  1. >Jump 1: Pokemon
  2. >Card: King of Pentacles (A philanthropist and devotee of both luxury and hard work, whose word is as good as gold.)
  3. >Age: 11
  4. >Location: Unova
  5. >Identity: Drop-In
  6. Because starting with an identity is definitely easy mode.
  7. >Drawbacks: Marked (+200), Wanted (+300)
  8. So it's probably a bad thing when you end up with both the law and the outlaws wanting you in their custody, right?
  9. >Aura (900)
  10. Getting what is effectively empathy and combat aura abilities? That sounds incredibly useful. It's not mind-reading, but being able to roughly sense someone's intention will come in handy.
  11. >Psionics (300)
  12. Telepathy and telekinesis? Nice. No mind reading ... so, one-way telepathy? Still insanely useful, though.
  13. >Savant (0, discounted)
  14. Perfect memory, mental calculator abilities, perfect aim... I just can't say no to this. Especially considering it means my memories of home won't ever fade.
  15.
  16. Now, here's the problem with taking three capstones and appearing out of nowhere - I only want to help people, but using these abilities myself, without a Pokemon (because everyone knows that a Snivy definitely can't do these things), gets attention. A lot of attention, and almost exclusively of the negative kind.
  17.
  18. Basically, the law wants to lock me up and take me away to be studied, because no human should be able to do all the things I do, while sundry criminals would as soon kidnap me, take all I have, and force me to work for them. All I want to do is to help people, and quite honestly, that shouldn't be asking too much. But it is.
  19.
  20. So I travel from place to place, doing what I can to help others. There's enough going on that this presents no difficulty, and even though I don't technically do anything illegal ... well, I should rephrase: even though I am not out there committing any felonies, after all you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, it isn't stopping all kinds of people from coming after me. Hence I have to keep travelling.
  21.
  22. After more than a few close calls, though, I got the swing of things and it became easier to keep ahead of the rest. Of course there are things that could have made it easier, but quite honestly... sometimes learning how to blend in and keep myself in shape the hard way pays its own rewards.
  23.
  24. >'bout the only thing you do that stands out is Savant. Psionics and Aura are known, especially Psionics. Sabrina runs a psychic gym in the largest city in Kanto.
  25. Sure, but all of them at once? More than a little suspicious.
  26. >..not really? There aren't laws or preudices on aura or psionics. Nor on intelligence or having a good memory. I get that you're trying to justify the drawback you took but it makes zero sense.
  27. It's more a matter of 'huh, that guy can do all of these, we need to stop him and question him' initially. Add on some stealing what I need to get by, fearlessly breaking rules as needed to help other people out, and so forth, and suddenly I've got a rap sheet and they want to throw me behind bars. I'm just saying this is my assumption as to why they want me, not the reality. Though trying to figure out how one person has all of these at once IS a thing, even if it isn't a matter of prejudices.
  28. As far as the crime groups wanting to grab me, well, Team Rocket went after an electric mouse for years, they'd surely be stupid enough to try this too.
  29. >Personally I'd say that somone accused you of doing illegal experiments to get the abilities. Mutilating psychic Pokemons brains and what not. That'd get them after you even if it wasn't true.
  30. Entirely possible. That would definitely get them after me.
