- Hello everybody
- I have attached a picture of me in hospital yesterday. It was very exciting and I met some nice paramedics called Naomi, Stacy and Tom. They looked after me and then I had an
- x-ray. But now I am fine.
- Lots of love Freddy.

- Dear Freddy,
- I am glad that you are OK.
- It looks like the paramedics thought you had broken something,
- Luckily you hadn't, but it looks quit serious.
- It is a shame I couldn't come to your house, though.
- I made this car with a gearbox and three gears, but I couldn't make
- the gears change without ruining them, and the motor hasn't enough
- power to turn the wheels.
- Please can you reply to my emails, as I will reply to yours.
- I have modified Treasure a bit, by adding some wall that the monster
- can travel through, but the explorer can't.
- This made a new level involving these, and it is quite hard.
- There is some normal wall, then some special wall with a monster
- traveling up and down, more wall, and so on and so on.
- When it comes to the end of the alley, you go down a
- bit, and go back across.
- This repeats until there is two electrifiers, and lots of those
- bugs that change the monsters into blue ons, which would
- not normally be a problem.
- But, to make it harder, when you touch a bug, a diamond, money,
- or any other bonus, you change back into normal.
- So, you have to collect all the bugs before you get electrified.
- I have also included a timer, every 100 steps the timer goes up one
- until 100, then you lose a life.
- I have included a copy of this, and some other games.
- Love from Cameron
- Cameron!!! I have discovered something extremely useful!!!!!
- On gamemaker you can make speech recognition systems!!! this will be very useful for the more advanced versions of The Humanz!!!
- Click on this link: http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=381081 for a text to speech system,
- & this link:http://gmc.yoyogames.com/lofiversion/index.php/t395814.html
- for a general speech recognition system, with your gamemaker code knowledge I am sure you could probably advance it to fit The Humanz's needs!!!
- Good luck and I think this project could work extremely well!!!
- Please write back A.S.A.P!!!
- [P.S. If link 2 does not work, type in google: voice recognition creator and choose the result that says: Game Maker Community > Speech Recognition!].
- From Freddy
- Hi cam
- I believe the text to speech only works on XP becuase of the "say.vbs" it seems to have a windows error on Vista, I have attached an image of the error I got, just in case you might be able to figure any of it out, I myself know a little bit about VBS files and I am checking through it but I cannot find any errors. As for the recognition problems, I haven't tried it out yet, but if you go into Control Panel\Speech\Speech Recognition\Configure microphone
- AND Control Panel\Speech\Speech Recognition\Train profile then it should be better!
- The SR [Speech Recognition if you didn't guess] system can be used by having a system to get a string [from someones mouth!] and have another script aswell - a string checking script so that if the string is ________ then the _________ will __________ E.G.
- If string is "Go" Blueman move off screen, of course that wouldn,t be the actual script but you know what I mean! Have to go now, good luck!
- Your good friend

- Dear Cameron,
- I thought it would be a great idea to go to orinoco when you come on Saturday.
- Orinoco is a shop where they sell off all sorts of scrap materials like foam, can lids, lids, blank books and streamers. I have attached a list of just a few of the things they sell.
- I thought we could use the materials we get to make a device that will roll, walk, jump or even float on the canal as a raft. I think Orinoco also sell motors very cheaply so maybe we can control them. Can you ask your mum if you could bring some money???

- Hi Fred,
- I went to my grandparents and they gave me £10 for the holiday. So I went and bought a bluetooth dongle.
- It has 100m range (yes, 100m!) and class 1 bluetooth.
- I have made two programs, one which will connect the wiimotes and another that will show the buttons being pressed on the wiimote.
- For the connector I have used 32feet.net which scans the bluetooth devices and connects them to the computer and for the button test I used wiimotelib (Managed Library of Nintendo's Wiimote).
- I DID make these myself!!!
- Note: When you use your bluetooth dongle, use MICROSOFT BLUETOOTH STACK, not toshiba or widcomm or something else!!!
- Files are included in 7-z archive. You will have to use 7-zip!!!
- 32feet.net was a nightmare! I spent a whole day making it connect!!!
- Wiimotelib isn't so hard but it's still tricky!!!
- From cam
- P.S. You can use a candle instead of the sensor bar!!!

- Thanks for the work Cam!
- Sorry I could not do it myself.
- I have been looking into the operation of the battlebots via a controller of the users choice, for example the usage of an iPhone´s accelerometer for control.
- This may be too complicated, but at the moment I am working on an iPhone webapp as well as researching the battlebots.
- Are you sure there is an api or something for VB to NXT?

- Hi Fred
- I managed to wreck our computer by running NCleaner and clicking CLEAN REGISTRY. Instead of cleaning the registry it sort of cleaned some important system files away. So I had to reinstall windows.
- Our computer now runs really fast!
- Can you work out what version of windows I'm running? Look at attachment...
- Also, the wii remote controller test is coming on well!
- Will send completed controller soon.
- Don't bother making battlebot program, I have made it.
- Also completed drive mechanism for battlebot
- motor forward = both tracks forward - motor backward = one track forward and one track backward

- Well done! Bet your parents were cross.
- Windows 7 is the answer, and in answer to the P.S, as a microsoft registered programmer I can get it for $35.99, and by the way I am working on an iPhone app which could make some serious cash. If you want to help, which would REALLY GREAT, just email and i'll send more information.

- Hi Fred,
- On your site, www.freddogames.yolasite.com YOU HAVE WRITTEN DOWN YOUR EMAIL!
- BIG mistake. Spambots will get it!
- Use captcha to hide it. Seriously, you don't want to get spammed at that level. It will happen.
- Also, check out my new website www.camagames.co.cc. There is nothing on it at the moment, but it will soon be ready.
- When you get www.freddogames.com, use www.000webhost.com as your hosting! They're really good.
- Bye for now, Cam
