  1.
  2. There was a light thump as the van climbed the little dip up onto the driveway. Two identical tigress twins, Selene & Luna stepped outside of the van. Their noses twitched at the old scent of seaside air. As usual they had paired off their clothes, Luna wore a deep blue sweater and black pants, while Selene had a fiery red tank-top and white shorts. The twin felines removed their luggage from the van and waved off the shuttle service. As the vehicle pulled away from the driveway, Selene caught sight of someone across the street. It was a young adult fox, he had a lazy look in his eyes and was impassively watering the grass on the front yard.
  3.
  4. “You know who that is?” Selene asked her sister.
  5. Luna inspected the fox. “I…think that’s Shin,” she said after a few blinks.
  6. Selene’s amber eyes widened. “Holy shit! He grew up fast…”
  7. Luna nodded. “Seems like he’s matured a bit too. Never remember him doing chores.”
  8. Selene tilted her head to the side. “Huh. You sure that’s him then?”
  9. Her sister shrugged. “We can ask him tomorrow. Let’s unpack.”
  10.
  11. The couple unlocked the front door and dragged their oversized suitcases inside. As they expected, the home had changed while they had been gone. Their mother had moved some old furniture into new places or some new furniture into old places. The house was empty save the twins, as their mother was off to work. Luna went upstairs to put away her luggage, but paused when her sister called her name.
  12.
  13. “Lun,” Selene said from downstairs.
  14. “Yeah, Sel?”
  15. “What the hell is this?“
  16. Luna’s ears shot up. “What?” she said, making her way downstairs.
  17.
  18. The tigress rounded the corner into the living room and found her twin staring at an object on a shelf. It was an odd sculpture, a bit bigger than the size of a paw. It was obsidian black and about the size of a flashlight. The figure had no visible head, just a center that resembled a torso. Atop the torso were a pair of feathered wings that were angled with the flaps forward. The wings were uneven, with one slightly larger than the other. The figure perched itself on two arm-like limbs that each terminated into a pair of claws. It was standing tall with two other arms extended into the air, these arms ending in a pair of open palms clasped together by the wrists. Luna frowned and felt her face inch away. “I have no idea…” she answered.
  19.
  20. “It’s creepy, not like any of my models,” Selene mumbled, equally disquieted.
  21. “We can ask Mom about it later. Help me unpack.” Luna said with a wave of her paw.
  22.
  23. Selene nodded and carried her luggage upstairs into their room. This room at least, had stayed constant. There was a small, empty space in the center of the room with one bed to each side of the crevice. One bed had red covers and the other had blue. Across from the beds was a pair of identical wooden desks that each held an array of unique items. The desk in front of the blue bed had an array of history books and fantasy novels neatly stacked along the shelves and tabletop. Splayed across the other table was a collection of detailed figurines and signed art prints.
  24.
  25. The room had been well maintained for the most part, though a tiny layer of dust had settled atop the tables. Even so, the familiar scent of plastic and old paper that hung in the air gave the pair of felines a small tingling across their skin. The twins unpacked their luggage, silently basking in the nostalgia of the room. When they were all done, the two changed into their pair of matching pajamas and retired to bed to catch up on their jetlag.
  26.

  28.
  29. As it turned out, sleeping in the late afternoon was not the best strategy for passing through into the next day. Both felines found themselves waking in the middle of a dark room with crickets chirping outside. Selene was first to rise form her bed.
  30.
  31. “How long has it been since Mom got home?” she asked with a sigh.
  32. “About an hour,” Luna answered, also rising.
  33. “Damnit. I’m going to the kitchen. You want anything?” Selene huffed.
  34. “I’ll just come along.”
  35.
  36. Selene creaked open the door and the twins crept out. They made their way towards the stairs, as they neared the steps the two passed their mother’s room. The door to the room was ajar, but not enough to see anything. Just as the two crossed by the door, a low moan rolled past the crack in the doorway. Both felines froze and exchanged a wide-eyed glance at other. Before either could act further, a louder, longer moan slid through the door. It was followed by a breathy, muffled voice saying something unintelligible.
  37.
  38. The kitchen forgotten, the felines retreated into their room in silence. They sat back onto their beds, quietly staring at the floor. Minutes passed and Luna was the first to speak up. “You know…I haven’t heard her do that since Dad was still alive.”
  39. Selene put her face in paws. “Damnnit Lun…” she mumbled.
  40.
  41. Without another word to each other, the two eventually settled back under their covers and passed the rest of the night in bed.
