- Offense on Smirk is hard
- The issue with Smirk is that it's very hard to grab on smirk and then get out of base. The top route is protected by the button and going bottom or mid is hard due to the opposition team boost. This is a map that requires a fair few handoffs and the best way to score is in bunches and once we get a regrab train going. Also, never use the base boost except in the beginning to grab the mid power up. Seriously you use it and I'll feed you to the foxes.
- Offense before the grab
- You must attack the base as a pair. If you're by yourself you become predicatable because even if you grab you can only go bottom due to the button defender sitting on the button and cutting off the middle path. When together one attacker should be in the 'Attacking Zone' trying to grab and keep the defenders busy whilst the other attacker boosts in either to grab or open up the defenders for the original attacker to grab.
- Offense after the grab
- Once one of the offenders grabs the other should block or fight for the button until the flag carrier leaves the 'Support Line.' Then he should go back towards the flag to get ready for the re-grab. The flag carrier should either go top if his partner has the button or should try to boost bottom, mid is almost never good due to the team tiles. If the flag carrier feels he's dead at least try to draw a snipe from the opposition team boost so his partner can safely use their own team boost. The flag carrier must let the defense know which route they're taking so the defense can setup blocks. Be patient and let the blocks be formed before you go in for the cap.
- LOVE POWER-UPS LIKE A MONKEY LOVES BANANAS
- It is the offenses responsibility to call out the timers on the mid and enemy p-ups. CALL OUT THE TIME, LOCATION and POWER UP. If you don't I will find you and I will kill you. They last 20 seconds so be aware of that when using them.
