  3. Different religions across the different parts of the world follow different methodologies of prayers and have their own gods. But the concept of hell and heaven is similar across the religions. in Sanathana Dharma(Hinduism) Garuda purana acts as a tourist guide to hell (no pun intended). It clearly explains what punishment will be given to a person for his actions. Okay nice but here are my questions. The following parts of this question may seem to be like many different question but all will point the same thing "HELL (Naraka)".

  5. Injustice is common in kali-yuga we are forced to follow several practices which is considered to be as sin in Garuda purana. For example liquor drinking is a sin according to Garuda purana and the punishment for this is making the sinner drink molten metal in hell. But in kali-yuga due to extensive work given to the labors (say in construction field) by their managers, The bodies of the labor will have an extreme pain since they have lifted load all over the morning and they have to repeat the cycle for the same in the following day. In-order to avoid the pain and get sleep they use liquor for satisfying their pain. How come this will become sin? Let's say sinners who committed sins in their past life are placed as labors in the earth, but God does not provide opportunity since he is putting them in same cycle where it is necessary to commit futher sin for their survival. Like famous biologist Curtist said "Transpiration is a necessary evil" here "Liquor drinking is a necessary evil" for them. Now let us take the injustice happening to women in the name of culture for example, dressing in fields like air-hostess, waiters in star restaurants are in such of way that it is a sin in Hinduism. Here these dresses are "necessary evil" for the women else they will loose their job. So, my question is how is Garuda purana applicable in Kali Yuga? All person must be punished in the world for these necessary evils they are taking.

  7. In Hinduism, If a person either goes to Hell or Heaven he does not break the cycle of life (i.e getting moksha) He/She will be reincarnated as humans. So lets take a person who lives in kali yuga has died and he goes to hell after his punishments are over he is going to be placed in earth again but the condition in earth will me more worse than he was there in past life since years pass on worst of worst things will happen in kali yuga and there will be "more necessary evils" resulting in more sins and put him in Hell back. How Garuda purana address this issue?

  9. Who is the culprit? God or Us? Babies are perfect imitating machines created by the creator itself (God). They inherit and imitate what they see and what their care-takers do. In other yugas goodness is every where and the babies born in other Yuga are imitating the goodness resulting in "Good Men and Good Women" but the babies born in kali-yuga where badness is everywhere imitates and learns the same and becomes "Bad Men and Bad Women". So it does not make the people born is another yuga as a good person and kali-yuga as a bad person.

  11. If you have time read this nice theory supporting the above paragraph from Wikipedia: Lamarkism by Jean-Baptiste Lamarck
  12.
  13. Example situation: Say that we are making a pot from a clay but the pot does not come as expected. Whose mistake is this ours or the clay's. It is definitely ours. Likewise, God expects humans to be good and they are good in other yugas but not kali yuga. Let us take humans as clay and god as maker now whose mistake is this? We are in an environment where the pot won't come as expected by God.

  15. Are religions (generally) inducing fear in humans in the name of hell to make them believe in God?
  16.
  17. There are different kinds of pleasures and pains both physical and mental pain and there are also various tastes like sweet, sour, hot etc., Some like sweet and some are allergic to sweet (which may even cause death) like wise, Mostly in this world people enjoy physical pleasure and their are fear of physical pain. But there are some kind of people who enjoys physical pain (masochist - a person who enjoys pain) and hates pleasures. If all the punishments are going to be given from Garuda Purana in this world for the masochist he is really going to enjoy every punishments given to him like in heaven. This does make the sense that pain and pleasures are different tastes. So why does hell chose a particular taste("Pain") just because people are feared of it and they will believe in religion?

  19. Forever theory of hell and heaven Hinduism is good in this part (re-incarnations). I do not accept some religions saying Hell is forever. One cannot be punished forever for 1-1xx years of his/her life span. I appreciate this concept here. So no more question here. I am not comparing Religion X with Hinduism.
  20.
  21. THE PRIME SIN Here I include all religions (including Hinduism) but not limiting/comparing/complaining one religion with another.
  22.
  23. The prime sin in most of the religions is itself, Not believing their own God. Say there are X religions in the world and I belong to Hinduism and I do believe in God (Yes I believe in all Hindu Gods). So this makes me a non-believer of X-1 religions. So, Do I need to suffer in X-1 hells? this makes no sense. How Hinduism address this? If somebody (not-be so don't blame) says Hinduism is the only religion, take another person with different religion does he need to suffer in our hell just because he trusted the wrong God?
