup! It must be it! That must be it! (OwO)/ So, there’s no reason for Bao to be shocked, right? (=w=)b After all, she’s a part of Kefa-ge’s past right..? Just.. A past.. Right..? (^w^)

But somehow deep inside.. I still feel it’s not.. The past.. (T_T)

So.. Bao and Kefa-ge then go to the guild to check on Miss Selene.. Well, at first, Kefa-ge is the one who talked with her. Bao just wait a bit behind Kefa-ge. AND YOU KNOW WHAT HER FIRST WORD IS JUST WHEN KEFA-GE GREETS HER??? She freakingly threat Kefa-ge!!! (OAO|||)

She just sits there with that ‘Oh I’m so cool’ gesture and say:

‘Close to I and I won’t hesitate to kill you again’

… WHAT???

FREAKING WHAT??? (#=A=)

She’s indeed a freaking cold blooded Mǔgǒu!!! And don’t think you will get away easily like that.. (TAT#) And why the hell even Kefa-ge loved her in the first place???

I don’t get it. (=A=#)

And she also said about Kefa-ge being a spy or something. (=A=) Is she crazy or what?

This time, different from the last time, her sword is noisy! Just like what Elwen-meimei said! (=A=) I’m starting to dislike this person and her sword.. Although Mama and Papa always reminds me not to be rude to person.. (=A=) Since everyone is a customer..

Anddd… Kefa-ge seems a bit difficult to talk to Miss Selene, so Bao decided to talk to her as well.. Although.. I’m not that eager to talk to her.. (=A=#) Someone who threaten your love ones? PHEI!

But.. It reminds me.. Mama always teaches me, if I met someone we don’t like, we still have to introduce ourselves politely, but in a ‘different’ way of speaking. (=w=) Huhuhuhuhu..

I tried to remember how Mama always speak.. And there it goes..

‘Ni Hao! We’ve met before on the gnome mission, but not yet introduce ourselves. My name is Xiao Long Bao. Usually called Bao. But for you, miss, just call me Xiao Long.’

(=w=) Huhuhuhuhu….

Oh you’re such a mean girl, Bao.. Fufufufu…

And I tried to explain the mission as simple as it gets, and her reply is just ‘I don’t care’. I wonder how she can get friends like that. Well.. Maybe there is always some guys who fall for her tricks like Kefa-ge.. ( =3=) PHEI.
Well, she’s also a bit indecisive type of person. Once she said no, a few second later she suddenly joins us. ( =A=) Huh! PHEI!

And she keeps on threatening Kefa-ge.. She even say ‘Don’t get closer than 5 meters’.

HAH?

Who do you think you are? Someone so important to get close to? Or maybe it’s just her trick so Kefa-ge will come closer to her? (=A=#) Do you think Kefa-ge fall for that? HAH!

( ._. ) Suddenly.. My self confidence is gone..

And sooo, we return to the café to meet the others. Suddenly, I realize there’s a big cat! A very big wild cat at Miss Selene’s back! (OAO) CUTE KITTY!

I tried to get close to it, and try to give her the spell like yesterday I give to the horse. I’m interested on how wild cats will react.

…But… Somehow… I’m disappointed.. Although it’s a big wild cat… It already turns into such a tame domestic cat. With the snuggling and purring.. I wonder what have she done to that cat.. Moreover.. How can she do that?? Such beautiful wild animal turn into nothing but a.. Domestic useless cat.. (=A=) Well.. Wonton seems more wild than that big cat.. (=_= ) And I suddenly lost interest to the cat.. PHEI!

Oh, on the cart, Miss Elizabeth hand something that look like some badge.. I’m not used to this kind of badge, so Elur-meimei helped me on using it. (=w=) Elur-meimei is so kind!

And.. That sword is so noisy and keeps on saying ‘KILL’, ‘KILL’, and ‘KILL’… (=A=) Can we scrap the sword? I really want to do it.. Maybe Elwen-meimei will help.. (=w=) Fufufufufu..