  42.

  44.
  45. “Girls!” Artemis beamed a smile at her daughters and gave them both a big hug.
  46. “H-hi Mom,” the twins stammered, returning the hug.
  47. The older tigress pulled away from the embrace and gave her girls a pat on the shoulder. “I was hoping to see you two yesterday, but you were sleeping when I got back. You sleep well?”
  48. “Uh, well….” Selene stumbled.
  49. “We had trouble with jetlag,” Luna answered. “But we’re okay.”
  50. Artemis took the two by the paw “Come. Let’s catch up,” she said, leading them downstairs to the living room.
  51.
  52. The three had breakfast together in the living room, talking about the years that had passed since the twins had gone to live abroad. As breakfast ended, Luna’s eyes wandered to the shelves in the living room. Her gaze eventually settled back on the obsidian figure resting atop one of them. A shiver passed through the tigress, she couldn’t tell what the “front” of the figure was, but she could have sworn it had been moved. Wherever it’s head should have been was now facing the wall.
  53.
  54. “By the way, Mom…” Luna pointed to the figure “What is that?”
  55. Artemis looked to the idol before giving a dismissive wave at Luna. “Oh, that. Some guy a few months ago was going around town selling those.”
  56. Selene frowned as she remembered the obsidian object. “Doesn’t seem like something you’d buy. It’s too creepy.”
  57. The elder tigress shrugged. “Someone else in town gave it to me. You know how I am about throwing away gifts.”
  58. The sisters sighed. “Right…” said Selene, before going back to their conversation.
  59.
  60. When breakfast finished, Artemis went off to work while her two daughters went about their plans for the day. The first of which was to inspect their newly matured neighbor. The tigresses crossed the street and rung the doorbell. Another wave of nostalgia washed over the two as they heard a “ding ding ding” from inside the house. It was a sound they hadn’t heard in years. A few moments later, the fox from yesterday opened the door.
  61.
  62. The vulpine had a lazy look on his face, half-lidded eyes and a neutral expression across his muzzle. After a glance at the visitors he broke into a tiny smile. “Sel & Lun. You’re back,” he said calmly.
  63. Selene’s train of thought paused at the fox’s voice. It was deeper than she remembered, and much quieter. “Umm, yeah…You’re Shin right?” she asked.
  64. The fox nodded. “Would you like to come in?” he offered, stopping aside from the doorway.
  65. The felines exchanged a glance. Luna shrugged, while Selene returned Shin’s nod.
  66. “So you’ve gotten tall!” Selene commented as she made her way in. “You finally going to college?”
  67. Shin shook his head. “No,” he said flatly. “My parents and I decided it was best if I stayed in town.”
  68. “Really?” Selene asked, her ear shooting straight up. “Where are your parents by the way?”
  69. “Meeting with people,” said the fox. “How was living abroad?”
  70.
  71. While the two conversed, Luna had been quietly examining their surroundings. Shin’s house hadn’t changed much save for a few moved items or new decorations. As they walked from the front doorway into the living room, something caught Luna’s eye. On one of the shelves in the living room was an obsidian black sculpture. Exactly the same as the one at home.
  72. A frown crossed Luna’s muzzle. “Shin…” she said. “You got one of these too?”
  73.
  74. Shin answered without even bothering to look. “Some guy a few months ago was going around town selling those.”
  75. Selene blinked in confusion and turned to see what the others were talking about before immediately feeling a small recoil. “Yeah…that’s what our Mom told us. Surprised your family got one too.”
  76. The fox shrugged. “A lot of the town thought it was appealing.”
  77. “Huh…” was Selene’s only comment.
  78.
  79. The three spent a small bit longer catching up with small talk before they all went about the rest of the day. The two felines for their part, continued to explore how thier hometown had changed.
  80.
  81. “Still don’t think it’s Shin,” said Selene as they walked down the street.
  82. “Hmm…” Luna pondered. “Maybe he thought over a different career.”
  83. Selene shook her head. “If he did he doesn’t seem too happy about it. It’s like the life’s been sucked out of him.”
  84. Luna shrugged. “Or maybe we’ve just been gone for too long,”
  85.
  86. The two rounded the corner and into a café. To their joy, this establishment had remained mostly the same. It was a large room with few old mahogany tables and chairs propped along the walls. A, curved glass window rounded about the wall, making the entire room visible from the outside. It was a slow day, a few people were sitting at the tables. Some were working on their computer or phones, others were just chatting with other people at the café. In the middle of the café was an old mahogany counter with a middle-aged wolf. The canine looked up at the sound of the door opening and broke into a smile. “Haven’t seen you two in a while.”
