玉面狐見天神識破，恐怕被擒，連忙又改了變化，化了五個惡鬼。這五鬼分五色，按著青、黃、藍、白、黑，分五字，乃是殺、盜、淫、妄、酒。這五鬼也甚厲害，不論道教、佛門，若是沾惹著這五樣是非，便能虧損道法。妖狐變這五鬼，以為天神忌諱，不肯上前，便可設法竊遁。豈知二郎神一見，眼望哪吒太子，帶笑說道：「妖狐大概力窮技盡，故用這些障眼法鬼混。待我等變化個降鬼之神，暗暗的捉他。」于是二郎爺將身一幌，便化成專食惡鬼的鐘馗，左手執著牙笏板，右手托著金鑲白玉的酒杯，虯髯亂乍，笑微微的眼望著五鬼，用板便指。哪吒太子見二郎爺化了個醉鐘馗，也把身形忙著一幌，變了個武判官形象，猶如火炭硃砂染的一般，天生恨福來遲的惡貌，皺著雙眉，瞪著兩眼，對著五鬼舉著寶劍，真是雄威可怕。	玉面狐見二神變化二判，要捉他變化的五鬼，心裡覺著仍難脫身，便又復了蛾眉女相，與二神對壘相敵。

The demon fox as those five ghosts thought that the heavenly deities would fear it, and refuse to attack, so it could make its escape. However, as Erlang Shen saw such a thing, looking toward sNezha, he laughed and said, "The demon fox is probably running out of options, thus trying to create confusion with these tricks. Just wait until I transform into a god that can take down these ghosts, and then we can catch her." With that, Erlang with a spin, turned into the evil ghost eating Zhong Kui, the left hand holding a ceremonial ivory tablet, and a golden, jade-inlaid wine cup in his right. His bristly beard flared wildly, and he smiled faintly while fixing his gaze on the five spirits, pointing at them with his tablet.

Nezha, seeing that Lord Erlang had transformed into a drunken Zhong Kui, quickly shook his own body and transformed into a martial judge. His appearance was as fierce as blazing coals dyed with cinnabar. His naturally grim visage, as if perpetually lamenting the lateness of good fortune, featured furrowed brows and glaring eyes. Wielding a precious sword, he faced the five spirits with a commanding and terrifying presence. Yumianhu upon seeing the two gods become two judges, wanting to capture the 5 ghosts that she had turned into, felt that her escape was unlikely, and returned to her maindely form, to fight with the two gods.