And so.. We arrived at the place.. Which turns out very.. Messy.. (=A=|||) We’re not supposed to touch anything and Miss Elizabeth keep on searching for something, but seems she didn’t find it, so she yell and scream to us to help her. Well, we helped her to clean tidy up the room.. We as in Bao-Kefa-ge-and Elur-meimei. Miss Selene? She just stands there. Act like someone so important to do anything.
I wonder how she can get missions with that kind of attitude. Is she that strong, that people go and search for her since she seems often goes on a mission alone? Or she has friends who kind enough to ignore her attitude? (=3=)a If she’s not working.. Then how can she survive in this town? With all those freaking expensive prices? (=A=)a

Well.. Why should Bao care? (=A=)

Then.. After tidying the room, Elur-meimei said that the secret passage was under our feet. And we found out that Miss Elizabeth was usually called Miss Alice by her grandfather.. (OwO) Hoh!

Oh! After looking frustrated and yelling and screaming, which somehow looks like it’s the password, there’s a ticking sound coming near. Turns out it’s a ticking rabbit toy. (OAO) The rabbit then bumped its head to the floor and there’s something written on the floor: ‘WELCOME ALICE’.

And..

And..

And..

…

We’re falling..

Well Bao tried to use a spell to avoid bumping hard to the floor. But apparently, it’s bouncy! \(OwO)/ IT’S FUN!!! Elwen-meimei must like it! \(>w<)/ Too bad, she’s not here.. I kinda missed going on a mission with her.. ( TAT)

After moving from the bouncy rubbery floor, we follow some animated object clockwork cat.. Which grins. (=A=) HOH! CAT! Looks cute! And we go on following the cat! \(OwO)/

Yei yei yei~~ Down the rabbit hole~~ And following a grinning cat~~ Somehow feels like a fairy tale.. (=w=)b

And.. Besides the cat, there are also a lot of toys.. Living and moving toys.. (OAO) WOOOW!!! This is like a.. Wonderland! \(OAO)/

When Miss Alice (I prefer to call her this now (=w=)b) asked the toy where is her grandfather’s will, the ground open and the clockwork cat came out from the ground and shows us the location.. A castle! But seems not fully done. (OAO ) With roses everywhere, some are red, some ware white.

Oh, when I poked the walls giving marks just as Elur-meimei asked me, Kefa-ge asked me if the mark is permanent. When I asked why, he said if it’s permanent, then pity Miss Alice since her precious workshop is ruined.. (O_O)

… Ummm…

Somehow.. I feel a bit hurt.. Although I understand Kefa-ge’s good intention.. But.. I don’t know.. Still feels hurt.. ( ._. ) What’s this..? Feeling.. Blamed..?

I.. Don’t know.. ( ;_; )

Ah! When we get closer to the castle, we found one or two card shaped toys which are broken.. And we keep on going up.. Until we arrived at a door with [Charles Craft's Workshop] on it.. (OAO)

HOH! We’ve arrived?

…But… Why is there a.. Flipping page.. Sound..?

And when Miss Alice opened the door, there’s a scene that is quite horrifying.. A construct doll reading a book on a room full of books, with a skeleton sitting next to it.. And a blood stained knife..

My brain does not understand at all..

But.. Somehow everything becomes clear. Somehow.. This.. Construct doll is Miss Alice’s grandfather’s [will]. It’s a birthday gift for Miss Alice’s 10th birthday, 15 years ago.. Apparently her grandfather can’t come to her birthday and can’t come visit her.. And somehow, Miss Alice said a wish, which he regrets it.. She wanted her grandfather to be dead.

Well.. I won’t blame her.. Kids tend to say things without thinking first.. (T_T)a

Miss Alice turns frustrated and she ordered [gift], the doll, to destroy herself..

It’s a sad scene.. A very sad scene..

Miss Alice keeps on yelling and screaming on how she blamed [gift] and such.. But I’m sure deep inside, all she think is blaming herself for what she’s done..