  87.
  88. “Hi, Mr. Ruth,” Selene greeted and took a seat the counter.
  89. Luna waved at the canine without a word and took a seat.
  90.

  92.
  93. Shin groaned. One paw was busy holding a phone up to his face. The other was busy at his crotch, rubbing his throbbing vulpine meat in a steady rhythm. He was staring off into space with that same sleepy, half-lidded look in his eyes, his muzzle hanging slightly agape. The young fox was naked, sitting in a chair in his living room. Behind him, a pair of figures could be heard gasping in ecstasy.
  94.
  95. “How long?” the fox gasped into the phone.
  96.
  97. The phone garbled out an answer and Shin moaned again, gripping his cock which was twitching precum.
  98.
  99. “Where are they? Where will they be going?” he asked
  100.
  101. Another garbled answer grumbled through the phone and Shin nodded.
  102.
  103. “I will,” he responded. The fox let out a loud gasp, his eyes unfocusing into a milky, white film. “Bograth Xala,” he breathed out. Shin’s cocked spasmed, shooting out spurts of that same milky white.
  104.
  105. “Bograth Xala,” two voices behind Shin repeated in blissful unison. A second later, a similar moaned chant crept through the phone.
  106.
  107. Above, an obsidian figure peered down at them all.
  108.
  109. ***
  110.
  111. “Bograth…?” said Luna, staring down at the café owner’s idol.
  112. “It’s what he called it. Heard of it before?” asked Mr. Ruth, placing the sculpture in front of the twins.
  113. The tigress inched her head closer to study the figure. “I…feel like I should but I don’t remember it in anything I’ve read.”
  114. Selene had also been examining the obsidian object, but with a different eye. “Hmm. Never noticed before, but this thing is really cleanly made. It’s super smooth, except for texturing on the wings and fingers.”
  115. The middle-aged canine smiled. “You starting to take a liking to it too?“
  116.
  117. Exchanging a glance, the twins gave the idol another look.
  118.
  119. “Its…still odd, but in an intriguing way rather than obscene,” admitted Luna.
  120. “I don’t care for the aesthetic style, but good craftsmanship is still good craftsmanship,” added Selene.
  121. Mr. Ruth chuckled. “Everybody seems to have come up with a different reason for liking it.” The wolf picked up the figure and returned it beneath the shelf. Luna and Selene’s eyes followed it down all the way.
  122. “I for one,” began Mr. Ruth “Like how it brings people to the counter. So…would you girls like the usual?”
  123.
  124. ***
  125.
  126. The twins returned to their home at around midnight, having spent the entire day rediscovering their hometown. All throughout their travels they never failed to notice how many stores and people had their own effigy of “Bograth.” It was a craze, every owner found some sort of unique appeal in the sculpture. As the day went on, the felines found that they were no exception.
  127.
  128. When the two got home, their mother was already asleep. They took turns showering and changed into a matching pair of purple nighties. Normally, the felines would retire for the night, but as they finished changing, an idea crossed their minds.
  129.
  130. “I think I’m gonna take a look at Mom’s Bograth model,” said Selene, walking towards the stairs.
  131. Luna nodded and followed.
  132.
  133. When Selene reached the living room she gave herself a small shake. The night was cold, especially in a nighty. She reached atop the shelf and grasped the obsidian artifact. Clasping her paws around the base, the tigress flinched. The idol wasn’t chilly like she had expected. Instead, the item seemed to match the temperature of her palm perfectly, leaving an eerie, empty sensation instead. Fascinated, Selene placed the figure down onto the table as her sister also entered the living room.
  134.
  135. “You should feel it,” said Selene. “It’s like…” she trailed off, as she remembered the emptiness between her paws. “You should just try it,” she eventually said.
  136.
  137. Also giving herself a shake at the cold, Luna brushed off her twin’s lapse in thought in silence. She had wanted to examine the model anyway. Sitting down at the table, Luna crept her paw to the idol and gently pressed her fingers along the object’s ebony torso. The tigress felt a shiver run down her spine. The texture of the object was so smooth, or at least she thought it was. The idol just seemed to melt into her touch, Luna couldn’t tell where her fingertips ended and where Bograth began.
  138.
