so the protagonist is a high school trans girl (Alan/Lana) who's not out to anyone, and her life is, well quite meh, not much in a way of friends, lives only with a lone father who's kinda clocked out of life and doesn't care about much anymore

so, one of her classmates is a blind skunk girl (Sue, sue me) towards whom Lana always quietly looked up to and just found really cute but was never really keen on interacting with, since a lot of other human students have been pricks towards her and she doesn't want to cause Sue any more grief

And one day as they're making their way out of the building one of Sue's thingies (unsure what really) falls out of her bag as she's heading home and she doesn't notice because she has headphones on

so Lana decides to go for it and hand it back, Sue being really thankful and happy for the gesture, and eventually Lana manages to stammer out whether she could walk Sue home and she agrees and they just chit chat some on their way (she walks with a cane so normally she's quite self sufficient)

So they make it over, say goodbyes, Lana realizes Sue lives in the opposite direction and walks the long way home, father doesn't really mind her being late since he doesn't care about anything anymore

So the next few days, with the ice broken, they chat some more at school and things get swell, and Lana keeps walking her home,  much to the discontent of Sue's quite overprotective family, especially on the account of her having had a lot of bullying in the past from mostly human kids

So her younger brother goes out and threatens Lana with a knife to leave Sue alone, forcing her to jump into the nearby river to run away, and so the next few days Lana does just that, purposefully avoiding Sue when she can

Almost a week or so passes and eventually Sue gets frustrated enough to ask others to look for Lana and well, she finds her and is just kinda distraught as to why she'd been avoiding her, to which Lana can't come up with any bullshit reason and eventually leaks being threatened with a knife, at which Sue gets furious at her family for keeping doing this, othering her out even more through their overprotectiveness

Eventually she just decides she's not going home tonight after shouting at her mom in a call and asks Lana if she can spend the night at her place, and the latter agrees in surprise, father is a bit weirded out but in the end doesn't mind, so Lana grabs an old inflatable mattress and sleeps on the ground and leaves her bed for Sue, and neither can really sleep well and just kinda vent  for a while, and well they both end up revealing their secrets to each other- that Sue is into girls, and that Lana is a girl, and that's about how far I got it thought through