I’m not sure what happened next, only.. Bao slapped Miss Alice’s face, Elur-meimei somehow took a book, Kefa-ge somehow shot [gift], Miss Selene, as always, doing nothing.

I don’t know what to do.. I keep on talking to Miss Alice without knowing does my words reach her.. But it seems to me.. She looks like crying inside..

Somehow, I’m not sure what happened at the other side, Elur-meimei seemed upset with Kefa-ge.. She even say.. ‘Mr. Eleanor, enjoy your time with Ms. Selene. Both of you indeed fits well’

…

Does she really mean it..?

It means.. Bao is the one.. Who disturbed their relationship..? ( ;_; ) Bao’s fault..?

… It hurts…

…So bad…

…

I realized.. Miss Alice is in somewhat same condition as Bao.. Feels like crying inside.. I can’t helped but hugged her, the way Mama used to hugged Bao when Bao wants to cry..

And.. She cried..

Poor Miss Alice.. She must been waiting for years for her grandfather to come.. Her beloved grandfather.. (T_T)

And it seems the book [gift] been reading all the time is.. Miss Alice’s grandfather’s diary.. With all the stories behind it.. Which shocked Miss Alice.. But at least, she found out the truth.. And she requested some time with [gift].. So we wait.. (=w=)

Finally.. Everything turns out well.. (OwO)

And somehow it seems Miss Selene leaves us behind.. She jumped the bouncing floor, while leaving her cat behind. Well, in the end her cat can jump. But I still think it’s a stupid idea to do that. (#=_=)

I guess I didn’t like her in the end.. ( ._. )

After finished the business on the workshop, we decided to go back to the caravan. And after saying the keyword, the floor elevate. And everything back to normal. (^w^) Somehow, I’m glad it turns out well. With no useless bloodshed.

So.. We go back home.. To Helionster.. While Miss Alice slept on the way.. She must feel relieved now.. (=w=) And [gift] also go back to! It makes me smile just seeing the two of them.. (=w=)b

Oh! Kefa-ge.. Gave me a rose he took from the castle.. (O///O) I never get any flower from anyone before.. (>///<)

But…

DIDN’T HE THE ONE WHO SAID NOT TO RUIN THE WORKSHOP??? (OAO|||)

But still.. I’m happy.. (=///=) I’ll put it on my desk. Tehehehe..

And again.. I reflexely kissed Kefa-ge on the cheek.. In front of everyone..

Oh, when we arrived at the café, Miss Alice asked us if we were vacant during September the 20th. If I’m not mistaken, it’s Miss Alice’s birthday. But before she explains it, she runs, while being chased by [gift]. (^w^)a Well well.. She’s actually cute if she’s true to her heart.. Fufufufu..

Hao! I’ll make sure to vacant that day! And prepare something for her. (=w=)

And so.. With this my adventure ends..

On the way home.. Kefa-ge suddenly said something about properties.. He want to save money to buy a house.. At the 3rd district. Well, it’s quite far from HQ right..? (O_O) Then.. It will be hard for us to meet.. (T_T)a Well.. He said he want to if he can’t go on an adventure anymore..

But he suddenly said.. He remembered Bao want to make a restaurant.. Although Bao said Bao still have another thing to find out first.. Kefa-ge said.. When everything Bao and Kefa-ge try to find are already found.. He think maybe both of us can share to buy a house.

He said the upper level of the house can be rooms, and the lower level of the house can be used as restaurant.. (O_O)

Does it means.. He ask us to live together..?

But.. Mama and Papa always say, not to live together with a guy before marriage.. And somehow.. When Bao said this to Kefa-ge.. He said then it will be a long way.. But he said I can think about it first..

Hmm..

Somehow.. Bao feels something weird.. ( ._. )I don’t know what it is..

Ah.. Maybe I’m just hungry.. (=w=)/ I’ll go grab some food after this.(=w=)b
