  1. • What teen has an actual real superpower? What happened to the girl who’s allergic to water? From strange bodies to unbelievable jobs, we take a look at 15 teenagers around the world you won’t believe are real.
  2. 15 – Ciera Swaringen
  3. • Ciera Swaringen isn’t a teenager anymore – she’s 21. But her story dates back to when she was a teen, and the target of incessant bullying.
  4.
  5. • She was born with a rare skin condition that gives her giant birthmarks all over her body, but she’s living a normal life now as a mother. Her condition affects only one in 500,000 people.
  6. 14 – Narendra Kumar
  7. • When Narendra Kumar was 18, he had been dealing with chronic stomach problems for a while, and was losing weight, despite a bulging stomach.
  8.
  9. • Turns out, he had a twin. A parasitic twin. Growing inside him. For 18 years.
  10.
  11. • At that point, it was basically just a disgusting mass of teeth, hair and bones.
  12.
  13. • This is a rare condition in which one fetus enters the other through the umbilical cord, and lives there as a parasite. And you thought your brother was bad.
  14. 13 – Julia Vins
  15. • Julia “Muscle Barbie” Vins is a Russian teen weightlifter, who has the face of a doll and the body of a 1980s action hero.
  16.
  17. • She’s a professional powerlifter now, but it isn’t like she’s been doing it forever. She only walked into a gym and started powerlifting in 2012.
  18. 12 – Hannah Kritzeck
  19. • Hannah Kritzeck suffers from primordial dwarfism, and only grew to be 39 inches tall.
  20.
  21. • The condition is so rare, there are only about 100 cases believed to exist in the world.
  22.
  23. • Despite her condition, Hannah is pursuing a career in acting and singing.
  24. 11 – Mahendra Ahirwar
  25. • Mahendra Ahirwar was born with his neck twisted 180 degrees from where it was supposed to be.
  26.
  27. • He underwent a risky surgery to repair his neck and allow him to see the world right-side up, but eight months after the surgery he died suddenly while watching TV at home.
  28. 10 – Ellen Lietzow
  29. • Ellen Lietzow was a teen in Melbourne, Australia, who simply thought she needed to lose weight to become popular.
  30.
  31. • She took that to extremes, and fasted from food and water until she shrunk down to 77 pounds. Eventually she was hospitalized.
  32.
  33. • However, she recovered from her extreme case of anorexia, and by age 19 was back to a normal, healthy weight.
  34. 9 – Nihal Bitla
  35. • Indian Teen Nihal Bitla was proof that progeria, the rare condition that causes accelerated aging, is real.
  36.
  37. • By the time Nihal was a teenager, he already looked like an old man, as he was aging at roughly 8 times the normal rate.
  38.
  39. • By age 15, he had passed away, but not before becoming an activist and raising awareness of his condition.
  40. 8 – Lucy and Maria Aylmer
  41. • At a glance, Lucy and Maria Aylmer look totally normal. And they are. But they’re also twins, and that really throws some people off.
  42.
  43. • Lucy and Maria are both biracial, born to a white father and half-Jamaican mother. But one girl is a pasty white ginger, and the other sports dark skin and curly black hair.
  44.
  45. • The twins have three older siblings, who they say all have different skin tones that fall between these two on the spectrum.
  46. 7 – Fu Wengui
  47. • Chinese teen Fu Wengui has three extra vertebrae in his spine, and they’re apparently all in his neck.
  48.
  49. • He also suffers from congenital scoliosis and an abnormal chest frame, and the abnormality in his neck causes pressure on his nerves, making it difficult for him to walk normally, and giving him a reduced range of movement overall.
  50.
  51. • He was considering surgery to fix the problems with his neck, but there’s no news as to when that surgery might be.
  52. 6 – Isa-Bella Leclair
  53. • Isa-Bella Leclair has Parkes Weber syndrome, which causes one of her legs to swell up to twice the size of the other one due to a collection of abnormal blood vessels.
  54.
  55. • She handled that in the best way possible: She took a picture of herself in a bikini and shared it online.
  56.
  57. • The photo started out as a simple family photo, but when she published it alongside an essay on body positivity, it became a powerful message.
  58. 5 – Malachi Love-Robinson
  59. • Malachi Love-Robinson wasn’t born with any sort of medical condition or deformity. He just ran a really good hustle.
  60.
  61. • In 2016, this 18-year-old kid lied about his age – and just about everything else – and posed as a medical doctor who was raised in France. He opened a practice, made a website, hired staff, and called himself “Dr. Love.”
  62.
  63. • He had a whole set of fake documents to go with it, and he got away with it for a while, making an estimated $70,000 in salary working at a rehab clinic and embezzling a bunch more from some of his elderly patients.
  64. 4 – Deepak Jang Ra
  65. • Deepak Jang Ra is basically a superhero. For some reason, he is completely unaffected by electricity.
  66.
  67. • 11 thousand volts of electricity just run through his body like it’s nothing, even when he reaches into a bucket of water with live wires running through it.
  68.
  69. • He has become the resident electrician in his town, and routinely fixes electrical problems in his village with his bare hands. He doesn’t feel anything, and it doesn’t appear to do any damage to his body.
  70. 3 – Alexandra Allen
  71. • When Alexandra Allen was little, she wanted to be a marine biologist and live her life on a boat.
  72.
  73. • That was before she realized she was allergic to water.
  74.
  75. • Now she just tries to get through her days without getting rained on. The “allergy” isn’t really an allergy in the truest sense, but her skin breaks out in hives when she’s exposed to water. For now, she can still drink water, but that is expected to change as she gets older.
  76. 2 – Georgia Green
  77. • Australian teenager Georgia Green suffers from an incurable condition known as Kleine-Levin syndrome.
  78.
  79. • It’s a bit like narcolepsy, the condition that causes a sudden onset of sleep. Only in Georgia’s case, she falls asleep for days at a time.
  80.
  81. • In some cases, she can remain asleep for up to 7-to-10 days at a time.
  82. 1 – The Boy With the Super Penis
  83. • We don’t know this kid’s name, but we do know he had a penis about the size of an American football.
  84.
  85. • Like many parts of the human anatomy, we tend to assume bigger is better… but there’s a breaking point where it’s just too much.
  86.
  87. • So the Florida teen underwent the world’s first penis reduction surgery. Now he has a shot at actually having sex without sending his partner running away screaming.
