You can't save everyone.

Every medic, every doctor, every chirurgeon knew this simple truth: you can't save everyone. Healing magic and traditional medicine both have their limits. Sometimes a patient is simply too far gone. Sometimes they're suffering from an injury that neither magic nor traditional means can reach. Sometimes they simply don't respond to treatment. Whatever the case, sometimes patients die, and ddoctors simply have to live with that fact.

But that doesn't make it any less painful when it happens.