  139. Luna flinched again when she felt something warm brush past her fingers. It was then that she noticed that Selene was also feeling around the idol, her palms tracing around the upper arms and dangling across the model’s palms. Sitting in silence, the felines continued their probing with fingers brushing across the ridged wings, palms cupping the smooth torso.
  140.
  141. A noise from atop the stairs broke both of their attentions. Luna gave a few hard blinks, noticing how strangely dry her eyes felt. She looked at Selene who was blinking equally as hard and just as perplexed by the interruption.
  142.
  143. “Was that Mom?” Selene asked.
  144. “I think…?” answered Luna. The tigresses suddenly let out a large yawn and rubbed her eyes. “What time is it?”
  145. Selene rose from her seat and looked at the living room clock a frown. “Holy shit. It’s 4. We need to get to bed.” The tigress shot a small glance towards the table before shrugging and heading for the stairs.
  146.
  147. Luna also looked towards the table, giving the idol one more look. Frowning, she reluctantly pulled herself up to her feet and followed her sister to bed. They would have more time for Bograth tomorrow.
  148.
  149. ***
  150. The two tigresses bounded down the stairs hurriedly. They had planned to wake up in the morning, but now it was well past noon. The couple rounded the stairs to the living room. Without a second thought their eyes shot to the shelf atop. To their disappointment, there was no obsidian idol there to greet them. Their mother had likely taken it to work. They brushed off the misfortune, knowing they’d see more of them throughout today.
  151.
  152. Selene dashed out the door and Luna locked it behind them. In front of their driveway a car was waiting with its motor running. Inside was a vixen and a wolf, their friend Sara and her boyfriend Zed.
  153.
  154. “Sorry we’re late!” Selene said, entering the car. “We got caught up in some things last night.”
  155. “No worries,” said Sara, as Luna also entered the car. The vixen gave the two felines a small lookover. Selene was clad in a two-piece white bikini while Luna was in a one piece black bathing suit. “So, shall we go?” the vixen asked after letting her eyes linger for a few moments.
  156.
  157. Luna was about to nod when she caught sight of two figures atop the dashboard. “Bograth…” she whispered. The tigress’s mouth fidgeted, searching for something else, something to add to the name.
  158. “Bograth…” came Selene’s voice.
  159.
  160. Both Sara and Zed broke into broad grins. “Yes. Bograth…” the vixen intoned. The vulpine grabbed the two models and handed them to the felines. “Why don’t you take a look at these while we head out?”
  161.
  162. Wordlessly, the sisters took the idols in their paws. Like the night before, they went about probing through every inch of the obsidian sculpture. Yet this time something had changed. The once, empty feel of the artifact was replaced by a tingly warmth. The tingling rippled along their fingertips and sent little shocks up their arms. “Bograth…” their voices intoned every now and then. It only felt natural to say, but there was something missing. Their lips twitched, searching in vain for the next words.
  163.
  164. The car stopped, jostling Luna and Selene in their seats. Confused, they peered around them, had they arrived at the beach already? Sara turned to the felines “You can keep the models for now if you still want to look at them. You can give them back when we drop you home.”
  165.
  166. The tigresses gave their friend a wide grin and nodded. Selene had planned to build a sand castle and Luna had thought of reading, while at the beach. Yet spending more time with Bograth seemed like a much better idea. The four left the car, finding themselves in a tiny little parking lot with a horizon full of sand and water in front of them. There were a few others out on the beach today, all of them were also locals of the town.
  167.
  168. Selene promptly walked onto the sand lied down on her belly, not even bothering to place a towel on the floor first. Luna followed shortly after, though instead opted to sit on her bottom with her knees drawn up. As before, their hands went back to stroking the idols in their paws. The warm, tingly feeling returned, stronger than before. It ebbed up through their arm, down their chests, before settling down in between their legs. The feeling was accompanied by two small voices gasping out “Bograth…”
  169.
  170. As the two felines continued their reverie, Selene felt a pair of paws on her back. The sensation was followed by a wonderful wave of warmth that suffused her entire body. As she bathed in the warmth, still gasping something out of her lips, Selene felt the straps on her top somehow drifting onto the sand. Meanwhile, the same rolling warmth was passing through Luna as a pair of paws had found their way onto her shoulders. A moment later, the front of the bathing suit dropped below her chest.
  171. The twins paid no heed. Lots of the others on the beach were naked anyway. Instead they just continued to stroke the idols, bathing in the warmth it sent down their bodies. All the while their lips continued to mouth some unknowable phrase.
