so ..wife/chae-young makes fmc say it again. a combo of speech and thought that goes 'mom died'. wife insists fmc tells her again what she just said and begs fmc/chae hee. mc thinking he had to find out what happened once he's clear of the current situation. mc tells wife to calm down, but she's all about fmc and tells him to let her be. wife asking 'why' in despair and mc thinking how he had mom's voice in his mind and how she tried to tell him smth that time. mc thinks that mom wanted to tell him smth and blames himself for not noticing that.

00 hospital and thoughts how mc and wife, who paid for smth/treatment before, found out fast. doc tells them she miraculously lived. apparently mom was on sleep meds, cause idk ..depression since fmc's dad died. apparently mom lied and told them it was vitamins at that time. fmc tells them sorry and feel apologetic cause if she was next to her mom .. wife a bit tsun there and idk ..doesn't excuses fmc or idk. mc tells fmc that is not her fault. fmc blames herself and mc wants wife's coop to reassure fmc on that. thoughts how he wanted to say smth to wife too who looked strange or that. wife insists they go eat and both fmc and mc deny, but wife steps up the pressure. wife goes alone and kinda tells mc and fmc not to mop around. how mom will wake up and not to worry there. nurse titties comes asking if all is well and mc is all 'yeah'. she goes how mom will wake up soon and to ring her if they need smth. banter about that and then talk of chicken dishes from mc and fmc and how that smell will wake mom right up. fmc calls him loco and tells him to go buy some. mc then goes how beer would work well with chicken. fmc teasing mc and mc thinking how his jokes got to her and that.

mom wakes up here and mc thinks how she got up but said nothing for a while. fmc then tells mom her worries about her dying and how shitty she felt and blames herself. mom then calls mc over to talk to him and he thinks he couldn't look her in the eyes and wonders if it was guilt that he felt. tbc...
