  1. Getting expired tmblr accounts indexed through Google Webmaster
  2. I am planning to get 50 expired tmblr accounts. As you all know, getting these indexed is a pain in the arse nowadays. Even though the blog is indexed, the Articles don't get indexed.

  14. My plan is getting 50 gmail accounts, register these 50 tmblr accounts on Google Webmaster and request indexing from there. Of course I will be using a seperate proxy for each Google Webmaster account.
  15. Do you think this would work?
  16. What do you mean that the blog gets indexed and the article isn't?
  17. Isn't your article posted on the homepage?
  18. Expired tumblrs will have juice on the homepage only as previous posts that could have backlinks can't be resurected.
  19. Plus, for sometime now google rarely index posts on tumblrs.
  20. So, as long as you set your tumblr to show full article on homepage, and that gets indexed, you are good to go.
  21. Plus you can always use description to post your link there for a simple do-fol0w link, without the classic tumblr redirect.
  22. Also, from what I can see, usually google will cache the new content on expired tumblr after a few days and up to 3-4 weeks, without building any other links or social media shares.

  25. Yes, via GSC they will most likely index.

  33. So you think indexing tumblr posts is useless now? For example, should I not send them to the indexer service or try to index them myself? I'm really curious about this, cuz I use tumblr a lot.
  34. So, as long as you set your tumblr to show full article on homepage, and that gets indexed, you are good to go.
  35. Check these 2 in google:
  36. site:.tumblr.com -inurl:com/post/
  37. site:.tumblr.com inurl:.com/post/
  38. If google would index tumblr posts, the second query should have been at least a few times greater. That because most tumblr blogs have dozens of posts.
  39. But, it is even lower than the first query.
  40. Well, expired tumblr get indexed faster, in comparison to other web 2.0 . You will not need to go for search console.
  41. So, as long as you set your tumblr to show full article on homepage, and that gets indexed, you are good to go.
  42. Check these 2 in google:
  43. site:.tumblr.com -inurl:com/post/

  48. When I type site:my_shitty_blog.tumblr.com in Google it is fine. I get results. However when I copy and paste a part of the article in Google and search (like this: "a sentence from the article") I get no results. That means the article itself is not indexed. Am I wrong?
  49. Also, I don't see my tumblrs when I check backlinks with Ahrefs and other tools. However all the other backlinks from other sites are there. So there is obviously a problem.
  50. I was going to say this... I think that's because they dont show ALL posts in the homepage, they use infinite scroll, which means that more posts are being loaded the more the user scrolls down the page. Which means that older posts wont be indexed by the homepage I think.
  51. Posts are always visible to the bots. Infinte scroll doesn't stop them seeing the content.
  52. When I type site:my_shitty_blog.tumblr.com in Google it is fine. I get results. However when I copy and paste a part of the article in Google and search (like this: "a sentence from the article") I get no results. That means the article itself is not indexed. Am I wrong?

  54. If you want to see what google indexed, check your cache.
  55. I have been testing with expired tumblrs for some time now. Tested close to 30 tumblrs which had backlinks, but never saw a good result. I see lots of threads about expired tumblrs, but for me, never seen a good result.
  56. In comparison with other expired web 2, I did see a good result.
  57. Which platforms gave you good results? Do you mind sharing?
  58. Weeblys are good.
  59. @mindmaster This is bothering me also. My expired tumblrs homepages index okay but indexing posts is hard now. So in your opinion if my posts are in homepage you don't have to index posts pages? I also link from posts to my money site, do you think google see this link even if post is not indexed?
  60. I already answered.
  61. Can you please explain this? What is "my cache" and where is it? Do you mean Google cache?
  62. When I check the articles url on google cache, I see nothing. So that means it is not indexed, right?
  63. cache:YourTumblrUsername.tumblr.com
  64. Check that. Not the freaking post. We already talked about how google treats most tumblr posts.
  65. it will take some time to index don't worry about it
  66. I haven't used tumblr for some time, but from my fragile memory, I believe it took quite a while for individual posts to index. I think generally your home page was indexed quite quickly but took a while to improve ranking. Individual posts took longer to index, but ranked easier.