  172.
  173. ***
  174.
  175. The twins returned home past midnight. The day was a blur, but they had come back with wide smiles and half-lidded eyes on their faces. Walking back into the house, they felt the cold night air brushing across their bare bodies. They had left their clothes at the beach, but that hardly bothered the tigresses. They had returned Bograth to Sara and Zed. It was no problem, as they knew they could see Bograth again soon enough. As the couple rounded into their living room, they noticed that their idol was still missing from the shelf, but Luna and Selene already knew where to find it. Walking in lock step with each other, the two brought their grinning faces up the stairs and to their mother’s room. Like a few days before, the door was slightly ajar with breathy sounds coming through the crack. Without a moment of hesitation, the siblings walked through the door.
  176.
  177. Inside the room, Selene and Luna found their mother kneeling on the floor. In one paw she was holding a phone to her ear. The other was grasping at an obsidian idol that was placed squarely between her legs. Artemis was completely nude, her lower lips dripping with juices as they pumped up and down on the ebony toy. The older tigress looked up at her daughters with a moan, viewing them through a pair of milky white eyes. “They’re ready,” the older tigress breathed into the phone before placing it on the floor.
  178.
  179. The twins gazed at the sight without a hint of shock. Their faces were locked in wide, spacy grins and their amber eyes were focused solely on the item between their mother’s dripping snatch. Artemis’s juices had coated Bograth’s hands in a glimmering sheen, which made the twins’ inner thighs tingle. Artemis removed the idol from her pussy, moaning loudly in ecstasy. She approached her daughters and brought her toy between the transfixed girls’ faces. “Bograth Xala,” breathed Artemis.
  180.
  181. “Bograth Xala,” the twins heard themselves gasping. In an instant, Selene and Luna erupted in loud moans, every nerve in their body sparking in pleasure. At last, they had found closure. Prayer. Pleasure. Surrender. Servitude. Those missing words were all those and so much more. Luna and Selene’s eyes unfocused into a milky white. “Bograth Xala,” they repeated, their tongues moving out to lick the sheen of their mother’s juices atop the idol.
  182.
  183. “Bograth Xala,” Artemis chanted back with a shudder.
  184.
  185. The front door of the house suddenly opened. Artemis kept the idol in front of her children as she led them to the entrance. The two younger tigresses continued to tongue at the idol all the way down, still chanting between licks. At the entrance of the house stood Shin. Like everyone else in the house, he too was naked. His hard cock pointed straight into the air, quivering with precum that was the same milky white as his eyes. Two older foxes, Shin’s parents, stood behind their son. They were also naked and aroused with whitewashed eyes staring into nothing.
  186.
  187. “Bograth Xala,” all six shuddered in unison, various juices dripping onto the floor.
  188.
  189. Their prayer complete, the six proceeded to the next phase. Shin’s father went to rouse the neighbors. Meanwhile, the other five went into Artemis’s car. Artemis sat in the middle back seat, still holding the idol between her daughters as they continued to lick up what remained of her juices. In the front of the car, Shin’s mother had grasped her son’s cock and was slowly stroking it up and down, her other paw was busy toying with her breasts. Shin was in the driver’s seat, breathing heavily in arousal as he drove towards the center of town.
  190.
  191. As they traveled, a small cadre of cars began to follow them, each full of milky eyed supplicants. The cars eventually stopped at the old play theater in the center of town. Shin’s party exited the car and made their way into the auditorium. The auditorium was a large chamber with cascading steps that funneled down into a huge stage in the center of the room. On the stage stood Bograth, an obsidian monument twenty times the size of the figurines. The statute towered above the auditorium seats, its arms stretched up towards the heavens, as it peered down with a headless gaze.
  192.
  193. As more cars arrived, more people funneled themselves into the stadium. Each person had arrived nude, aroused, and with eyes looked off into a white nothing. Stiff cocks twitched in the air, and slick pussies dropped on the steps as each person made their way in front of the monument and splayed themselves on the stage. Eventually, whole families from all across town were prostrating themselves around Bograth, touching themselves and each other in supplication.
  194.
  195. Luna and Selene stayed at the top of the stairs, looking upon Bograth with milky eyes. The rest of their company had already prostrated themselves upon the stage, but the twins waited, dripping and shuddering with anticipation. After nearly an hour, the stage was full of writhing bodies.
  196.
  197. With everyone else in place, the twins walked down the steps and took their place as Bograth’s newest prizes.
